  1. we need to go out all guns blazing, score once or twice early and turn SJP into a cauldron of hate. dont think their players would be able to handle that pressure right now
  2. wow...everytime I come on here it's not long before I'm reminded why i stopped frequenting this site
  3. only found a shocking quality stream. I thought this was suppoed to be on Benfica TV?
  4. who's doubting him? Mata's universally loved on here
  5. good news. always been impressed by based Chalobah. tbh thought he would be in the first team as 4th choice this season but loan is definitely better than 5th. would expect him to return and become 4th or even 3rd in the pecking order next season.
  6. Who you know truer than di Marzio? riddle me that
  7. he might turn out to be a revelation for them this season I was watching their game versus Atlético and it felt like he was involved in all their attacks. He was running, passing and dribbling well but sometimes he stayed on the ball too long and his decision making let him down, not unlike we've seen at Chelsea. Tonight he scored, only caught the 2nd second which was great work by Marin. Ran with the ball against their area, passed it and had it returned in the box. Went past their keeper and simple enough finish. Dont know how he played tonight otherwise besides that he scored another goal but the Sevilla TV commentators described him as a fantastic footballer so I'll assume he played well. Likeable player Marko. Personally thought he would be the one to break into the first team and starting eleven rather than KDB but hopefully we can have him with us next season.
  8. well im sure Wenga is happy. Rooney not interested in going to Arsenal and they don't have to fight us for Suárez signature
  9. wow my opinion is either you need to take high horse stance of both JT and Suárez being scum of the earth racists or look at the incidents as being way overblown due to the extremely sensitive question of racism in football. to be honest I don't see how you can possible say Suárez is a racist but JT is not? as been said 'negrito' is not a racist term in south america but you would be hard pressed to not believe Suárez wasnt trying to get a reaction from Evra, thereby making it racial JT saying black cunt is obviosly racial too no matter if it was said in anger, frustration whatever doesnt mean people automatically have the right to brandish them racists for life and anyone who's ever expressed support to them racists as well
  10. since you now have the ability to see when you're being insulting that must mean you have a personal vendetta with me to still be annoyed with smiley faces being posted months back Oh deary me Kojo... a tiger never changes his stripes eh
  11. yes I remember your postings have always constituted a beacon of light and intelligence on this forum
  12. well old chap I for one am glad we have such great judges of characters on board. maybe you can scout other leagues for us and then tell us who's good and who's bad so the club knows which players are allowed to be brought in.
  13. well I can see how some might've taken offence at me writing "laughing stock of the league". this was tongue in cheek buy maybe not as obvious as I intended,, even if we were to cough up a 100 millions for a Rooney deal and he would flop I would hope we wouldnt become a laughing stock as for your quotes of mine, well just tried to inject some comedy into a heated discussion
  14. I respect your opinion and honesty
  15. Apparently you can't post "controversial" opinions on this forum without getting hit with ad hominems, off topic posts and silly gifs. Unfortunately everyone seem to be bigging up this sort of debating. Some counter arguments would be nice for a change. I guess it all boils down to people's dislike of Suárez so the only thing the can come up with is calling him a scumbag, racist, Dracula, cheat et cet. That's fine with me! Just say something like "Rooney is less value for money but I don't like Suárez personally so that's why I think Roon is a better deal". Simple civilised argument without going off topic. [You know we have players too that many football fans dislike. I like Terry, Cole as Chelsea players. I try not to care too much about footballers' personal lives and as a long as a player doesn't intentionally ruin the team or injure other players, who am I to judge? (Yes biting Ivanovic was really stupid but Ivan has forgiven him so maybe we can move on from that incident for the time being?)] Me personally I can admit a strong argument against signing Suárez would be that he would clearly divide the fanbase, much like Rafa Benitez did. Obviously it would have to be some very special circumstances for us to sign a player if it would mean risking a toxic atmosphere at the Bridge. Before someone asks me why I'm so keen on Suárez... Ideally we would make do with the strikers we have at our disposal but since it has become clear that won't cut it with our fans nor our manager, and the only two realistic alternatives at the moment are Wayne and Luis, all I'm picking sides for who I believe is the better player and option. I'm vocal about it because I believe paying the money being touted for Wayne would be a mistake that's all. oh and "don't like it, leave" "don't let the door hit you on your way out". saved some people their typing.
  16. can you pay a fee of 40-50 millions for a player and then put him on a 3-year contract? that's just criminal
  17. go on then son, tell us how that would be a better deal for us than AFC.
  18. notice how he doesn't mention Arsenal in his interview. all the kid wants is to play and be successful at the highest level of the game. well imagine a world where a football club has José Mourinho as manager, and up top Suárez supplied by the likes of Mata, Oscar, Hazard
  19. if we buy the Roon for £40m on £200k+ wages and Arsenal gets Suárez for the same amount of money on about half them wages...I'll cry tears of sorrow, dive off the mountain cliff and turn into a golden eagle laughing stock of the league
  20. BRING.THAT.BOY.IN strike while the iron's hot and all of that
  21. and? I'm not denying he has BEEN popular, I'm saying he's not on that level of popularity anymore. He aint even liked by his own fans!!
  22. who wants a Rooney shirt nowadays? youngins are still all about Messi, Ronaldo et cet. Roon aint poppin in the streets
  23. soon to be 28 fitness doubts history of injury issues past his physical peak out of form playing wise (will he ever return to top form?) We would help United in a massive way by giving them lots of money for an unsettled player who's unlikely to play a large role for them next season. More funds for them to bring in that marquee signing their fans desperately clamour for this transfer window, I'm not all negative though. I recognise and trust Mourinho's judgment in bringing in players. I would hope for Mou to get him fired up and get at least 2-3 seasons out of him as a great PL striker. He knows the league obviously as you say and has good work ethic when he's in the right state of mind. However you only need to look at someone like Suárez who could actually be cheaper over a standard 5-year contract to realise buying Rooney is never going to be a very good deal for us financially (using reasonable figures with £45m fee for Suárez and 120-125k/week, whereas Rooney would be £35m+ fee and wages north of 200k/week).
