Nah it does not matter if you have Dybala, aguero Messi, even if if I give you Ronaldo, Messi, hazard in one team. It means absolutely nothing in international football. International comes down to who has the better defense and can you knick goals. France won wc not because they have Griezmann or mbappe. It was because of kante, varane, umtiti, pavard and hernandez. Even when Portugal won euro, Ronaldo wasn't even the star of that team. They played ultra defensive and just try to knick goal at the other end.
-
That is how he play everywhere. He is an agitator and I honestly think we need some of that
-
Good game. Liverpool had the better game but Messi solve tons of problem. To beat Allison who is the best gk in epl right now (de Gea is having a nightmare period) from that distance is just brilliant
-
A good thing playing against pool. Either safe build up or let them have the ball
-
If Ajax goes through I can see them getting smashed by either pool or barca. Liverpool thrive playing against this kind of team whereas against Barca if you play an open game basically you will give barca no 10 space to play and not many team survive doing so.
-
It will take years. This Ajax player learn to press in their academy.
-
He will proab play as dm I think but he won't be as static as busquet. What a player though.
-
Why? with Ruddiger out he become our 3rd choice CB. If we signed another CB then it is bye2 ampadu. 0 path for him to get to first 11. That is how you give youth a chance.
-
Because we have ampadu. If we bought another CB just say goodbye to Ampadu

It is difficult to judge Zidane, he inherited wc squad and he didn't change much. He won 3 ucl in a row which almost an impossible task but he won the league only once. Finish 2nd or 3rd twice in la liga with quite big distance to Barca. If you are using eye test, his rm team is not as dominant as 3 time ucl winner. Last season I watched them once in La Liga and they looked absolutely awful. So for people who watch them this season and think it is because Zidane and Ronaldo. Nope they looked awful even with Zidane and cr. So is he a motivator? A tactician? A squad builder? I don't know
-
Nah the problem was our pressing, we actually handled any press quite well these days. We can still do our build up. I am more concerned about what happened when we get to final third. We need more offensive spark. Funny for all the crap that people say about Pogba, I thought he is going to be perfect for our left mid position. But we have ruben, hopefully he can grow and be a monster player for us. I don't think they press that hard, yet of course when they lose the ball sometimes they press that is normal for every team but in general they drop deep in their own half.
-
If you watched aguero, he actually change his game quite a bit to suit guardiola style. But he is just happen to have very good technical skill so it is not difficult to change. Jesus fit perfectly to what pep want, he press hard and very2 versatile. In pep positional football, his ability to play on the wing, as am, as striker is very2 beneficial. The problem is he is just not a goal getter in Aguero class
-
I don't know how Pep improve Fernandinho. He started to play that discipline role under Pellegrini. Luiz ? Luiz was fantastic when we won the league playing in back 5. That is the key. It has nothing to do with improvement. He has always been error prone. You just have more cover with back 5. Sarri has done wonder with Cho especially defensively. Still not great but much2 better. The same with rlc, tactically much improved. Honestly with Kovacic, I don't know. He has tons of talent but I think he is more suited to deeper role than in attacking cm role.
-
I said it before we are in transition period moving from Conte/Mou style football to more attacking front footed. That is why we look so dire. Many people said that Sarri turned us into a soft team which I agree with but Conte played with back 5 in low block to create good stability in defense with this team. Imagine doing it with just 4. But if we want to play front footed football, we can't do it with 5 player at the back. People want fantastic offense but we don't have any creator. The last time our offense look good we have magician called Fabregas in our team. I absolutely agree on you using our academy player as filler which Chelsea has done this season. We have ampadu, CHO and Ruben in our squad. Two are playing regularly. That is how to use your academy. For me I don't want Lampard. Not right now. He should come when everything is ready. Not now, otherwise it can be a disaster.
-
Jesus was actually the preferred striker in the beginning but Aguero has done well improving his build up game. He is no longer just a striker who run the channel plus if you watch this city team, they need a goal getter as striker. Aguero pretty much guarantee 20 goals a season.
-
I agree but in our team somebody in our midfield need to help us create otherwise we are screwed. We have hazard + one RW. That is it. The rest of them cannot create. Jorginho role is to play ball mover from deep. Kante had done quite well but he is not a natural creator. Both of our fb are useless offensively. Our striker are old target man and old poacher.
-
The gulf in class is ridiculous. But it is going to be difficult for pool to replicate this next season. They have been pretty lucky with injury this season. No major injury to their important players. Their depth is not as great as city.
-
I have no idea how do you improve on 30+ player. I don't see pep making David silva or Fernandinho better. But he certainly make sterling better.
-
Not just from fans but from the club. I thought Sarri handled CHO perfectly except the last few games where I thought he should have not started all of them.
-
I don't understand about fixing foundation of the club. That really sound way too vague for me. I won't use our club as example because the foundation of our successful era was Abramovich cash. I'll use United. United had an amazing class. Class of 92 that created fantastic spine for that club. But it is very2 difficult to replicate that even for United. To have 5 first team player from your academy while competing for epl is extremely difficult. For me what I wantil is very simple. Have a clear understanding of how we want to play. Sign the correct player. I don't give a damn who the manager is as long as he fit the mold of how we want to play. That way we can have a continue success.
-
The problem is our fb. Against diamond the whole world know who will have space. It is like united gave us red carpet to attack them but our fb are just so bad offensively. They offer 0 threat going forward. How many times we are in situation where our winger cut inside congest the mid and our fb have acre of space yet nothing happen. No danger. If People say then ask our fb to stay inside and our winger to stay wide. Yes we did that but it was too slow. Just watch the difference between klye walker underlap and our underlap
-
You must watch different game. United did not press us, they drop deep into their own half. The problem was we were not compact enough. The space between the lines were too big. They pressed us more in the 2nd half which we handled quite well.
-
This type of fans infuriate me. I was angry with Sarri when CHO got injured because he started to play CHO too often. The guy is 18,this is his first season in full flight football. But clearly there is pressure from the fans and the club to play him.
-
You clearly have never watched Napoli play to say so.

Higuain is officially the worst CF
