I'm pretty sure most footballers wouldn't give a fuck, provided the dollar provided is substantial enough!
-
Aguero's ridiculously over-rated, but that's another argument! When you say "EPL proven", that means in the short- to mid-term. Whilst Cavani is adjusting to London/the English way of life, it will be difficult for him, you would imagine. There would no less of a transition with Rooney.

I don't see why people are slagging off de Laurentiis. He's simply a good businessman. You don't sell your prize asset; and if you do, you sell it for an extortionate fee.
-
Bale at Southampton.Wish we could find the thread on the old CFC-Fans, I was incandescent. I knew he'd make it, I was gutted when he signed for Spurs.
-
I thought Lampard was leaving and that Hazard would have the number 8. Obviously that isn't happening now! But that's one of two reasons why I chose to have Oscar on my shirt for next season - Ossie definitely won't change numbers, and he's also my favourite out-field player at CFC!
-
Come on Wayne, push through with the move. You know it makes sense. Would absolutely LOVE to see him in our shirt next season.
-
We signed Cole from Arsenal and Torres from Liverpool, yet people are against signing someone from Manchester United?
-
This was published on the BBC 23 minutes ago: Key quote: "He added Napoli had "never received a call" from Chelsea about the player, with Uefa's Financial Fair Play regulations cited as a barrier to any deal as the loss-reducing rules are "conditioning everybody" to not spend large sums on transfers."
-
Oh right, I got concerned because you quoted my post and then said "I am surprised some people (you) liked his posts" or something along those lines, I don't think I've liked one of that jerk's posts, ever Anyways, back to Edinson!

What? Me?!

What an absolute juvenile low-life he is, quite pathetic actually. A classless, idiotic homophobe.
-
Yeah you need a card for PayPal. That's the only way I'd be willing to do it, I'm afraid!

Great news. Adidas are the biggest brand around at the moment, making the best quality kits year-in, year-out.

"It's not over fat cunt, not by a long shot". LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

This happens every silly season. People get angry and arguments rage. That's normal, as it is derived from boredom! Discriminatory behaviour isn't normal, though. No place for it here, or anywhere.
-
Absolutely, but: Rooney is more versatile - can play anywhere in the frontline and even in midfield if the situation dictates it.He's English; thus home-grown.Far, far cheaper. EPL-proven. Not so much a big factor when you're talking about someone as good as Cavani, but it can make a different in the short- to mid-term whilst Cavani is settling in.Rooney coming here wouldn't jeopardise Lukaku's place here. Rooney and Lukaku are so ridiculously different as forwards that they could either be rotated, or used in tandem. If Cavani comes here for £50 million +, or whatever the quoted price is, that sort of investment has to be prioritised. That could seriously hamper Lukaku's Chelsea prospects, but also his development.Rooney is the safer option, and would be my preferred signing. You don't just sign the 11 best players, you buy players who compliment the existing squad, and in my view, Rooney would fit our counter-attacking style like a hand in a glove. Unfortunately I just can't see United selling him to us. Shame.

I did. 9th person in two months. 2nd person today. On a fucking role. I'm nothing if not proactive. Back on topic please.

Sky Sports News said Vitesse only want Kakuta on a loan-basis. However, if we do sell him, he have to put in a buy-back option.

In all seriousness, this place is for people to Talk about Chelsea. People posting discriminatory posts are contravening the rights of other members. I quote possibly the best post this forum has ever seen, by Terminator X:
-
The member "mybodyisready" has been banned from the forums. Some of you may recall the member posted some downright offensive comments in the "Unpopular Opinions" thread. I believed those comments were xenophobic, and/or homophobic, and/or sexist, and thus I banned the member for 24 hours and warned him of his future conduct. Despite the aforesaid warning, since returning, the member has done nothing but look to cause arguments, and has continued to post homophobic content in the Edinson Cavani thread. I would like to remind all members we have a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of discrimination, and after reminding the member of this he still proceeded to post such offensive content. I have therefore banned the member permanently, and all members should think twice before posting potentially offensive material. This is a forum for people of all ages, races, religions, creeds and sexual orientations - both male and female - and I will not stand for their rights being violated by narrow-minded morons. Alex.

Really, really unsure about this. We already have £75 million of strikers at this club - do we really need to blow another £50 million? Cavani is world-class but he will take time to settle. Then all the pressure will increase - unless he hits the ground running and hits 30 goals in his first season. We could be looking at Shevchenko/Torres all over again. I think we really should be looking at blooding Lukaku. He was an £18 million investment - you can't leave that amount of youthful talent on the bench!
-
Isn't it illegal? Do you have PayPal? If you do I can buy it to you and have it shipped to you, and you can pay me over PP.

Makes 19 trophies in 17 seasons even more satisfying, doesn't it?
