Alan Pardew admits he is an admirer of Romelu Lukaku

Taking that with a pinch of salt. First time I seeing that.

But you need movement, someone to make run threatening runs in and around oppositions' defence to have a threat at goal and Schurrle provides that option with his directness as well as better than the rest. With the trio of H-O-W, there is a tendency to be doing everything in front of the opposition and not enough behind them. At times, the ST is our only attacking/passing outlet upfront while there is not enough support breaking forward.

Tottenham Hotspur put in-demand Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku top of their summer shopping list

Shakez mentioned a valid point but also, against sides that defend deep against us, you need movement, someone to make those penetrative runs in behind oppositions' defence and Schurrle does that better than Willian. He complements our ball hoggers Hazard, Oscar IMO. And besides, these teams won't be just defending all the time. There will be times they get out of their shell to attack us and need players like Schurrle to exploit the space behind them.

Chelsea Are the Ultimate Test for Zlatan Ibrahimovic's Paris Saint-Germain

Luiz has done well in the midfield role this season when we are looking to be proactive in pressing, tackling and intercepting the ball (or player) higher up the pitch. Think question marks still remain on him when say we take a more reactive approach in sitting deep, defend and only pressing when the opposition to within certain distance of our goal. Not too sure if he can genuinely keep his discipline, mind etc on the task if that is the case. We have seen him done alright in such cases but also failing in it.

Crocked Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o is desperate to recover in time for Paris showdown

Aura or no aura, they still have some decent quality players that can hurt anyone on their day and not to mention, they are fighting to avoid relegation. Won't be easy especially at this time of the season against these kind of teams. EDIT: Mind you, Swansea completely outplayed Napoli in both games of their Europa League tie and should have won..

Point taken but one could argue that the circumstances then made us play that way and you could also maybe we were slightly unlucky not to pinch a goal from the chances we got at Arsenal.

It is those kind of games that have been our issues. We have gone to Stoke, Villa etc when they have been poor and look what happened. With regards to Swansea, we have struggled there in recent seasons.

Arsenal's Per Mertesacker blames early kick offs after string of poor results away from home If he's serious, then it's quite pathetic.

Nothing surprising. We are like always the 'Enemy of Football' while they are the 'saviors', the 'angels' of it.. Sort of. Why do you ask?

I know that. Duh. Gonna have nightmares if that happen. If we don't win it, then I bloody hope City do!

Yup. Said this yesterday..

Am aware of that but the way people have gone on about it, it's like as if they will become a better player. Have no problem with the discussion in general. Was just making point across, like how others have made theirs.

Like I said, players make the number they wear memorable and symbolic to them at the club, not the other way around. I get it with others placing a high importance on this but each to their own. Not too bothered with this ultimately.

This is rather typical. We thrashed one of our title rivals 6-0 and yet most of the talk after the game seem to be about Andre Marriner's mistake and Arsenal's failings. Nothing much about our brilliant performance.

Shame we didn't/couldn't get the 7th goal. That would have been Wenger's heaviest ever defeat as a manager and it coming against Mourinho, us in his 1000th game would be sweet!
