  1. @MrExcalibur have you forgotten how we played from August till Jan 1st? Where you yourself said sometime during that stretch that "whats amazing is that every game we've never looked like the inferior side, even during the loss against NewCastle." Listen. Nobody will argue that our second half of the season has been hard to watch. But JM noticed something in our squad, and has decided that pragmatism was the way to go to secure the EPL trophy, and it has worked. We're 15pts ahead of the Great Man City.. And running away with the league. For many of us, JM gets a HUGE pass because that decision has paid off. And at the same time he's instilling to Hazard, Costa, Azpi, Courtois, Zouma, and Cesc (whose NEVER won like this) how to grind out wins and be mentally strong. How many times has Cesc been on the other side of a game like today against Chelsea w/Arsenal & Barca? Where his team has 60%+ possession and time after time Chelsea still would win. If we had played this 'bad' THROUGHOUT the season you'd be correct, but that hasnt been the case, and you know that. So when you, Lionsden, Styles, and MrBlueGuy all harp about how negative and outdated JM is many will defend him because that hasnt been the case ALL season. However i will concede that some of the criticisms are totally legit, like JM's youth policy and such, and its good to see people checking him. But whats amazing is that that same outdated manager has us running away with the league. But of course. Our rivals are shit, our league is shit, we no longer dominate the UCL like its England's right to do so, So who ultimately cares if we win the league right?
  2. Wow, only 3 pages after a match we nearly sealed the title? Ok then. Anywho, the Atmosphere towards the end was amazing! Man U were never threatening our goal, that Rooney chance was really all they had. Great tactics from the boss, JM. Dont care how, just that we won and the fact we're running away with the league is sooo sweet!
  3. Mike Dean is now the GOAT. Excellent decision, that twat Herrera can fuck offffff One Step Beyond!!!
  4. I was gonna reserve that for Remy...but Hazard definitely gets a pass as dat nigga. :lol;
  5. When you create a moaning thread, but some of the biggest moaners on TC dont post in it
  6. Completely agree. This City side, remind me of our Chelsea 2010/11, where, everybody just seemed 'past it'. We made a few signings, Torres-David Luiz-Mata. and our final 'push' was instead of a PL title, a UCL. Your right, if they sign 2/3 key players, not overly expensive they should be right in the thick of things again next season. Not to mention the 'player power' i keep hearing City fans discussing..This city side has many parallels to that Chelsea team. Edit: @DYC beat me to it lol.
  7. Lmaoo, but its known that Benitez has his teams prepare for weeks, often ignoring the upcoming league games, so he can win European matches. Goes to show why his teams typically do well in European competitions.
  8. Wow, things at Bayern Munich are going from bad to worse! Hollywood FC just couldn't stay away from the headlines i suppose. And apparently, when Mehdi Benatia got injured, Pep Guardiola did this... Scenes!
  9. im genuinely already pumped for the summer transfer window lol. Just can't wait to see what the club's next step is, because we can really take that next step if we target some class players.
  10. Highly doubt we'll be in for him having singed Cuadrado. Looks like we're eyeing a World Class CM. But why did you sign a new damn contract Reus, why... . We could've set up an end of season transfer for you! However, if we signed Reus, that would essential mean that Willian becomes our new #10 in JM's eyes i assume. And any CMs we sign would then be squad players. Wonder what happens.
  11. TC hasn't been alive like today in forever..
  12. Lmaoo that was classic. Anyways, Eden is the clear POTY, hope he continues his brilliant play in these last games.
  13. Yess, just seen the results, knew Barca would drop points but not in that fashion. Madrid can still win it, just need James and Modric to stay healthy!
  14. Third time lucky charm? Oscar, willian..now Nathan. Hopes he's a REAL prospect for us, or is he in for the loanee trearment? Lol
  15. He's two years late to the party. Lavezzi and Cavani got their moves, but i will say both have been very disappointing since their transfers away from Napoli. They had a very special thing in Napoli them three.
  16. I've been agreeing with @NadavTKL's sentiment that our new signings should be World Class players. This was why in my first post i said i'd love Schneidy "IF we can sign a top top option for the '3' ". I think we can agree that this team is on the cusp of somthing special, right? Even if its next year. but if we really want to take that next step and be with the upper echelon clubs we need more game-changers. Simple as. We need to stop relying/targeting on the Oscars/willians/Cuadrados (so far so bad), and Douglas Costas, and the like. If we really want to be a major force, we should go all out for Pogba/Koke/Reus/Bale & whatever World Class options are available. Hazard deserves a better supporting cast, and we have the £££ to blow so FFP is not a factor rn. The way i see the football landscape, we have the potential to really be the measuring stick for all our EPL rivals, much like during JM's first reign. It was our Back-2-Back titles that drove SAF to evolve his system, and create a new dynasty that went on to 3-peat. I honestly believe that can be the case again, If CFC continually evolve, and keep strengthening the side, with REAL talent. It will only drive The Mancs and Arsenal to be that much better. Thats why i think it's imperative we target serious talent this offseason.
  17. I dont think that would be the case because, this would be someone JM trusts. He wouldn't need to wait for "his ramires to be back" only for the second half of the season, and would definately be a better alternative than Mikel. JM can be more proactive in rotating the squad, without having to fear that No matic equals No win. However i will concede that its hard to tell who JM 'trusts', because i feel he's being loyal to players he has no choice but to be loyal to (in his mind). I would think, signing Cuadrado would equate to him rotating the from '3' more, but it hasnt. if we sign Schneiderlin and a top top option for the '3' i really think we'd be set.
  18. Lmao i was just coming to post the above ^. I think we should sign Schneiderlin as a replacement for Mikel, and backup to Matic. IF, we sign a top class CAM/Rw on the level of Hazard. Schneiderlin has revealed that he wants UCL Football, and will push through a move if it doesnt happen this season.
  19. Lmaooo oh the irony! Samir Nasri has outdone himself once again! (From last year)
  20. How United are above City, only God knows lmaoo Wow...im over the moon right now. Pelligrino can fuck right off, and good luck to City as they try and rebuild this ageing team under the constraints of FFP. Get mad. And now your gonna believe us And now your gonna believe us And now your gonna believe uuussss WE'RE GONNA WIN THE LEAGUE! Edit: now that im lookin at the table, i hope we go on to win it by 10+ points. Hahaha Theres nothing anybody could say to that!
  21. Fuck off! such poor defending there. As has been the story all season.
