I'm kinda scared heading into this game. The situation is almost set up too perfectly for us. And it's such optimism that has damaged us in the past.
-
Positives: 1. Good performance. Players were up for it. 2. Created so many chances and clear cut ones too! 3. Clean sheet!! 4. Schalke's draw with Maribor. 5. Top of the table Negatives: 1. The finishing. Rui Patricio made some great saves but with like 4-5 one-on-one chances, we really should have scored at least 2 of it. All the shots were low FGS!

People need to make up their mind about the Mata situation. First, you have people saying that he didn't fit into Mourinho's plans and it was a great decision to sell him especially for the money we got. And then, the same fellas also say that he should have stayed and fight for his place. Jeez people. Make up your mind.

Jose Mourinho: I'll stay here for as long as Chelsea want
-
Not if you believe Sky Sources.

Think that was because it happened in the last few seconds of the game. Different to doing that with minutes to go in the game.

How is that a proper justification for what he did? That and not shaking your opponent's hand is equally bad. To say one is worse than the other is absolutely nonsensical. It's courtesy/sportsmanship for the managers to stay until the end of the game, regardless of the result, shake hands and then leave. To do so with several minutes to go smacks of arrogance. If people really want to justify what Mourinho did, then how come no one did that for Lambert? Not shaking hand with the opposition's manager is bad but given the circumstances, why should Lambert then show him respect if the former doesn't by doing what he did? It's rather insensitive that people can find 'reasons' to defend Mourinho but not Lambert and understand why he didn't shake the hands then. Like I said here previously, if someone did that to Mourinho, pretty sure the reaction would be different altogether on the manager that shake the hand and leave early. TC will be in a meltdown.

Pretty sure that's part of the plan as well. It's never straightforward with Mourinho.

Just to join this petty argument for the fun of it, you hit the nail of the head there. It does smack of arrogance whenever Mourinho does that, especially when he chooses when he wants to leave early based on whether we have won the game already or not. It's as bad/disrespectful as when one manager doesn't want to shake the hand of another manager. Imagine the meltdown here if someone does that to Mourinho.

While I do not doubt for one moment that Costa is having the hamstring problem, can't help but to think that Mourinho is trying to protect him from the media pressure if he suddenly stops scoring by constantly emphasizing on the injury issue. Good management, if that's what Mourinho is really trying to do.

Arsenal need to be more dangerous from set-pieces says Wenger There's just too much irony in that.

I'm sorry but can't defend to save his life? Please then give examples, other than the Shakhtar game, of games in which he struggled really badly defensively and/or we conceded goals because of him. Average passing? Compared to the other full backs we have, I don't see them possessing a more spectacular passing range than Bertrand and I don't quite recall the latter of giving the ball away oftenly because of 'average passing'. Crossing wasn't that great? Wasn't that great means it's good at least, no? If you say that of Bertrand, then I wonder what do you think of Ivanovic or even Azpilicueta's crossing. The former, in general, is arguably the worst of the lot with his crossing.

Erm, where did it say Dan Levene in the story? And amateurish headline? That's just the standard direct news headline.
