  1. http://dai.ly/K4ogIK Reporters starts by saying 'there is nothing to play for in this game' => Lille could not be champions anymore... and 3rd place was already sure. Eden joins him and says: Nothing to play for? Wait a minute... this is my final game, hope for a good game and a victory! Reporter: do you think things will get emotional tonight? Eden: Yes of course. Especially for myself but also a little bit for everyone here tonight because a page will be turned after this game => Lille will play in a new stadium next season and therefor this will not only be my last game but also the last game in this stadium. And will all the great moments we have lived here in this stadium... yes I think emotions will get the upper hand strongly at the end of the game. Reporter: Do you think there will be something prepared especially for you tonight? (since this was his final game at Lille) Eden: (shy) I don't know... we will see. I'm not that easily surprised... but we will see what happens (shy laughter). Voiceover: Another trophy for Eden, this time he's awarded best player of April! Eden who is loved by everyone is also elected back to back trophies of player of the year at the Ligue 1 and is going to give it all in his final game in France! What will the defenders of the opposition (Nancy) think of this. Reporter: Will you try to trip him over tonight? (like tackle him to stop him) Nancy defender: (Laughing) No no... I don't think that's possible... a lot have tried before this season. Voiceover: Objective is to play a good game to honor the stadium, the fans and of course Eden Hazard. Lille President: We will try to have fun tonight. Because that is the most important. Reporter: Did you prepare something special tonight? Mavuba (captian of Lille): For Eden? Reporter: For Eden, for the stadium... Mavuba: For the stadium we hope for the win. For Eden... yes there is a surprise (laughs). I will not be captian tonight. Voiceover: The first surprise is there: Eden Hazard will be the captian for tonights game. Then commentator (with a rather gay voice) takes over : already after 10 minutes reason to celebrate... Joe Cole launches Hazard: (gay sound) Come on EDEN... YOU HAVE TO SCORE EDEN... YESSSSS GOALLLLLL FOR EDEN HAZARD! HIS 18TH OF THE SEASON then amazing action by Dimitri Payet: Hazard is an artist... but Payet as well. again goal celebration like 'the village people' would do it . moments later the second goal of Eden! More or less the same goals as the first one. Voice over: Eden has done everything at Lille in the past years... everything except for a hattrick. Penalty... perfect moment for the Belgian to get his 1st hattrick for Lille. Like always he remais very calm from the spot and he scores his first hattrick of his career. Half Time interview with Eden: Yes we are having fun... it's going well. We wanted to play well and to shine in this last game... and even though it's only half time... I think we are succeeding at the moment and the fans and players are having a good time. Let's hope to continue like this in the second half. Voiceover: Unfortunately the second half is less spectacular... but more a moment to celebrate the players that will leave. First Joe Cole... a great player! Then the time has come to celebrate Hazard. Commentators: Now the time has come to say goodbye to Eden Hazard. Enjoy this moment... enjoy, enjoy! Take your time to go off the pitch and enjoy your moment. After all the great moments you have given to the Lille fans, to the club, to the city of Lille, to French socces in general, the time has now come to play in another League. Well done kid... and good luck!! => cheering and standing ovation by the crowd. After game (that ended 4-1) players form a circle around Hazard to say goodbye. At the age of 21 he has scored 36 goals and has gives 33 assists... he ends with the title of most assists in the Ligue 1 this year and he receives ANOTHER award. An AMAZING talent who will now explore new horizons. Mavuba (captian): He a great player and I'm very happy for him now. It's logical he will leave now to play on a higher level. I'm very happy he can celebrate tonight with his brother and little kid. Joe Cole (with a VERY VERY funny/bad french accent): Amazing technique, Great GREAT player. Rudi Garcia (manager Lille): It's the best final game we could have given to the fans. Great game by us and one of the greatest talents ever, Eden Hazard. We will miss him A LOT. That's for sure. Eden Hazard: (to his kid) Do you want to talk? blablablabla (baby talk) No (laughs). Yes I'm am emotional. This is heartwarming, all stadium that are shouting your name, this feels good. Reporter: What do you want to say to your fans as a final word? Eden Hazard: I will be forever with them... Lille will forever be the club of my heart. Voice over: The goodbye of the stadium, the fans, his teammates and the staff was at same level of this young Belgian guy... Very high! Ciao to the artist and good luck!! Last words of Eden to the fans: What I've become is certainly also thanks to the support of all of you guys and especially also thanks to my team. So please can I hear a very loud and warm applause for my teammates please. Voice over: Lille football club, His team end this season on the 3rd place and qualifies to play in the Champions League in the new stadium next year. Pfffff what a work ! Hope you guys can do something with the translation. Make sure to remind some of the french words... for ze Ladiesss !! And now I'm off to Tarifa for some surfing! I'm in spain for a short week of holidays! Well deserved after all this translation work !
