Realisticly speaking, i see us heading inot the season with Lukaku, Torres and Ba. JM wilk make Lukaku the #2 striker and Ba/Torre will be the 1st or 3rd choice strikers. Why? Because its known JM was interested in him when he was at Madrid and also because he's just too talented.

I think you may have miss understood. All Leif has said was that Cavani "has the engine of Ramires." where did he compare Cavani's passing to Rambo, or his heading to rambo or any other trait to rambo? He simply compared his stamina to ramires. I dont see much wrong in that, and thats all he did. unless you mean he shouldn't compare ANY trait of Cavani's to rambo then thats a whole other story.

Damn, if that's true shit may get real, real fast. And unlike others, If Cavani comes our top two STs next season will undoubtedly be Cavani and Lukaku. It's known that JM rates Lukaku so i dont see him sending himg out on loan. And Cavani will be the undisputed leader of the Front-line. CFC become real title contenders (w/ JM and Cavani joing the ranks) and everyone's happy...or at least the people that matter.

Amen. And that problem you mentioned goes to show how difficult this team is configure out personel wise. Some people are strict CAMs, others are CAMs being played out wide, B2B mids being played in pivots when really a 433 would suit them best. It is a major headache putting forward not only the best XI but getting the right back-ups (in the transfer market) for certain positions and then also meshing in the upcoming talents such as the Lukaku's, KDB's, Ake's, Romeu(?), Josh, etc. our team really is hella hard to put together, its like an ultimate jig-saw puzzle.

And it's wired cuz that's exactly what I envisioned of him when he first arrived (playing in CM) It was a shame for him really but he didn't pout about it, and just got on with it and still contributed greatly,, props to him. But next season playing in the pivot is a must.

I really hope this transfer comes through. I WOULD have liked to have seen Oscar/KDB given that central role, but this is just too good to pass up, if we are in fact looking for his signature. Modric is a little magician in midfield, and it would shoot us right towards title contenders no doubt about it, if this came through. No more Rambo as the be all and end all in midfield as we'd finally have a proper DLP And in fact I think this gives our team the felxibility to play a 433 if we decide to give Mata a break (Lord knows he needs one) ----------------Ba/Torres/Lukaku-------- Hazard/Schurle--------------KDB/Moses --------Oscar/KDB----------Rambo/Modric -------------------Romeu/Mikel------------ That looks epic to me. I think the club would be more likely to get Modric just because of our past connections with him season ago. I would be happy would either,, but i think modric would be best pickup. He'd really help that pivot 10 fold. Nd i know people complain about the lack of physicality but is there really any other DLP that offers the passing AND strength that is available? I struggle to really think of one. Joao Moutinho was an option but also he was on the short side. Soooo i dont see how we could go wrong with Modric.

In fact the commentators here even mentioned that (it was a sea of blue, dark blue) and I think that goes to us always being there. We've been there what? For like the past 3/4 off-seasons? And it really has paid off. Apparently 10k people were there at CFC's TRAINING SESSION yesterday, that's special man. And today's game was sold out, all 48k some odd seats and that's never happened in Busch stadium, not even for the Cardinals! (Damn)
