  1. Why though? Ferriera is better than Mancienne. I could see your argument if it was Hutchinson who was sold or Bruma sold but over around 40k in wages you would prefer to go a significant step down in quality? Why play youngsters for the sake of it? Why should Sinclair and Mancienne been considered after barely making the team at great teams Wolves and Wigan? And you shouldn't blame the club here. The players were not good enough. Never the players fault for not being good enough, it's the clubs fault for choosing the wrong club? If anything all they could have done is chosen Championship teams for those two players as they are Championship players.
  2. He is two footed and would be worth a try
  3. Cole and Ferriera good dribblers...ok then. Torres is not a dribbler Ramires' unortodox style of dribbling is effective. He is never fully in contol of the ball IMO but is just so fast and committed as well as having a bit of flair when he's on the run he gets past players alot. McEachran has a natural ghost dribbling effect and so does Mata. Sturridge, Kalou and Luiz are also decent dribblers
  4. Yes Baker is an U18 player. Sometimes plays for the reserves if there are injuries or lots of players on loan
  5. So you would rather have Mancienne to Ivanovic? Stoch/Sinclair I give you would be decent squad players but whether they're here or not it's not going to make much difference in the short or long run. What did you expect the club to do with Sinclair after he couldn't get into the Wigan team consistently for a whole season?
  6. See what I mean when I say he is overhyped? Good potential but still far off the first team.
  7. As for the game itself: Blackman looks good. His shot stopping is excellent. His height is a natural advantage but for most people it would also be a disadvantage for ground shots but his agility and reactions are great . Needs to work on catching crosses and kicking though. Kane worked hard, reminds me of Walker. N'Kumu was good, Pappoe was shaky. Ake was great. Nditi didn't really impress me again. Baker and Swift showed good moments of skill but as midfielders they do not take charge of the midfield and look to make instinctive and incisive passes and in just general keeping possesion. Good dribblers but they will need to do more than that to make it. Chalobah was solid as usual and is by far the most composed and the best passer in this team. Affane was non-existent which was a shame, was impressed with him first round. Feruz had good moments but was a lonesome figure while Piazon was average. And Kiwomya needs to learn to use his pace outside the box and also how to play football outside the box. Right now I can only see him doing well as a striker playing off the last man
  8. Thank you. In terms of potential Piazon is one of our best young players but in terms of hype he's also probably the most overhyped. Feruz is also hyped alot but although he was poor tonight he has done very well this season and no one assumes he should be starting every game after scoring a deflected shot like Piazon TBF. Also there's always one self-piteous person who cries about Terry being the last one to come through, oh woe is me, Chelsea are rubbish with youths. This is getting tiresome. Name me one player we have let go who could have been Chelsea quality since Terry. Just one. Beckford? Lita? Mancienne? Sahar? Cole? Don't make me laugh. It is not Chelsea that was wrong it was the youths. They were not good enough. After Roman came in he spent alot on the academy and scouring it's only now it's coming through. The likes of Mancienne would have gone through a system made for where Chelsea were before Roman came in. Now stop crying over spilt milk and try and be happy our youth is doing well which right now is the most we could ask for
  9. I don't understand why you don't think Kalas isn't ready considering he's already one of the best defenders in the Erividsie. I do not want to see that team played week in week out but I'd like to see it tried in a Barce-esque team full of playmakers. Not many set positions and no set formation just a fluid team movement Kalas and Luiz at the back because they can go forward, keep the ball well and press well. Ivanovic as the fullback that stays back (Abidal) and Bertrand as the one who attacks. That midfield is the closest we can get to three midfield playmakers and same with the attack, Mata as a false number 9. Dropping deep, making things happen. And the reason I put Kakuta on the left is that I believe he's a good player (certainly better than Anelkalouda) and is another one of those playmaker-type players that pass quickly and move quickly. I do not see the harm in trying to emulate one of the most successful tactics in recent times. Yes the players are not as good but the reason I choose some of the younger ones is simple that theyre more suited to the style.
