He's been at Watford for 3 months now. There's no need to rush and risk an 18 year old's development based on 3 months. If the worst thing that can happen to him by leaving him at Watford is that he will dominate Championship for next 6 months, I am cool with that. Hell, I'd be ecstatic. If we rush him and he sits on the bench, that would be the worst possible scenario.

All this stuff about him supporting the club since he was young seems bullshit at this point. He only started saying Drogba and Chelsea were his 'idol' and 'supported club' after the media began to draw comparisons with Drogba.
His idol is Thierry Henry. His dad and 2 brothers = Definitely Arsenal supporters, as has been confirmed in the past.
I'm beginning to think that little video package on Youtube of him visiting Stamford Bridge was really just a set-up and hopeful tear-jerker to push the move through.
You don't join a club like Chelsea at his age and expect to be playing loads of games. That's just unheard of.
He's now embarrassing the club whether you realise it or not, and is disrespecting the fans, the players and the staff. Doesn't sound like he supports the club now that he's getting money from us, does it?
Literally thousands of footballers would beg, kill, do anything to be in the position he's in.

Even if he had been here for 15 years, that still isn't a good enough reason (Raúl.. Real's famous number 7, had been at the club for 20+ years). The only reason JT's shirt will be retired is because it's well outside the 1-11 numbers.

Don't know why everybody puts Oscar in their 'top' 11 already. He hasn't played a game for Chelsea so far...

I think people need more realistic expectations for Oscar. He's clearly an immense talent, but coming from the Brazilian league to the Premier League is an enormous step up and to expect him to immediately be Iniesta or something is unrealistic and unfair to him. (Just like expecting Hazard to be Messi is unrealistic and unfair to him.) These are young players coming into a new league where players are faster, stronger, and more talented and they will have their ups and downs at least in the short term.

I'm also DEEPLY dissapointed in Eden Hazard!
I mean 3 games already and still he didn't:
score a hattrick
had a passing % of 100%
won all headers
turn a rabbit from his hat
change his shirt with the referee or linesman without anybody noticing
managed to get some fire out of his new Nike's when pulling a sprint
also didn't manage to run the 100m below 10 seconds!
actually didn't even ran 100m in a straight line!!!!
play on the RB, CB, CM, CAM & ST in the same game!
even won us some silverware!!
...

I mean what a useless buy he appears to be!!!!!!!
Enough Irony. If I read more of this posts where new players are getting smashed down after only a few games... I think I will delete my account and never return to Talkchelsea again because this is really getting outrageous!!
I think a lot of fans here totally forgot what it's like to be an actual football fan. Going to a pitch close to where you live... to see the local boys getting better and better in every game.. in the end win some trophies => the whole village is just one big party!!
No instead a lot of 'fans' here choose to support a big club, thinking Chelsea will produce Fantasy League soccer every single minute and all players shine like if they were Greek Gods in every second they appear on the pitch. What are you guys exactly thinking???

Before people forget Mata had a lot of games where he was missing, does that mean he's not that good? Drogba had plenty, yet still a legend. Terry just last year had a shocker against Carroll. Ronaldo used to go missing also against big teams for United... you cant expect players to play well every game, especially a pre season game, when the aim is to get fit.

It's a shame that people on the forum will say how he sucks and how we should have never bought him the second he has a bad couple of minutes.
