Who would you sign to lead the line at Chelsea?
Shane replied to Melanicus's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
There is a huge difference. He has lived in Brazil till he was 19 and both his parents are Brazillian, He never lived in Spain until he got a professional contract there. Diego Costa isn't Spanish, he is Brazillian, he was born there and brought up there. -

No, but there is a difference between your circumstances and Diego Costa's. Diego Costa was born in Brazil, was brought up in Brazil, started playing football in Brazil, Played for Brazil in a friendly, then decided that he wanted to go to Spain. Yours and Diego Costa's circumstances are completely different, there is no point in even trying to compare them. -

FIFA shouldn't even allow it though. Goes against the point of International football. We can pay him in underage prostitutes aswell -

It was 2-0 at the time, and if you keep a 2-0 deficit into the Home leg where Athletico have a great record you could still go through. Costa wasn't playing that well last season, but with the way he's playing this year he was certain to start for them. He already has friendly caps for Brazil. Its the country he lived in since he was 19. Brazil played Hulk on the right aswell, and Neymar on the left, and Costa could have started. A chance to play for your Country in the World Cup in Brazil and he turned it down, that I have a serious problem with. Your country is your country, you shouldn't be allowed to change that, Especially since he already represented them in friendly's. -
No excuses if we don't win this now, Cabaye, Tiote and Remy were there 3 only good players.

I want QPR to go up because Its nice having abit of a derby in the league.

Lets be fair here, Drogba used to throw little tauntrums aswell. -
Opinions you have about Football that are unpopular amongst others. No need for any big arguments or anything, Just a place to share what you've been thinking. I'll start off. I have never experience a player more overrated in my life then Zidane. Great player yes, but Nowhere near one of the best ever.

Yes, If he retires at the end of the season.

quick question regarding Chelsea top printing
Shane replied to Rhonin's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I'd get Bosingwa 17 in respect to him mate. -
Was disgraced by him tonight. 2-0 down and kicked out, getting booked and missing the Second leg. Don't think he's all that either to be honest. One good season in a poor league.

Yeah, Athletico could really count on him tonight. 2-0 down and he got himself booked for kicking out so he's out of the return leg. What's the point of International football if he can play for Spain when he was born and brought up in Brazil? Its crazy. He had the chance to represent his country in a home world cup and he turned it down. As for not starting, He is better then Damiao, Jo and Fred who Brazil usually start so he probably would have. -

Drogba was the same in fairness. One thing that I hate about Costa is that he turned down the chance to play for Brazil in a World Cup in Brazil to play for Spain. Crazy. -
Yeah, But I don't think they'll take the mentality that West Ham did, and If they do I'm sure we'll break the deadlock this time, But their midfield really suffered with the lose of Cabaye. If Matic plays, think we'll bully them in that regard, Also after the City game I'd love to see some swagger from us. Putting them to the sword. Remy is still out aswell I think.
-
I'm not playing it down, I'm saying it shouldn't be used to keep Laudrup in the job this season. I don't know where people get this myth that he's a world beater of a coach for winning a Carling Cup.
-
Very good season last season?! In the Premiership, He scored 8 goals. Thats after Rafa changed our whole style of play to suit him. In 64 games he scored 22 goals, which, when you realise some of the poor opposition we played in the Europa League, Carling Cup, World Club Championship etc is very poor. He was sulking in interviews after the greatest night in our history in Munich. Him getting paid 180k a week is my problem because Its the club I love and I see that we could be spending those wages into better area's in the club.
-
Don't even dare to insult my loyalties to the club. Torres is a disgrace. He clearly doesn't give a fuck about us or the club, with his constant inconsistent performances, his mood when we won the FA Cup and his speaking out after he didn't start the Champions League final. Still getting 180k a week for being useless aswell, and his goals to game ratio is shocking, his overall play is shocking and his attitude is poor.
-
I don't know why people are so fond of Michael Laudrup. For me, He got lucky with the Michu signing, and he's gone off the boil now. He wasn't going to keep that up forever. Got his side pressing high yes, and playing nice football, but their results in the league have been dire. They got spanked 2-0 at Upton Park, and are only 2 points above the relegation zone. With Rodgers side with a few more faces added they were in the top half, now this season the wheel's are falling off the bandwagon. Won a Carling Cup yes, But who did he actually beat in it? We were in free fall under Benitez when they beat us and then had to play League Two Bradford in the final! Thought as far as sackings go he could have no complaints. Spend money in the summer aswell, with Shelvey the only one of his signings that have been of any worth, and Chico Flores is a disgusting human being.
-
These are dire. Without Cabaye they looked lost against Sunderland. Getting thumped 3-0 at home to your biggest rivals...again. Going for 5-0 Chels.
-
If you don't like it then don't come into it. Simple as. Frankly, I'm insulted that this useless piece of shit is getting 180k a week for being a sorry excuse for a striker.
-
The game last night would have really taken it out of the players, and with the game on Saturday and then Tuesday we have to keep our players fit. I'd like to see Cech Ivanovic - Terry - Cahill - Azpilicueta Lampard - Matic Salah - Oscar - Hazard Ba

Going to sleep with a huge smile on my face, Feels good. Boring, Boring Chelsea.
-
Haven't seen a performance like that from a central defender in a long long time. Take a bow Gary. What a fucking display.
-
The whole world now see's why we sold Mata and brought in Matic. What a fucking display from him today, and what a strike. I'm as straight as they come but If Jose came knocking on my door right now i'd happily pull them down and bend over.
-
Proud to say I said in the pre match thread that we'd win. Fucking knew it, just knew it. What a result, What a performance, what a fucking team and Mourinho, what a fucking man. Had a few quid on us aswell. GET THE FUCK IN CHELS
