To be fair I saw another segment of him talking how AC Milan got a great deal with Bakayoko. Said he covers the ground well, is great going forward and defending and has good passing range... So kind of tells you how he views the game. lol...
-
Giroud is below average. Not to mention not cut out for a system like this. He is far too slow and can't press.
-
Martial over him for sure. Fits better and is the far more dynamic player. Need pace. Can never have enough of it, particularly in a system like this.
-
Christensen is a good distributor as well. He has shown Luiz level distribution at times, and is slightly more sound defensively. The issue is with more physical players he still struggles. Luiz is a tank back there as well.
-
Literally a game in and you guys are complaining about him like it is the end of the world. Won't even give him any chance to play in the system.
-
Yeah, we need a goal scorer like Giroud out there. He was really banging them in for fun at the WC.
-
No way bro! Morata in double digits? Impossible! Not like he did it last season after being labelled Torres 2.0 by the forum. Imagine if he actually gets his confidence back...
-
He has as many goals as Lukaku and Kane so far. I honestly saw progression in the last game. He didn't score. So what? He did everything right out there, and he didn't go down easy. Had a few great hold up plays. Not the end of the world if he doesn't score. He had 5 less goals than Lukaku last season in about 10 less starts. The team as a whole struggled last year, and his confidence was shit, plus he had niggling injuries. He is still super talented. He is going through a rough patch. He will come out of it.
-
He really had to score in the first game, preferably first half for all of you to get off his back. He is doomed with this board. Doesn't score? Shit game. Realistically, had some great link up, provided good movement, and drew players away from Pedro for the easy goal. Hazard could have gone either way almost.
-
Hazard the only one capable of scoring more than a dozen? Really? Why over-exaggerate? Morata knocked in 11 no problem last season while being injured, missing some easy chances, and having everyone on his case for how terrible he is.
-
Well don't I look like a fool. lol...
-
Hazard just beat 4 players... Jesus.
-
FFS let CHO play.
-
Say what you want about Luiz defensively, but those passes he is pinging are perfect for this system.
-
Just my observations: - Barkley looks lost. Holds onto the ball too long and often isn't looking the right way. Frustrating. - Pedro floats in and out. I wouldn't say he has been productive. - Found it interesting some of you complaining about the way Willian is playing. He is playing the ball vertically and taking men on. This is exactly what we need in the system. - Morata is doing all the right things, but we aren't creating. When he has gotten the ball played to him, he is using his wingers well. Good to see him not falling over. Great movement as always, and when Kepa has found him, they've actually created the start of some promising counter attacks. Think this will only get better with time given the end product isn't there yet. - Alonso looks terrible. Especially considering how narrow we are playing. He doesn't have the speed to allow himself to be that narrow. Not to mention he seems the one most inclined to hoof away the ball. - I was one worried about Azpi and how he would fit into the team, yet surprisingly he is one of the more sturdy ones back there. - Don't know what to make of Luiz. - Kepa has got skills. I'm a little nervy with him considering he is new and I want him to do well, but he has been fine in there. Moves really well. Few mess ups with his distribution, but not concerned. - Kante and Jorgie have been great. Jorgie in particular you can see knows what he is doing and moves the ball quick. The other players need to get that in their head. Willian and Morata are the other two who seemed to have grasped this the best so far.
-
That was a nice build up too. Beautiful play. Seeing some of the Sarri ball coming through.
-
Having a good game against Spurs. Some great breaks where he has beaten 4 or so players on two occasions now.
-
I'm fine with the front 3 and midfield. I actually think between Morata, Pedro and Giroud, we get enough different looks up front. Feel the winger rotation is decent. Willian, Pedro, Hazard, CHO. That is one of the better rotations in the league. Also really happy RLC is sticking around. For some reason, think that Sarri can make a player out of him. At the very worse if he can't fix him tactically, I think he makes him an impact player. RLC is clumsy at times, but in general he is a very technically capable player. Cesc there for leadership, Barkley there to finally make a push and get some consistency. Good midfield bunch. Definitely happy. My biggest concern is defence. No idea who will be starting at either of the CB positions. Don't know if I like Azpi on the right for the system. LB is terrible with Alonso. Emerson has looked a little shaky too. Really think this is our biggest problem area.
-
Hazard has been great for us. The best player we've ever had. If he does leave, I'm cool with it at this point. He has given the club a lot, but we are also in a position where we have a great up and coming left winger. CHO would be able to take the reigns in my opinion. Losing your best player isn't the end of the world. I'd love for him to stay. I'd love for him to finish his career with us. But Fergie with Man U often got rid of his best players earlier than some people thought was a good idea, and still managed to get his teams to take a step forward isn't of regressing. In all though, lets hope he stays lol...
-
Some of you really don't have a clue lol... Failed lol... Failed and got picked up by Real Madrid. That is a new one.
-
Man United also signed Korean sensation Park Di Bus.
-
I wonder how Azpi will fit into this system. He isn't the quickest of guys to be playing in the FB position, and I'm not particularly sure he is suited to that role in a possession style game. Bizarre as he is one of our best players, but one I find most trouble fitting into the team. Don't think he can be a CB at his size, but then again, who knows. I'd prefer him at CB than RB. He can whip the ball in well, but not sure he is suited to building up play from the position. Isn't quick enough and silky enough on the ball for it.
-
Unpopular opinion, but I really don't get the hype. He can keep slotting goals all he likes in the Italian league, but I don't think he'd be all that great on a bigger team. Don't see the finer details in his game. Don't think he is particularly dynamic, or makes up for certain lacking qualities with athleticism.

Should do a straight swap for Courtois.
-
I hope that fee isn't true. Spending that much on a keeper, but won't go out and get a decent RW, or Martial for example who would amplify our attack, and make us unpredictable going forward.
