  1. Love this! Good on the lads for pushing him, he will regret not doing the gym work in later years. Versus Chile he looked/looks so lightweight, played as well as the rest of Brazil, flashes, but he looks gangly and awkward without being tall, not sure how else to describe it - Bambi with one ice skate on, sounds harsh and negative but it’s not meant as such.
  2. The crazy part is that had paperwork been signed we’d of banked a loan fee for Fofana and £22m from George.
  3. I think he will do a job for us, which is sufficient, Brighton will then try to pull our pants down in the summer, maybe (maybe?) we don’t go for it and he rots at Brighton until the following summer and they shoot themselves in the foot. its just as, if not more, likely that we get fleeced.
  4. What was the halftime tantrum about? Anyone know?
  5. If you gave me a choice between a CB of my choosing, within fair reason, and a ST before the window closes and Jackson still goes, I’d still lump for a CB.
  6. Contrary to most, his attitude can be a good thing. Everyone wrote him off or is writing him off, so use that, similar to what Cole did, everyone laughed at us for signing him over Smith-Rowe, and/or for £40m, a ‘nobody’.
  7. Interesting to see reaction. At the end of the day he’s a Chelsea player now so he has my full support.
  8. I do not understand that kind of deal but the loan fee is crazy. Loans without obligations are so frustrating. Cannot see Nico doing much there with his disciplinary record and his offside appetite.
  9. GK and CB definitely, especially carrying and passing out from LCB, I hammered Colwill for not progressing considering how we all rated him and out of his tourney win but now it’s made me step back and think how integral he was, with his learnings, for our play.
  10. Very concerned about the striker department. Pedro and Delap are an upgrade on Jackson for sure but I’ll still maintain we lack a Giroud. What an option and a player he was for us, feel bad describing him as an option but he really had dimensions to his game for a tall chap.
  11. I haven’t watched anything at all of Fermin, in terms of him vs xavi, what is he better at? We lack speed and penetration, we’ve had enough of slow the attack down pace with Sancho (disappointed it didn’t work out with him).
  12. Amazing that Milan actually do a permanent deal rn.
  13. Early days but I do not see what Gittens brings. All aboard the Mudryk train!
  14. 20m euros, I’ll take that, with a hefty sell on or buy back. Time to start having buy back clauses in these potential signings at least. Similar with Tammy iirc?
  15. Seem to be what Spurs wanted to do with the Leverkusen CB, loan with buyout obligation.
  16. He looks very off the pace, very. Cannot see him doing much but it’s early days.
  17. The only silver lining is that I think the Jackson quote is fair even if the actual expectation was £65-70m, if we were going for Jackson it’d be at LEAST £80m quote.
  18. Feel for Eddie, man oh man he’s had a tough job considering what he’s delivered.
  19. Bringing players into an already started season, hate it, I know it’s easy to say but the Costa and Fabregas summer was needed, amazing.
  20. Ah Ruben, honestly one of my favourite Chelsea prospects, if not the top. Such a real shame.
  21. Reported that we value Garnacho at £30m, as I posted before I’d be happy with that, we’ve spent £30m on worse signing potential.
  22. £30m plus bonuses for Garnacho I’d be fine with but is he going to throw a strop vs Gittens.
  23. The only thing that bothers me about Jackson is if we wanted him from another club we’d be quoted and have our pants pulled down for £75-80m.
