I really want to see who we have to face towards the end the season. Best believe that we'll have to face one top 4 team and Liverpool/Spurs in our final 5 games, while United will have faced all the top teams by Feb. First home game? Could care less who it is just as long as its home cuz that atmospherewill be EPIC!

If we went for Lewa best believe they'd want KDB in the deal (to help replace gotze) and that would be a hard decision to make. But if we could get him without a player involved, that would be the best of both worlds. Still think Lewa fits our team more so than Cavani but either option would be ideal. Decisions. Decisions.

The problems we faced were lack of depth and quality off the bench. By getting rid of Ba we lose both. And if we plan on challenging on all fronts we need as much depth as we can reasonably have, not to mention by keeping Ba around it would offer a nice spirit of competition. That all top clubs need to have.

I think the Drogba comparison was made just out of fun/good-will and JM is smart enough to see how he plays. Right now (your right) he plays a pace oriented style, in which he tries to run off the defenders shoulder and would really only uses his size to help him shield defenders off the ball. Again, thats right now. Surely as that pace erodes he'll learn how to fully master his size and play like a target man but at the tender age of 20, he has plenty of time to learn. Also, I think the Drogba comparisons were made out of good will and not as serious as your making them out to be. JM is a smart man, I'm sure he'll recognize that.

But why not? If he is willing (which I'm sure he is) to accept 3rd choice, why sell him? Remember it's not like we're asking to lead the line week in and week out, let's say Lukaku picks up a knock and Cavani needs to be rested (which will surely happen as the season unfolds) surely Ba would be able to do a job. Edit: LDN beat me to it.

If we buy Dzeko we'd pretty much be funding their Cavani purchase so for that case, I don't think this will happen. In an other world maybe this would have happened, because Dzeko is the type of striker you need for a title race because he seems to score those crucial goals against the lower teams.

Agree with the Two above, we have to keep Moses here. If Oscar's long term position is going to be CM then we'd have Mata, Hazard, KDB, Schurrle and Moses as options for the 3. That would be enough depth as maybe Rambo or Oscar could play up if anyone catches a major injury. However, with Schurrle and KDB coming, we've gained two options but then if Oscar is indeed moved and we sell Moses then we'd have lost 2 options. Leaving us all the way back at square one. No depth what so ever. So if we plan to be challenging on all fronts Moses will need to be here and provide some good shifts for the team. Also, buying a squad player is hard these days, so its good to hang on to the one's you already have.

You hit the nail on the head. I still think we could have searched for better options else-where, but its already done. Glad we kept KDB as i think we can focus on other areas of the pitch to strengthen now (DM, CB, CM) And our attacking three look set in my eyes with: Hazard/Schurrle--Mata/Oscar (as i see his main position as CM)--KDB/Moses Schurrle's gotta work on his finishing and decision making big time otherwise fans will be all over him like they were on Danny Boy. (sturridge) Being a hard worker is great and all but even that can only go so far in endearing him to the fans. Hazard and Oscar (especially the later) put in good shifts defensively while still being a threat offensively, Schurrle does well working for the team but going forward well.....its hit or miss....mostly miss.

It seems he was not included in schurrle transer, so with that being said i think it shows we plan on using him this upcoming season. Would we really not loan him to Bayern Lev only to loan him to BVD? I really don't think we would pull such a stunt. But i wasnt in the negotiating rooms so one can only speculate. If he stays for good i have no worries he would get enough games. Oscar and Mata have played what 60 games?? theres no way that should ever happen again. And we all seem to think oscar would be moved to the pivot so he would get games starting on the wing with moses and schurrle as options off the bench.

I wonder who we'll be facing then.

Another CAM?? hahahaha we just can't get enough! The guy is 28, so i don't quite think that the bench is where he wants to be. HOWEVER! if he's willing (which i would be if i was in is position) to say come off the bench and start some games, i say go for it. And if you can remember the season he had under JM back in 2010, you know it was straight FIRE! All would really be depending on his attitude and how desperate he is to play in a top league again. I can see this (if mata gets subbed or is rested): Schurrle-Sneijder-Hazard/moses -----Oscar--Mikel/De Rossi? Thats a great option to have, and gives us that depth we've been crying out for coupled with the Schurrle signing.

Pretty sure he will blossom under JM's guidance. A hard worker for the team AND gifted on the ball. Doesn't get much better than that for JM.

The position he's played the most is RW. But as of late he's been deployed in cm. As someone already stated before, people are jumping to the conclusion we had when we were going for hazard. Remember that whole, "Hazard wants to play centrally, oh man we won't get him then cause Mata has to play central" well, KDB CAN play centrally and he does a fantastic job there, but people make it seem either a.) he'd be unhappy playing out wide or b.)he can't play out wide completely. Those two are not the case as he's played there for the Belgian NT team and it's where he started his career as a player for Genk, not to mention he also played games there during his time at Werder Bremen.
