I'd probably throw things at them, then apologise and run away.

DROGBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA 1-0
-
0-0 bore draw. Second half has to be better than this.
-
Poor performance so far. Very average. You'd think we'd be playing with some urgency.
-
Best chance of the game so far; Doyle's effort saved by Cech. Regulation save.
-
Decent start by both teams.
-
Will we break our miserable run of failing to take advantage of United's inconsistency? Probably. But nothing's certain in football. We'll probably get a fine for fielding a weakened team, though.
-
United will probably win.
-
Everton reply immediately... with one of the goals of the season. Diniyar Bilyaletdinov, take a bow. 1-1
-
United already winning. Everton 0-1 United Berbatov; 16 minutes gone.

Chelsea players have been warned as to their future behaviour after weeks of lurid headlines surrounding the club. Chief executive Ron Gourlay made the warning in a tough-talking showdown with the squad at the club's training ground this week. The meeting came in response to front-page headlines involving club captain John Terry and his England team-mate Ashley Cole. Gourlay, who was speaking on behalf of the club's owner Roman Abramovich, reminded the players of their responsibility to protect the image of the club and warned of 'severe disciplinary consequences' should any player step out of line in the future. He organised the meeting, which lasted around 10 minutes, together with coach Carlo Ancelotti, who also spoke. Good meeting Ancelotti said: "We had a meeting this week with the players. It was a good meeting. Ron Gourlay was there as well. "We spoke to the players and explained to them the behaviour that is required of the players in this club. "Now they know very well what they have to do and what behaviour is expected of them when they're in the Chelsea shirt." Ancelotti had in previous weeks gone out of his way to insist he was not bothered what his players did in their private lives as long as it did not affect their performances on the pitch. But the Italian insists he is interested in the image of the club. Protect He added: "We are interested, me and the club, in protecting the image of this club. Not only the players and the manager, all the staff - the people who work in this club - have to protect that image. "That is one of the most important things, the image of the club. We want to carry that forward. And I think the players and all the staff know very well what they have to do. "All the players were there. Ron spoke for the club, for the owner, and the players listened. "It was a private meeting and I don't like to speak about what exactly was said. But, to confirm, the most important thing is that everybody has to pay attention to protect the image of the club." While it is unlikely Chelsea would sack any player found guilty of tarnishing the club's image in future, it is understood that disciplinary action would be harsh and immediate, although no punishments were set out in the meeting. From SkySports. Not surprising at all that the management has had a say. Some of the alleged antics of the players have been shocking to say the least.

As far as I'm concerned it should simply be three in, three out this summer. We don't need massive change, just need to replace some of the older players.

Cech Ivanovic Terry Carvalho Zhirkov Mikel Ballack Malouda Kalou Anelka Drogba What's to worry about?
-
Agree with you there; Malouda's sensational on his day and I'm one of his biggest admirers. I watched him when he was at Lyon when he was incredibly consistent (especially between 2005 and 2007) and when people slated him off when he first arrived at Chelsea I just smiled He's come good over the last 12 months and is playing as well as I've ever seen him.
-
Good, because if you didn't I'd be concerned. As far as I'm concerned, it's 50:50 between the two best teams in the country, United or Chelsea. Its an equal bet in my view. We've got the better squad and players, no doubt, yet somehow, you've managed to keep on our tails. Rooney's been fucking sensational as well. United are as likely to lift the title as we are tbh.
-
Agree with you there. I think last season's kits were great. This year's aren't bad but they're a little bland IMO.
-
I'm sure you were as gutted as the rest of us, David.

Players to sell/allow to leave: Joe Cole - past his best and injury prone. I love Joe Cole but he will simply never recapture his form. He shouldn't be going to the World Cup based on the way he's playing, let alone get a new Chelsea deal. Deco - I've been patient with Deco but he's another player who'd be better off at a club like Everton where he can shine. Still got the goods but with our central midfield, as soon as Essien is back he's stuck on the bench again. Ricardo Carvalho - again, he's seen better days. Had some excellent games this season, but some shockers as well. Very cynical defender. Players to bring in: Winger - Ribery, Schweinsteiger, Ashley Young, di Maria et al have all been linked. Personally I think di Maria would be a superb choice - he's young and has bags of talent and potential. Central Midfielder - James Milner or Jeremy Toulalan of Lyon would be my two ideal choices. Milner's a superb (English) utility player, and Toulalan is probably the best holding player in European football on his day. Both would be pricey - but they are only 24 and 26 respectively. Goalkeeper - not necessarily someone to come in and be first choice, but someone who push Cech, who seems to be on a run of 'one-good-game-followed-by-one-bad-game' at the minute. Even someone like Chris Kirkland; just someone to push him for the number one role like Cudicini did.

It hurts, sure. I can't bring myself to watch the game or any highlights. Thinking about it hurts as well. Although I feel pretty proud of the team; we were fucking sensational in that game and totally deserved to win. The most upsetting thing is that the trophy was this close. That being said, when we win the Champions League, it'll feel a lot less worse.

Got it guv.

Totally agree. I thought we'd really miss Steve Clarke, but he's done an exceptional job as assistant in my opinion.
