  2. Kirkland out will be good for us He was top class in the 1-1 at the Bridge.
  3. Only one change; I wasn't aware Mikel was unfit. Will be nice to see how Essien plays, because he likes to roam forward.
  4. Its simple as to what the England team should be, IMO James - despite his exploits, is the best English goalkeeper we have. Richards - plays brilliantly for England Terry - no brainer Ferdinand - no brainer Ashley Cole - no brainer Ashley Young - faster, and a better crosser than Beckham Gerrard - no brainer Hargreaves - a better holding midfielder than Barry Joe Cole - no brainer Rooney - no brainer Crouch/Defoe/Owen - Crouch's height, Defoe's pace and Owen's experience can be called upon. There you go Fabio, not fucking hard, is it?
  5. I'm impressed by Hull, actually, played really well at Blackburn. But with Liverpool only just sneaking past Sunderland and second-best to Boro for 85 minutes, and Arsenal and United slipping up so early, can any of these three teams challenge the might of Chelsea? My fucking arse can they.
  6. I'm looking forward to this game, matches against Wigan are usually quite entertaining, I hope this one continues where we left off against Portsmouth. A convincing win and a clean sheet, coupled with no injuries, would be a welcome result. Regarding the team, I think Alex might play, with marking Heskey in mind. JT and Ricardo are class defenders but Alex's additional height and physical presence may make Heskey's aerial abilities count for nought.
  7. It might free up a move for Kaka next summer, perhaps, but I do not honestly think we'll sign the player.
  8. Real Madrid should allow Robinho to join Chelsea according to goalkeeper Iker Casillas. Spain international Casillas understands his Brazilian team-mate wishes to sign a long-term contract with The Blues and he has urged chairman Ramon Calderon to accept his request. The European champion wants his squad to be composed of players who are committed to the cause, which is not the case with the wantaway Robinho. Casillas, probably the best shot-stopper in action at present, is adamant the atmosphere within Los Merengues’ dressing room will be better without a player who is desperate to leave. “Robinho doesn’t want to stay, that’s why the club must find him a way out,” Casillas told Spanish reporters. “They’ll have to transfer him for the right price for the good of Real Madrid. “We want to keep a very united and strong squad. If Robinho wants to leave we have to help him find a new place to be. “The most we can obtain for the player is the best for the club. “At this hour a Real Madrid professional player must be focused on this club, not on another one that is not paying him.” From Setanta sports. Casillas is 100% correct, a player wanting to leave has a negative effect on a side - look at Berbatov and Spurs.
  9. Arsenal Liverpool are cunts. Spurs are shite. Normal service is resumed?
  10. Goal.com is arguably the worst website on the net Would be stupid to sell Malouda.
  11. I'm not gutted that he is leaving so much, but I am upset it didn't work out for him. The man is a brilliant footballer but he has had no luck at Chelsea. All the best to the big man, he remains one of my favourite footballers of all time.
  12. WTF? I'd take SWP over a guy I've never heard of, and Malouda was excellent in pre-season, and solid against Portsmouth as well.
  13. Probably a load of rubbish, but if the story is to be believed, then he has nothing to worry about - its that other guy who's in trouble.
  14. Jesus Christ. So it looks like they're resigned to losing him. But do we sign him? Don't get me wrong, he is a brilliant player, but will he work out in the Premier League? My gut instinct says yes, but he is young and it will take a lot of money to bring him to the Bridge. That will put him under a lot of pressure to perform and might have a negative affect on his growth. I think he's be a great signing - would be brilliant to see him and Joe Cole on the wings with Drogba up top, with Deco, Lampard and Essien supporting.
  15. Kalou's got the trickery on the ball perhaps Drogba doesn't have. Overall he isn't as good as DD11 but he's more than good enough to offer sufficient cover for a couple of games.
  16. If he is a player like Scott Sinclair then he is worth a go, IMO.
  17. Ederson, who has recently joined Lyon, is going to be the dog's bollocks. He is a player who reminds me very much of Juninho, and therefore a player of such quality would be a perfect replacement for Deco - but we still have three - maybe four - years before we need to consider this.
  18. Not sure what to make of it. If he's signed on a loan, I'd imagine he'll be around the first team?
  19. Shame. Worked his fucking arse off - he only scored 22 goals but so many of them were important - goals against Spurs, Valencia and Villa stick out in the memory. I don't want to see him go because I still have faith in him, but I'd rather see him leave altogether than go out on loan.
  20. Ferguson knows what he is doing. He obviously has faith in Tevez and Rooney who are both great players. But am I the only person who thinks Rooney is nowhere near the player we expected him to be when he was at Everton?
  21. When James went walkabouts, who was on the goal-line? JT I don't care about England anymore, I'm sad to say. We're just a laughing stock. Complete injustice to get a draw, the Czechs were absolutely brilliant, IMO. Cech and Ujfalusi were both brilliant, and what a goal by Marek Jankulovski.