  10. I hated how everyone write him off after one bad game for Chelsea and an average season for Liciester. Just look at the beginning of this thread. Even now I know many people who dont rate him for no reason even though he's doing very well on loan. Sigh
  11. In 5 or so years..hopefully: Courtois Hutchinson Luiz Kalas/Chalobah Bertrand Ramires/McEachran Romeu Sturridge Mata Hazard Lukaku OR Courtois Hutch Chalobah Kalas Bertrand Ramires/McEachran Romeu Luiz/de Bruyne Sturridge Lukaku Mata In the meanwhile I'd like to try this team. Barce style: Cech Ivan Luiz Kalas Bertrand Meireles Romeu McEachran Sturridge Mata Kakuta
  12. Should have started vs Portsmouth I have said this on the Bertrand thread but it would be great if we could have him and Ryan as our two full backs in the future. Two English, homegrown, academy graduates who can cross and defend. Sadly it looks like we'll balls it up with Bertrand and not sure if Hutchinson can still make a come back all the way to the first team. Still crossing fingers!
  13. Should have started vs Portsmouth
  14. Sigh..we could easily have a future full-back duo of two homegrown, English academy graduates who can actually cross the ball, and defend. But we're Chelsea and we'll balls it up although with Hutch I can understand why he might not make it. But seriously this is just embarrassing for Bertrand. I'm on my phone and can't be bothered righting out a full story on why Bertrand should be given a chance so here's the bullet points: • Cole has not been good this season • Cole is 31 and declining • Bertrand is young and impressing in all his appearances • Bertrand could have easily rejected that 4 year contract and gone out after all these loans. But fair play to him for not doing a Stoch and staying to fight for his place. • unlike most young full-backs, Bertrand can defend. A massive bonus • unlike most Chelsea full-backs, Bertrand can cross. A massive bonus • in any case, surely some competition in LB would increase the performances of both players as well as giving Cole a rest If Cole gets injured and AVB pussies out and plays Bosingwa at Lb orFerriera I'll actually be tearing strips out my hair >:|
  15. know many people want McEachran and Lukaku (if they could) to go on loan to PL clubs in January, but there's another one who I also think should go on loan - Bertrand. Not that I think he actually needs to. Certainly less a need than the other two. But I think it would be better in the long-run if he did... I'm seeing a similar situation to Sturridge in the first-half of last season. In all Bertrand's appearances he's impressed to a degree and he also did well in pre-season. Playing in reserves he's also clearly to good, (this was also the same with Sturridge last year, remember the 4 goals against Bayern Munich reserves in a friendly?) and it's doing nothing to aid his development even if it aids the reserves. Meanwhile even though he's doing well in his chances and the first-teamer above him ha been consistently average/poor throughout this season no effort has been made to even let him compete for him in PL games (Again, like Sturridge and Anelka). I personally thought Sturridge was ready for the first-team then and I think the same of Bertrand, but if a loan is the only way to get himself noticed than so be it. So in January I'd probably let Bertrand go on loan. I do think he'll do well because he is a good LB. Can defend and has a decent attacking game as well, with a good cross. Then hopefully next season we can see him make a breakthrough. Ferriera/Bosingwa can be used as back-up LB for the time-being
  16. Bet yuo are now Only Blue And Kalas is doing great at Vitesse
  17. I do think Piazon is hyped quite alot by the general mass of Chelsea fans, I personally don't think he's any better currently/has any better potential than Chalobah (though that is definately not a bad thing) but he has all the makings to be a to player. It's just that on most forums/on youtube because he's scored in both games everyone praises him and say's he's ready for the first team when in the actual games there were other players better than him, and against Arsenal it's clear he needs to improve physically. However I am still a fan, he's smart on the bal and has adapted quickly.
  18. sever has the right starting line-up but poor bench.
  19. Cech Ivanovic Terry Luiz Bertrand Lampard Romeu/Mikel McEachran Sturridge Torres Mata
