  1. RLC off, he's had a good game, though goes down easily sometimes.
  2. Typical Arsenal 'keeper! Haha that was great winger play from Kiwomya. I'll take back what I said about him being shunted out to RM..for now,
  3. Wright and Beeney are both first year scholars who are 'squad' players in academy terms.
  4. Pappoe was very good once upon a time, injuries have cost him a lot of mobility that he never really had. He was as good as Chalobah at CB when he was younger. Surprised Baker missed, but Feruz doing what he does best. He's had a poor game but will still get you those goals,
  5. HT 1-0 Arsenal RLC, Davey have played well. Some poor decision making and confusion between defenders been our downfall so far. Feruz is also struggling, he is having too drop deep and hold the ball up which is not his game. Shame about Nditi getting injured, but hunte coming on should giev us more balance going forward. I'm still not sure about Kiwomya on the right. Seems like he's been shifted there because he's fast, I think he's similar to Feruz and should be played central, though obviously that would mean one of Feruz/Kiwomya on the bench. Having said that this is also about development and him playing wide will help him with on the bal work, movement etc.
  6. Beeney Christensen Davey Pappoe Wright Loftus-Cheek Baker Kiwomya Boga Nditi Feruz Nditi LM Though TBF that's where he played for Juve I think and we played well. Haven't seen Wright before, chances for him. Nice to see Pappoe too,
  7. Can't say I disagree with him, level-headed analysis
  8. McEachran says he's, "ready for the Premier League" and also says himself his development has 'stalled' since he made his debut at 17.
  9. Nathan Aké has signed a contract with Nike: http://t.co/8phLJft24X http://t.co/4teow4yRF9 Recently Nike have signed Sterling and Eriksen recently, plus have the likes of Walcott and Neymar signed. Not surprised Aké has joined this young elite :-)
  10. Blog post from Spanish journalist who rates Courtois as the best in the world: http://laligauk.com/laligauk_yii_blog/index.php/BlogPosts/view/id/178/title/Courtois+-+The+Current+Best+in+the+World%3F
  11. There was one moment I didn't like when Josh lost an easy ball and Austria counter-attacked, he put his heads in his hands in frustrated and just stood still, ignored defensive duties, didnt have an incentive to get back. Attack didn't amount to anything dangerous, but Josh should have tracked back espiecally as one of the two midfielders. It is akin to the penalty moment IMO in the previous international break, he missed and put his head in his hands in frustration, Zaha scored from the rebound but Josh didn't celebrate, still kicking himself for the penalty miss. I doubt it's a self-indulgent thing, more self pity - "I can't believe I just did that!", but needs to snap out of that daze.

  13. McEachran kind of grew out the game after a very good start, began misplacing more passes, stopped taking positions forward, but still a fine showing from him overall.
  14. mcEachran on at HT for Chalobah in England U21s, instant impact, good pass, and then wins a penalty as his shot hits a hand. Converts resulting penalty. Commentators saying how he is in danger of not getting called up for the tournament in summer, that'll do him a world of good.
  15. He's off now for McEachran. He had a good half. Showed his passing range with some passes that were just inches off, barely lost the ball, an example to our midfield of how to hold a disciplined role in the pivot. He has a very good touch that he uses to his advantage in midfield, uses the ball intelligently and defensive work can't be ignored - very solid.
  16. Jesus, what a save from Austria 'keeper against a Chalobah first time volley. Why did he save it? That was so good it should have gone in.
  17. He recently signed a contract only months ago so not sure where all this has come from. I know someone who is room-mates with his brother at university, and apparently it's all BS. His contract supposedly on £3k a week at the moment.
  18. Lukaku said a similar thing, something like, 'for the rest of this season I don't care about Chelsea's results, I'm not looking at them, I want to focus on West Brom'
  19. Two goals in two under 19 appearances I think.
  20. Has scored tonight for Dutch U19s
  21. I love how Torres looks so feminine bottom left
  22. Feruz may have to either adapt his movement to be a false no.9 almost, so the team can play around him using possession, and using link-up play which would suit him. At a push he could maybe also be a winger. He has good dribbling and very good acceleration. But really, he's a goalscorer, I think if he was out-wide he'd be more frustrating/inconsistent. Fair enough he is strong for his size but if he was our striker we'd almost have to exclusively play on the ground, which I want us to do but we always get into a habit of launching the ball sometimes. Really I'd like to see a loan next season, even just a short one month one to start with, just to see how he does at least.
  23. Your wish has come true :-) That is 1 goal and 3 assists in 4 appearances so far I think.
