Most defender play better in back 3. Less ground to cover = easier job. In reece case, my point is more about he is not slow like alonso. It is very2 difficult to get better defensively as fb if you are slow. Cb wise it is important to be physical especially in epl especially because ref in England allow more physical battle which is good imo. In our case, I will take Zouma clumsiness on the ball because he offer physical and aerial dominance which we are lacking. In different team with different personel in different system Zouma may not be the right cb. Btw Bundesliga is less physical than epl, it is more of an open game with high line. If salah or mane is in Bundesliga, I can see them scoring 40 goals a season in a good team.

With reece, you can tell he has the physical attribute to be better defensively. With willian on the right, we don't need our right fb to be dominant defensively but he need to be good enough,of course being being dominant is welcome. Tons of people said that Zouma is suck, they don't rate him, should have been sold. Just look at Zouma thread. I have praised Zouma so many times but most think he is useless. That really depend on your definition of rb. But offensively he is excellent especially his crossing and passing.

Leader to keep james in check? I don't get this leader talk. Defensively james need a lot of work, he just simply need to get better. It got nothing to do with leader.

You are right Tomo, jorginho is very2 good at keeping possession. IMO better than kante and Gilmour. The problem is, he is such a liability defensively that he need to offer more than ball possession. I am not asking for long ball behind defensive line, that is not possible since his passing range is not great but I want much more between the line passing. It is similar to cesc and pirlo. Both are unathletic but both offer so much offensively that you are willing to compensate.

I have watched United twice after restart. They looked very2 dangerous. Fernandes creating as am, pogba creating from deep,Greenwood scoring from every shot (good luck kepa), but the most interesting part was Rashford. He play more of a creator role which is interesting.

I am inclined to rotate a lot for this game. If we win, brilliant if not it doesn't bother me.

It was like watching Sarriball. I am not sure we can win many games playing this way and definitely not the way Lamp want us to play. We created a few and we concede almost nothing although i'm not sure i can credit our defense. We played Norwich who didn't play their full first team at SB.

Quite surprised that you have such a low regard for muller. I haven't watched him in years but I watched him against leverkusen after the restart, I thought he was excellent. He is not skillfull but he can feed the frontline, occupy space that is vacated by the winger or striker and press hard. I personally love this kind of no 10.

That is crazy mindset, it only work if you play super controlling football otherwise your defender pretty much have to be perfect everytime

My point with jorgi is he need to give us more. He need a kante/kova next to him to protect him and also help him bring the ball forward as ball carrier. what is his job then? There are a few game I thought he played well helping us bring the ball (can't remember against whom, it has been a while) but he need to give us more of that, he is not a kid. I have no problem with jorgi last year, if we want to play Sarriball total possession sure, but we want to play faster and more direct so he ned to adjust his passing.

Is kova fit to play?

The problem with Jorgi is that he need to help us progress the ball faster otherwise there is no point playing him there. With kante our ball movement is also not as fast but defensively it is night and day.

So it is easier to incorporate young attacker to a team. United is playing 'youth', only Greenwood is truly young. The rest are experience professional.

Those 3 look dead. It doesn't take a genius to understand why. Our two best presser and our mainstay fb.
