I have to say, after reading the news today...F*CK THE ENGLISH MEDIA! Judging by all the stories out there, you would think City have won the league, all because they beat a distinctly average Southampton side yesterday. What's worse is that Mourinho has been playing down the talk of being the new invicibles, insisting that we will experience bad results while the media has been the one hyping us and claiming there's no title race, we are too strong for others, we will go the season unbeaten bla bla bla. Yet after the draw at Sunderland, they have suddenly changed their tune by saying we can be stopped, Sunderland showed everyone how to nullify us, we won't run away with the title etc, as if we have been talking big and saying we'll win the title at a canter when they have been the ones doing that. Absolutely f*cking piss taking!!!

Funny thing is, Dortmund may be bottom of the table and yet they are only 10 points away from the final Champions League spot, which isn't exactly a lot.

Think I'm gonna combust if we don't beat Spurs. Already not handling the weekend's results very well here.

Didn't Luis get owned by Zaha in the Palace game?

Horrible weekend of Premier League football. To say Southampton were poor against City would be an understatement. Played like a team second from bottom rather than second from top. In fact, having watched their last two matches, Southampton looked like a distinctly average side. The hype about them seems rather misplaced. On the other hand, I feel sick every time Lampard scores and speaks for City. Still can't believe he's actually playing for them. Absolutely piss taking!

Still can't beat the Ivanovic-rhino reference from last night though.

Think people are posting in the wrong place about Luis should start ahead of Azpilicueta at LB in matches like yesterday. Not the latter's fault that he's being played at left back and can't contribute to our attacks.

You didn't just park one bus. You parked three buses!

Media logic --> Schurrle is ill = Not playing = Media thinks he's fallen out of favour = Writes BS that the Mourinho wants to sell him

With that yellow card Matic picked up earlier, it means he's now on 4 already. Get one more and it's one game suspension for him. Eeeek!
-
Do not want to take away Costa's aggression because that's what make him good but really though, he needs to control himself and stop getting combust so easily. Gosh! Could have so easily been sent off today! However, regarding his yellow card, his elbow may have landed on Brown (IIRC) but it doesn't really look intentional and the book feels a tad harsh. But oh well, at least the suspension will be served now. Hopefully, it won't cost us against Spurs.

Honestly, we have a tendency to make shit players look world class. Altidore aside, Ivanovic also made Wickham (WICKHAM!!!) look like Ribery for goodness sake!

Can't expect the team to play exceptionally well and win every time I guess but that was quite an average performance. I don't disagree with Mourinho about the need to have stability in the team but I do wonder if he should have made some changes to the starting XI. It was the same XI for the third time in a week and some of the players have practically played every game for us this season (e.g. Matic, Fabregas, Terry etc). Could and should have freshened things up. As it was though, Mourinho should have brought on the substitutions earlier rather than like after the 75th minute although I must say we completely lost our shape after Drogba and Remy came on. We switched to a back 3/5 and there was no cohesion in our play, nothing changed and we looked more likely to concede than score. Luckily, their shooting was wayward. Also, gotta question the lack of width play today. Everything was being played in front of Sunderland. Too narrow and little penetration. Made it easy for them to defend and frustrating to watch, even more so when the players started taking shots from distance. Extremely annoying! All in all though, a draw is not the worst result. Take it and go home. Still have a decent gap at the top. Hope we improve in the upcoming games and prove this was just a one-off. And it's Southampton ALL THE WAY tomorrow!

If history is anything to go by, then prepare to concede at least a goal today. We have won our last 9 league meetings at Sunderland but kept just one clean sheet in that run and that was in 2008. In fact, in 13 Premier League matches at the Stadium of Light, we have recorded just 2 clean sheets! The other one came in 2001 in a 0-0 draw, the last time we failed to win at Sunderland.
-
Even if we want to be skeptical about that, I don't see any reason why we should buy/sell in the January transfer window.

No worries Kieran. Any amount of donation is much appreciated here.
