  1. At this moment in time, those three players are injured indefinitely, and we need an instant midfield shake-up.
  2. Will always be my inspiration! In my opinion, Cudicini is the greatest signing in Chelsea's history, at £160,000! That's what you call a bargain signing! A true professional and a world class goalkeeper who should be first choice wherever he is. But that's testament to his character, as he is a true professional and a true champion!
  3. You already know me, but welcome anyway pal
  4. All good points, but what do we do if Lampard gets injured again? Field another impotent midfield triumvirate of Essien-Mikel-Ramires? Or field someone who can inject some pace and creativity into the midfield?
  5. Take your proof of purchase/confirmation email as well just in case
  6. Why keep Kakuta over Benayoun? Benayoun's scored more goals
  7. I remain hopeful of this transfer but I honestly can't see it happening until the Summer... nevertheless if we could sign the player on a pre-contract agreement I'd be equally happy.
  8. Can we? Its easy to say we could sign Schweinsteiger or Sneijder, but the fact is we won't. They're too expensive. Yup, even Sky Sports News are reporting it now which suggests there is a good chance of it happening. Let's be fair, Pienaar is going to be sitting on the bench most of the time... so I see no harm in it.
  9. Just been doing a little bit of research and I've just come to the following realisation: Chelsea have won 9 out of 10 matches against Blackburn Rovers that Michael Essien has played in, keeping seven clean sheets in the process. Chelsea 4-2 Blackburn (05/06)Blackburn 0-2 Chelsea (06/07)Blackburn 0-2 Chelsea (06/07) - Carling CupChelsea 3-0 Blackburn (06/07)Chelsea 2-1 Blackburn (06/07) - FA CupChelsea 0-0 Blackburn (07/08)Blackburn 0-1 Chelsea (07/08)Chelsea 2-0 Blackburn (08/09)Chelsea 5-0 Blackburn (09/10)Blackburn 1-2 Chelsea (10/11)
  10. Kalou will score tomorrow, and we all shall love him.
  11. Bloody hell, you don't half fancy yourself. I've always liked Kalou. Okay, so his end product is nowhere near as good as I'd like it to be, but the man tries, which is all I can ask from a Chelsea player.
  12. Arsenal are close to agreeing a £5million deal for Southampton youngster Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Manager Arsene Wenger has moved swiftly to head off interest from Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United in the 17-year-old. 13. Since he is our new defensive midfielder, we might as well let Anelka play them
  14. Well since Patch will be out for the Everton away game, there's no excuse not to start Bertrand imo!
  15. One of the great things here is the laid-back attitude, but that can be mixed with really good discussion too.
  16. Van Aanholt out for three weeks... is that 21 days, or three weeks like Lampard or Zhirkov?
  17. Divided loyalties... how can you manage that? Welcome pal!
  18. Hi all, just a very quick message from me. Over the best part of the last decade, TalkChelsea has grown into one of the biggest and best Chelsea FC fan communities out there. I have been very fortunate to have been involved with the site for such a long time, particularly the last couple of years as a Global Moderator and then Admin on this particular site. I originally joined whilst the site was undergoing its transitional stage as CFC-Fans, and immediately loved the place. I feel we have a fantastic community full of dedicated supporters, young and old, and similarly we have a quota of wonderful members; some of whom have been on here since the start, others, like myself, are relatively new in comparison. I thoroughly enjoy my time discussing one of my passions with you all, and it is genuinely fantastic to be involved. So thank you to every who has helped make this become one of the greatest forums out there - this truly is a great place to be. Our recent activity has also been phenomenal - so keep it up! And more importantly, keep the faith. Best wishes to you all, Alex Hinsley (BlueLion).
  19. Welcome back Cara, nice to see you on here again congrats on the little man on the way as well!
  20. I'd love it if these came back. I'm too young to have experienced the home championships (they finished 9 years before I was born), but my dad remembers how great they were. I'm a staunch patriot and massively proud to be English. I don't think there is anything near national pride left in this country en masse, however, so I think these championships would be great for our national identity. I don't have a tattoo on my arm saying 'Made in England' for nothing, I love this country and I'd love to see us play the Scots and the Irish especially.
  21. As far as I'm concerned, FIFA are an utter farce, and a joke of an organisation. This is just testament to how little football's governing body actually knows about the sport.
  22. I just believe, in my honest opinion, Puyol should be at centre-half (had an IMMENSE season, easily the best centre-back around at the moment), with Ashley Cole at LB.
