If we're offering Ballack and Shevchenko in excess of £125,000 a week, we can surely offer that to Tevez.

Drogba, Ballack and Zlatan... Battle of the Egos
-
I want him to come back, he's not a bad option to have come off the bench and his experience is what we need if we want to win the CL, imo.
-
Yeah, as if Liverpool are going to sell their most consistent player to their biggest title rival at this moment.
-
Well... a lot of players would, in fairness. However, Tevez appears to be a player hungry for success and its not difficult to establish Chelsea is where the best chances of silverware lie for him next season.
-
Well I'd say its on par with last season's; there is nothing on that that makes it exceptionally better in all honesty. And no, it was the FA Cup final DVD we ordered from Play; we got the season review from the online store.

Erm... me I think a lot of people underestimate Egypt, I was expecting a result after their frustration of being denied by a last-minute penalty against Brazil, and the win wasn't unexpected IMO. Spain won. Again.

City's financial muscle means fuck all. We're playing European football and have a squad of established international star players. We can at least match the wages he was on at United, and he many times reiterated he was happy to stay there on his current deal.
-
He's a great talent... but £45 million seems far too much to pay for him IMO.
-
I feel we need experienced first division back-up. That's why I personally want Hart or Assman, though I do rate Sebek and Rhys Taylor.

In terms of goalkeepers, I can't see either Cech or Hilario leaving; both are happy at the club or so it seems. I think we might see a few defenders go. Ivanovic's agent says the player is happy but he has since lost his place in the team, although Ancelotti did want to bring him to Milan and clearly likes the look of him. Ferreira might leave as well, although he seems happy being at the club and is ready to play as and when we need him. Belletti might be off as well, even though I would like him to stay. He does like playing Spurs, of course. Bosingwa has been linked with going but I can't see it happening at all tbh, after having such a great season. Carvalho looks like he is on his way too. I can't see any midfielders leaving bar the obvious - Mineiro's contract is up and Deco's a certainty to leave. I don't see anyone else going, in all honesty. Di Santo is likely to go on loan and Pizarro and Shevchenko will most likely be sold, although I personally want Shevchenko to come back. There's reports linking Kalou with a move but I don't think he will go either.

Yeah I've got it, and watched it twice It has highlights from every single game, and runs for just over two hours if memory serves me. Got a few bonus interviews and a feature showing all of Anelka's 25 goals.

What did you enjoy most this season?

Yeah the Stoke away game was fucking mental -
When the bans are suspended, it basically means they aren't going to happen again unless a similar incident occurs. But is it worth having Drogba in the CL squad if he can't play in the first four games?

Who will Chelsea sign in this transfer window?
BlueLion. replied to gary gordon's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Tevez and Aguero would be nice -
Don't really care about the font if I'm honest with you, it doesn't make much difference to how we play

Who's playing in the Champions League next season? What team won silverware last season? What team is full of international star players? It certainly isn't Manchester City. I highly suspect that Tevez will want to play Champions League football next season. We might not be able to match the wages Man City offered him, but I reckon we could match those he earned at United, and that would be enough to sign him, I'd reckon.

Carragher.... overrated? He's probably one of the most underappreciated players in the Premier League...

Goalkeepers - we already have Cech, who is the world's best goalkeeper. However, I've felt he hasn't been as consistent since Cudicini left, leaving me to assume he isn't being pushed enough by another competitive goalkeeper in training. A young goalkeeper should be brought in for both the future and as cover; Hilario is a great reserve, but he isn't Chelsea first-team standard, and we need to bring in a confident, established young goalkeeper who can fill the void, like Assman, Hart or Neuer. Defenders - the one area of the pitch that needs no cover at all, in my view. At right-back we have both Bosingwa and Ferreira, and they can also cover the left-back position of Ashley Cole if needs be. We also have Ryan Bertrand who can play there, and Michael Mancienne can play in either position. At centre-half we have Alex and Terry, and Ivanovic as cover. Mancienne is a centre-back by trade, and we also have Essien who can fill in during emergencies, as well as Belletti who strictly speaking is a full-back. Midfielders - again, this is an area that needs little or no change. With Joe Cole back to full fitness, we will have two out-and-out wingers in he and Malouda, and Kalou, Stoch and even Anelka can also play out in wide positions. Essien and Belletti have also played out wide when needed, so we have plenty of cover there. Lampard, Ballack, Essien, Belletti and Mikel make up the central midfield positions, and its likely Jack Cork may be called up following strong performances at Championship level. The only real cover we need is that of another winger, in my opinion, and Zhirkov would best fit that bill as he can also operate at left-back. Of course, the cover we currently have may not be entirely adequate but we do have that cover available if injuries become plentiful. Strikers - with Anelka and Drogba finishing the campaign in fine form playing together, it would appear we have found a winning partnership up front. However, both strikers are on the wrong side of 30 and whilst we have di Santo and Kalou who are both young forwards, Kalou's form is spasmodic at best and di Santo is relatively unproven against Premier League opposition. We need a striker who is either proven in the Premier League or at least have the experience of playing regularly in a top European league, such as Tevez and/or Aguero. Then we need to bring in someone like Daniel Sturridge, a young striker, preferably English so we can include them in the "home-grown quota," and therefore include more players in the European squads and so on. Let's not forgot Shevchenko and/or Pizarro may be returning, and Pizarro himself has been in good form for Werder. In conclusion, I believe we need: 1 goalkeeper with first-division experience, preferably someone young and competitive who can challenge Cech for the starting position, ie. Hart or Assman.1 winger/wing-back again with experience of playing at the top level, who is similar to Belletti in the way they can play either in a wing position or a full-back position, ie Zhirkov.2 strikers with European experience; preferably one established first-team regular and the other a younger play who can be grown into a potential star, ie. Tevez/Aguero and Sturridge.

The Season Review is great. Just shows what a great season we had, and how bad November was

Beating Arsenal 2-1 and 4-1 was most enjoyable -
Spain won 1-0 against Iraq to book their place in the semi-finals with a game to spare.

Malouda's problem was bad man-management by Scolari and Grant. I don't think its a coincidence he played well under Mourinho and Hiddink.
