Jorginho is much better than kante at giving cb angle, hence we can progress the ball faster, but I think Kante is a faster passer. Btw finding player that is good at both is extremely difficult. If you look at the big team, mostly either one or the other. I have to say the trend now is to have a solid dm rather than dpl. Some use their CB like Alaba to progress the ball.

Hmm I have just watched the video, that is strange way to analyze. It didn't show anything about willian or Pulisic. It showed how to play Full back. The clip with Pulisic was similar to Willian at min 33. Did Walker try to take on Willian? Of course not. At min 34 Walker was isolated one on one high against Willian, that is when you take on somebody.

Walker is playing a defensive rb for city. They push their two cm so high so Walker need to be conservative while taking on player.

Injury cost him, bu otherwise he was a monster. When he came Pep pretty much designed his left side for Mendy. For pep and team like city to pretty much do that you have to be damn good

I don't think he is looking for a lcb though Laporte pretty much have that nailed down. As lb maybe, not sure Mendy will return to Mendy that I watch in his debut. He was an absolute monster

United is a very difficult team to play though. Good defense, super fast attacker. Plus for all the bs that United way is an attacking way, solkjaer big game plan is even more defensive than Mou.

Like @NikkiCFC said it was a game of mistakes. City without striker is just dumb, tons of posseseion with 0 threat. They were much better when jesus and silva came on. On our side, Pulisic has been getting numbers which we have been missing when he was gone. Christensen was fantastic, but this is his game, no physical battle, playing as cover cb and he suddenly turn into world beater. Mount pressing is fantastic, the same with willian. Barkley i thought did ok, was surprised with his inclusion, I thought Kovacic for sure. Kante is kante, azpi is azpi. Alonso was the surprise. I was afraid of him vs Mahrez but he did well.

That is not really the problem here, Christensen is great if you ask him to intercept and play against techincal team but once he has to play against physical team which is the majority of epl he struggle. That is why i think it is better to sell him to Barca and get a more physical cb

RLC is very lethargic, he can't play dm. I really like Mount so I don't think it is a major step up. But let assume it is, for 100m,he better be game changer.

You just answer your own question, that is 8 player for 4 positions, that is a lot. We won't move Jorginho unless we can sign midfielder and no mount and Ruben cannot play as backup dm

Timo/Puli - Tammy/Giroud - Ziyech/Cho I haven't added Barkley, mount, ruben and Anjorin. That is a lot of attacker. I also assume that michy will be gone next summer.

I personally think it is either Havertz or Werner not both. With or without willian we have enough attacker for next season.

The problem with ruben is the fact that off the ball he is quite lethargic that is why it is difficult to find the best position for him, his skill set probably suited to cm/am role. But those require you to run more.

I personally disagree saying that the level of cb has drop. IMO team are becoming more offensive and pressing is becoming more important, it is very rare to see big team to play in deep defensive line.

They never mention his weaknesses though which is equally important when talking about how he will play for us.
