  1. Scolari has other plans... in other words, CC23 is going nowhere. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/ja...ttenham-hotspur
  2. I didn't feel at all sorry for those who left the stadium. Its their choice. They spend £45+ on a ticket and leave with over 10 minutes left, hardly what I'd call loyal fans. Yes, I can understand they were annoyed and I might have been in half a mind to do so, but at the end of the day its their choice to leave, so its their fault and their fault only. Half of them who left are probably prawn sarnie brigade members from the west lower.
  3. £15 million is certainly a tempting offer, but we should hold out for £70 million plus Robinho if you ask me
  4. If City rival us for any player, its obvious they're going to beat us to them with a greater amount of money at their disposal. But that can work to our advantage, we just have to play the transfer market at its own game. For example, if we put down a £60 million bid for Aguero which was accepted, City would then have to pay a substantial more for the player. So if we don't get the player, we've made City spend more than they need to, and whilst they are busy negotiating for that one player, we can be going elsewhere at the same time as emptying their wallets that little bit sooner. Its not difficult, but I guess for Kenyon it is.
  5. Completely agree with you, its much the same at Barcelona with Bojan overshadowing all their other young prospects.
  6. If the team continue to show the passion and fight they did yesterday, we won't need Drogba.
  7. Milan... Manchester... AC... City.... Fucking great juxtapositioning
  8. We haven't won away, correct, but our home record is 3 wins from 3.
  9. Lyon used to play with wingers, but now use a narrow midfield.
  10. Belletti is a fucking genius, thats what he is
  11. If we sign Sergio Aguero, I'll be one very happy man. Almost half as happy as if we got Benzema. Won't happen. Unfortunately.
  12. Stoch is insanely fast, and yesterday's little cameo demonstrated he has the potential to be a star. Can't wait to see him play more often.
  13. He's got the potential to be world class. If you ask me, we shouldn't be going out and buying players who are already at their prime for extortionate prices, only to see their confidence and form dip considerably. We should be buying young talent.
  14. Well after the last two games, we've seen the squad are together and that they're behind LFS. For that reason, so am I.
  15. You kidding me? The kid's got more potential than Nasri.
  16. Oh for fuck's sake, what a load of bollocks. Let's put it straight, Scolari said to the BBC that he thought di Santo and Stoch could offer more in the game because they trained harder than Drogba, so he put them in his squad. Typical fucking bullshit reports from sad fuckers who've got nothing to do. I'm fed up of these Scolari/Drogba stories that just aren't true.
  17. I'll be disappointed if we don't see Stoch and di Santo start, they both greatly impressed me yesterday.
  18. I think he has had a dip in form recently, but with that being said, since late December he has started to perform brilliantly once again, like he was at the start of the season. Now is the time for players to stand up and be counted, and Lampard is certainly one of the first to do so and show his committment on the pitch. I'm delighted for him to score the winner as captain on his 400th appearance for the club. 123 goals in 400 games. Thats a goal in almost exactly 3.25 games.
  19. Yeah spot on, would appear van Homoet is his middle name or something
  20. Players to sell: Alex and Malouda Players to sign: Hatem ben Arfa, Vedad Ibišević, Joe Hart and a central defender.
  21. Dare I say it, but Frank Lampard of 08/09 is better than Frank Lampard of 05/06...
  22. He does indeed. Hopefully the club won't rush him back, might be worth him sitting out training for a few days and going in the hydro-pools.
  23. I wouldn't say I'd be either happy or sad, tbh. I still think on his day that Didier Drogba is the best player in the world, but I also have to admit it hasn't been his day for a very long while. Whether you love him or loathe him he is a Chelsea hero and for that reason I would be upset, but his antics on the pitch annoy me and I would certainly be a happier person not to see him rolling across the pitch like he has been shot.
  24. Chelsea vs Middlesbrough 28 January 09, Premier League, Stamford Bridge, 1945 KO Chelsea face Middlesbrough at Stamford Bridge as they look to maintain their title challenge. The Blues beat Middlesbrough 5-0 in the reverse fixture back in October of 2008 - can they achieve a similar result at the Bridge? Match chat here
