Krasic is a RIGHT sided winger. He would allow us to play Danny in the centre, where he belongs but he hasnt done a bad job out there. Basically Krasic would give us options we dont currently have. Loan or on the cheap would be good. He's had only one bad season where the team isnt playing the same formation that won him rave reviews in his first season. Theres every chance he could be good for us

Plus the Drog is such a huge presence at the club, I bet Torres will relax when he's not there. Theres no doubt that the Drogs nose was put out of joint when Torres was signed. Theres only room for one hugely expensive striker at a our club! I've been more impressed with Torres attitude under all the media flak than I have he's performances on the pitch, but still hold out hope he will come good. Hell, I'd settle for 10 goals a season, dont think he will ever reach 20! Where is that striker that scored that fab goal against us the season we signed him?? Hulk - just dont know, it will be an expensive experiment thats for sure

Quote http://www.mtnfootball.com/international/fifa-u-20-world-cup/players/nigeria/kenneth-omeruo.html A classy central defender who along with former skipper Fortune Chukwudi held firm in the heart of the back four as the Golden Eaglets marched all the way to the final of the U17 World Cup two years ago. He is tactically disciplined, has great anticipation and he is cool under pressure. He missed the AYC as he opted to get a contract in Europe. He has a junior contract at Standard Liege of Belgium and will most likely be offered a pro deal in October when he turns 18.

In January 2012, Kenneth joined Chelsea and was immediately loaned to ADO Den Haag in the Dutch Eredivisie until the end of the 2012-13 season. A centre-back by trade, he was immediately used at right-back and with great effect, as he make a regular impact with his athleticism and work rate coming to the fore. He scored his first goal in April 2012 against Groningen. The 2012-13 season was again spent in Den Haag, where he picked up more valuable experience in Europe's premier development league. After impressing at the African Nations Cup for Nigeria, he was moved from his regular spot at right-back to earn more consideration as a central defender. Nigeria's success at the African Nations meant they qualified for the Confederations Cup in Brazil in the summer of 2013, and once again Kenneth was a regular at the heart of the defence. He returned to Chelsea for pre-season but underwent shoulder surgery which kept him out until mid-October. Upon his return, he trained and played with the Under-21 squad until Christmas. On 7 January 2014, Omeruo joined Middlesbrough on loan until the end of the 2013–14 season. Click here to view the record

Only if we go back to lumping the ball forward to the big centre forward! This is not the way AVB wants to play - he wants pass and move, pass, pass, pass, but quickly That would suit Torres
-
Ivan has often stated he doesnt like playing there, plus he's not blessed with speed. We need someone for the future, even if its not Cesar. Look what happens when Ivan gets injured!
-
How on earth is a decent right back not needed? Have you seen how many goals we have lost from that position? Bose and Ferreira are long past it, Ivan (When fit) does ok but its not his natural position and his crossing and forward play aint great, plus he's one of best CB's You build a team from the back - thats how Mourinho did it. He bought Cav and Ferreira with him There are gaping holes all over our squad, but none more so than right back
-
You need to watch more european football! This guy is an immense talent and I'd live us to snap him up for 12 million, because he will be worth 25 milliion in the future. He's the sort of guy I was hoping AVB would scout, young talented and kinda below the radar He can actually defend as well as cross the ball! I know Ivan can play there but hes not a natural RB and we havent had a good RB since, oh, Super Dan or Chappie?? Pls pls make this happen! Believe me, this is the type of player chelsea needs to signing! And yes we have needed a right back for some time - look how many goals we have conceded from that area!
-
Agree with all that, but who's job was it to pick up the 2 wolves players that forced a great save from Cech? Hopefully Luiz will grow into a good defender and not just a good ball playing player Ramires - still on the fence for me - needs to do finish better with the chances he creates himself Romeu and Mata are the template alright. Need some decent wingers as both Mata and Danny like to drift inside and a creative midfielder for when Mata gets injured Meireles is doing an ok job, but the reality is he isnt really top top draw. This is Mata's first season - he's going to be frightening good in years to come and the closet thing to Zola we have had in a long long time
-
Yep but Wolves were poor for a Wolves team Just dont mention how much like the wigan game this was - loads of possession, plenty of chances. Difference was we actually took 2 of them Just dont mention how 2 wolves players both got unmarked headers in at the end!
-
errr havent we lead 1-0 before only to throw it away - celebrate AFTER the final whistle goes lads
-
I think he means that these are only realistic this transfer window. No value in the market, cup tied etc (Not that CL cup tied should matter, we need players to push us up the league, never mind CL) In summer we need a big changes, but if you go out and buy 10 players now, that would be somewhat unsettling!
-
Needed a new RB for a long time, havent had a good one since Dan P or Chappie?? Even Mario was better than Bose Arhhh Chappie - now there was a player!

Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

Are all you anti AVB haters INSANE? Which club was the first club to have beaten Citeah? Did ANY club from Manchester qualify for the CL knockout stages? Did Utd just get beat by the bottom club with the experienced Fergie leaving out Rooney and 2 others because they had a meal in a restaurant? Did Citeah, also get beat by a little club whilst their manager "rested" expensive players for a "bigger" game Fergie took 3 seasons or was it 4 to win something? AVB has made a couple of good signings, Mata, Romeu, gave Danny a chance when Carlo insisted on playing out of form or still ill strikers So he's made a few mistakes, but JT was a fault for the villa 2nd goal, causing the confusion that dragged Luiz out of position and the gaping hole that villa walked through. Cech has been at fault for 2 late equalisers We also made plenty of chances against Villa and was basically unlucky So come on, the guys trying, the league is pretty close and about 8 teams could finish top four at this moment We needed rebuilding, Carlo wasnt going to do it, he like the old ones plus he sucked up way too much to Roman -
Not really, it takes heck of a long time and a lot of luck. Man U have never been able to repeat the likes of Beckham, Scholes etc, and Barca only recently got a few through. Basically you have to kiss a lot of frogs! Some kids just dont develop physically or mentally Looking at our lot we have a few that could really make it Chalobah, Josh, Bertie, Nathan Ake, the two Cliffords (Conor and Billy), Jamal Blackman, Baker as well as the bought in ones
-
Yep, just what we need - another expensive striker - it must be January again or we are not doing so well! We should have enough with Torres and Danny, thats 55 million of talent. We need a creative midfielder, a right back who can defend and cross and a left winger so Mata can go central Feed Torres and he will score. Get Higuain and its the same old problems
-
Do we need to? We snatched Mata from under Arsenals nose. AVB seems to have a good scouting network, re Romeu etc. Citeh cant buy all the players, look at Nasri - bit part player now. If they want to go to City to get money to sit on the bench, then good riddance I say, wouldnt want them. Remember Romeu will feed back to all the Barca youngsters that cant get a game how good the Chelsea set up is and they will come to us! Plus the FFP rules will affect City more than us. Now come on - a little positivity please - remember they said the same about us and it wasnt true. You dont have to buy players to win things - look at Man U. We are due a bumper crop of young uns just like Man U and Barca had. Doesnt happen often, but when it does they can form the basis of a winning team for years to come
-
Well I kind of see the point of Cahill, but we are Chelsea so why are we bothering with "they'll do" players? Hopefully AVB will be around long enough so we can actually implement some kind of , dare I say it, PLAN?!!! And this sort of kneejerk reaction wont happen again Shame AVB couldnt have assessed the squad a bit quicker and the board didnt waste so much time and energy chasing Modric. I would have thought it was blinding obvious we needed a decent right back for example. And why couldnt AVB see that Alex wasnt his kind of player back in July/August?
-
So we are buying Cahill untill the summer when we will buy a "real" CB, especially as JT wont be first choice next year. Cahill must feel wonderful about that! The kids might be 17, but Sam is 22 and realy dont see why you cant have him sitting on the bench instead of Cahill. I repeat, if Cahill wasnt cheap, english and available, would Chelsea go near him? I think the answer is no and its not the right policy just to get someone in on a kneejerk, I thought with AVB we are finally thinking long term. So say Cahill is a bench warmer for 4 years until Chalobah is 21? No that wont happen, JT will be replaced with some foreign world class youth, Cahill stays and the likes of Chalobah eventually get loaned out until they leave Can no one else see this?
-
Cahill? Seriously? Seems we are only getting him because he is cheap and available. Oh and english If he was double the price (normal for english) and this was summer I doubt we would go near him with a barge pole. Chalobah is already way more talented than him. Now he has to watch as a much less talented player gets in his way. If Cahill is going to be backup to Terry and Luiz, why cant Chalobah be? When are we going to give our youth a proper chance? I despair - I mean Cahill - come on! Poor mans JT at best Chalobah the future of england will no doubt leave now And to make it worse, we give them Josh? Who is better than Josh in that position? Again we play the old players instead of youth We should be starting Josh, not Lamps Fergie would give them a chance, especially against Fulham etc. Seriously, our youth has no chance, unless they were nicked from Barca or we paid silly money for them Obviously the pressure has got to AVB and he has abandoned his principles. Like all the others, now we play Mourinhos 4-3-3 with much the same players I despair!
-
"In talks", hopefully means they asked, and we said no. Lukaku will probably stay until at least January, and then possibly loan out IF our existing strikers are doing good enough But for now, no way - he looks hungry and up for it and a real threat. Hell, we can play him through the middle, Mata on the left, Danny on the right, drop Torres and that would give defenses something to think about Oh and the arse can feck off Malouda as well, we still need him
