Gotta agree with the Skipper here tbh, José's 4-3-3 was spot on but there was no reason to sub both Hazard and Willian and especially a striker for a CB. That's just throwing the towel, while I felt we had several decent chances to get a goal. In the end it worked but what if those 2 great chances for Giroud went in and we lose 2-0?

I wouldn't worry about that, he got portrayed as a bit of a mercenary cunt, but he's the complete opposite. The myth he wants to join Madrid is just a blown out of proportion quote from his Lille days when he got asked what his dreamclub would be, combined with Zidane's continuous praise. He's here and I don't see no reason for him wanting to go.

Willian could've set him through on goal 1on1 twice, would your assesment have been different then if he'd scored? I suspect you love him and want him to be great but I think you're gonna have to tone down your expectations a bit, and take our system and his instructions in mind. Great players play great because they get supported by great players (with the exception of some football freaks). Individual performances are hard to pull off in a system that is built around defending. There's a reason Mata has been rather poor when he gets a chance. I don't blame it on form. There's a reason Hazard plays better when he can combine with Mata as well, but this hampers our defense (or what Mourinho expects from our defense). He's no Ronaldo, I doubt he'll ever be as good or even close, but he's still a player most teams would want in a heartbeat. Just enjoy what we have, he's only 22 yo and with some proper singings I'm sure he will raise his level further.

Yea, because Mou's pessimistic tactics have no influence on their game at all.. Mata struggles as much as our other technical players. He could've caused some damage today though admittedly, huge spaces at times between attack/defence.

Grow a pair José.. Hazard and Willian were doing fine defensively, no reason to kill our attack like that
