  1. The opposition came complaining straight away...
  2. Maybe that's why I named him? The "seriously" part was because they rarely play, especially King Salomon
  3. Really don't know about Mata's and Meireles's penalty taking abilities, haven't seen them take one... Second taker should be Kalou or Malouda No but seriously, I don't know. Luiz seems to have a good shot in him, don't have confidence in Anelka though. Otherwise I really have no idea... other than seeing the odd penalty shoot out once in a while, we usually only see Lampard taking them... So I can't say for sure who I'd choose behind him, I'd need to be at the training ground for a while to assess them.
  4. Kaspersky is good, but it really does slow the computer down. I had really bad experiences with Kaspersky on two separate computers, both were slow and as soon as I replaced Kaspersky, they got a whole lot faster. Advanced settings option is a plus imo... the more you can configure it your own needs, the better. If you're not much of a power user, usually default settings will do. According to tests Avast is the fastest on-demand scanner. It's also light on resources. AVG has always been a poor av program imo... its speed is nullified by its awful detection rate. But it's better to have AVG than nothing. I personally recommend F-Secure 2011 products. Stable, effective, quick. It also got AV-Comparatives prize of best av product in 2010. Although it's not free and hard to find medicine. Best free solutions imo are Avast or Avira (last time I checked avira was annoying, always telling you to buy it).
  5. Actually Torres could've had another assist when Meireles struck the bar... but his assist to Ramires was very good. He was efficient from time to time, but generally got lost. And he also should take his fair share of blame for the Genk goal. Tbf Liverpool fans have always said that Torres was the kind of striker who can go missing for most of the game, but still get a goal or two from the chances he inevitably gets during the game... The thing is he doesn't get as many chances here per game as he did at Liverpool, but when he does, his finishing has let him down (unheard of from Torres, finishing ability was/is his main weapon)... BUT this season we have seen that he can recover, because we've seen some nice finishes from him which remind us of the old Torres. Now if he can be consistent in scoring and taking the chances he gets, I couldn't care less if he's in the picture or not... I can't remember one solid opportunity he had against Genk. Pre-Arsenal we were all "El Nino is definitely back", and post-Arsenal we are already saying "here we go again"... How quickly things change. And I don't blame the fans, he hasn't been as good in the past 2 games as he was in previous games, but I wouldn't write him off just yet. He might bounce back sooner than we think. Those 2 games (arsanal and genk) were bad spells for the whole team, everybody sucked... Torres is usually good when the team also plays good.
  6. Terry could've outmuscled RVP if they went neck and neck in that race, even if it meant a card... He might have even got to the ball before him. No way did Terry slip on purpose when he had every chance in the world to deal with the situation. And in the end it was Malouda's world class through ball that put him in this situation. When I saw that exact replay on the stream, the commentators chuckled as if they almost wanted to say the same thing, that he slipped on purpose... Watching that gif, his right foot slips a little before he falls. I think his right boot studs got caught in the ground. Fucking hate how every movement Terry makes and everything he says gets so much attention and is over-analyzed.
  7. I don't like that he looks like Rihanna
  8. I noticed against Genk that one time he was sort of making a run, or was just open... he was on the left and the play was happening on the right. So when he didn't get a pass he shook his shoulders or arms or whatnot, but it showed that he was annoyed with something.
  9. I think so too. I think he will use this season to install his philosophy, even if it goes through its cons. Once the team gets used to it, it could be a very efficient tactic. At the moment we obviously aren't used to it. For it to work, the whole team needs to defend as a unit... That's where you need pressing game of the highest level, starting from the attackers... Pressing must start from our attack line to the midfield and eventually to the defence (hence the high line, to retain possession quickly and as high up the pitch as possible). I think it will work once the players get used to defending and pressing all over the field. It isn't as easy as it sounds, it's not just running at the player with the ball with the whole team mindlessly... It must be systematic and the communication and understanding between teammates must be flawless. It's not just the high line... it's necessary if we are to play AVB way eventually, it just doesn't happen in a few months. This season we have a limited squad with players who don't quite fit in this setup... Next season, once the team gels better with some new exciting players, I think we will witness a whole different style of play as opposed to what we are seeing now.
  10. I actually think Cole should take his fair share of blame. He didn't react to Vossen's cut inside and he opted to run towards goal, probably in hope to block the shot. I think he should have reacted quicker and tried to press him. Cole was on the wrong side of Vossen in first place, Camus had no difficulty in picking out a low cross for him since nobody was in between them. But let's look at the situation before the cross came in. Look at Torres... he made no effort to press the player who ran past him, just to let that player pass to De Bruyne with ease. Very effortless. Torres was really lazy in that situation, sums up his overall play. And I also feel that in such situations, where 2 players are about to start combining on the flank, you can't have such space left there... It's dangerous to be 2v2 on the flank. An extra man needed to be there covering... maybe Ivanovic (or Romeu). But where was our "winger" who should be helping out? It should have been Anelka, but Torres switched on the flank for a moment and you could see how he "defends". The whole team looked static in the Genk goal situation. Yes, Bosingwa was at fault among other players... but I feel Torres and Cole should have done better. Possibly Ivanovic also.
  11. that's pretty much a given isn't it
  12. Because Luiz and Anelka were assigned as the penalty takers by the staff. Also Torres has never taken a competitive penalty in his career in England.
  13. Did Luiz bless him before the game? If not, we might be on to something Father Luiz has been slacking...
  14. I had that feeling also. Although the game against Arsenal wasn't as bad as the scoreline suggests, we still created, but our defence was totally fucked... I expressed my concern before that the team (especially the defensive line) might have been unsettled because of Terry, not sure though. And today we didn't play our best squad either, add in some complacency... take away Lamps and Mata, you take away 90% of our creativity. Take away Sturridge and you lose the biggest goal threat. As soon as the trio came on, our game got better.
  15. That's what is frustrating. He can make good runs and all, but his pace, dribbling, crossing and decision making is far from world class. We have so many players who are past it it's unbelievable. And I still think he slowed the game down... not as much as Anelka though, Mikel is quick as a flash next to him.
  16. I get depressed whenever both Malouda and Anelka are playing. Imo both of them slow the play down, no urgency, no penetration... Anelka can be creative and incisive when he feels like it. Tonight he didn't feel like it. And yet again we conceded from our right side... Genk kept bombing from their left and eventually it paid off. Our weak side is too obvious.
  17. Avast or AVG? Avast... no contest. AVG just plain sucks. What anti-viruses are the best? By detection rates I'd say GDATA, Avira, F-Secure, Panda, Avast, Kaspersky and ESET. But it also depends on which suits you best. www.av-comparatives.org is a good site to explore before making a decision.
  18. How sweet would it be to win the CC after beating Foolham and two scouse teams... Now I want it even more.
  19. Why not make your own thread and update it as you wish?
  20. Never in my life do I want to see Tevez wearing a Chelsea shirt. He's left all his clubs with a storm. If he wasn't a cunt, I'd welcome him... but I consider a person's personality a major aspect.
  21. If it could be utilized it would be fantastic. Why not make fan commentary during games also... I don't know exactly how, but it would be doable if some thought would be put into this. Great idea
  22. Neymar or Pato Hamsik or Hernanes N/A, not familiar with Hernanes Gotze or Moutinho Pastore or Modric Hulk or Di Maria Higuain or Benzema