  2. Haha ! Ok I will give it a shot for a short translation of the video. Give me a minute or 3
  3. I can only say... Media were hyping this kid a lot! Reports of his wages, demands,... are surely created by journalists who wanted a spicy story and maybe by some things his manager said (never Eden himself). "Someone who disrupt the dressing room": watch this movie about his final match. He WAS the star of the dressing room there. Seems to me that he was very loved by all of his teammates! http://dai.ly/K4ogIK "Abandoning his team": He was playing at Lille since 2007. Even when a lot of big clubs were offering him great contracts (every transfer period more and more)... he stayed at the 'little' club to play European football with them. He said he would leave after this season but gave it all untill the final game (with a hattrick!). Which made him a man of his word and very loved by anyone who has something to do with Lille football club. You can clearly see in this video everyone is allowing/granting him his move to a big club. This will not happen when you are known as the selfish, arrogant, 'star' of the dressing room. Believe me... this kid is very likeable and a man of his word. If we miss out on him... our club really misses out an amazing talent . by the way: I wasn't really directing myself towards you Mr Sloth . I've read all this stupid things about Hazard being selfish, arrogant, mercenary... etc. when City came to the story. But the a few days later we were back in the race offering him even more than City (or so was said by crappy references) and suddenly United was laughed at because they had less money... I mean ... hypocritism at its best .
  4. Belgian media reporting: The fact Eden didn't reveil his choice last sunday (as announced) was against his own will. Apparently he himself has made his choice to play for Manchester United already a long time ago but since his manager is still negotiating with Chelsea & City, he was forced to wait to announce his decision. Eden has chosen for the sportive project instead of the € £ $! He will soon put his signature on a 5 year long contract. Wondering what all the hypocrites that where yelling he is arrogant and only interested in cash will say now?! Hypocrites because they said he was a mercenary (his choice for city) ... but few days later were laughing away United interest because we could offer him more money!! If the report above is true I will be very sad we were not able to attract one of Europe's brightest talents to the bridge!!!
  5. http://dai.ly/K4ogIK I think this video is a good summarize of what I've been reading here the last few days! This video shows it all: arrogant mercenary selfish no love for the club only playing for the prices absolutely no fan favorite no respect from his teammates no respect from his coach, president, ... (of course not.. such an arrogant pr*ck) ... NOT I'm afraid I have to tell you that Eden is nothing of all above. I noticed he became arrogant and a mercenary from the moment other clubs seemed to be winning the race for his signature! That's in one way understandable... but also very stupid and childish ! Pretty sure that Hazard will be the next BIG thing in nowadays football. As long as we have a chance to get him in... I think every football fan here on the TC forum should pray to have such a great player in OUR team and not at City or United!! KTBFFH :blue scalf: ps: translation for the video on request
  6. The thing that strikes me the most is that Romelu is really known for being a model professional! If even he starts complaining that hard... it seems that AVB really gave him a hard time in the beginning of the season. For me it's simple... AVB never wanted to attract Lukaku => did not need him => did not fit into his plans. This was a decision by the board for the future. At itself not a problem because AVB was the manager (and the manager is the boss as it comes to line ups) BUT because of the difference in opinion with the board.. he's to blame for the fact that an amazing talent like Lukaku lost a whole year in his development! A real shame!!!
  7. With Drogba leaving, he might have more game time next season... But then still... probably Falcao (or another top striker) will be attracted => more bench time for Romelu. So he really should go out on a loan... Staying in London and going to Fulham would be perfect IMO. Lukaku really is an AMAZING talent (trust me I've been following him for the last 5 years now). If he just get's more chances to play... he will convince everyone (even the haters!! ). Imagine in his last game he was 'man of the match' without even scoring (his trademark). If he keeps playing games like this and when he starts scoring goals... => fan favorite in no time !! Especially since he is a Chelsea fan himself
  8. Uhm... I don't think the praise for Fellaini is based on his performance against ManU... Unless of course you talk about the 'experts' who only quote players on goals and assists. Needles to say to you that Fellaini actually proved himself by being the leagues best ball recuperator! 190 times he took the ball away of his opponents, leaving the opposition far behind him. Also he wins almost every header, etc... I don't know... He doesn't score the beauty goals or gives the most assists... but in terms of being useful for the team: Fellaini = YES PLEASE!!! Talk to some toffees !
  9. Seems like it's sure now that he stays at AM next season! I like his sobriety. Indeed he is young and he needs to play. He won the Europa League and played a perfect season. Maybe would've prefered to see him in the EPL... but I can understand that he feels great in Madrid (certainly after winning the cup)! The only worry I have... If he has another season like this, chances are he will never get back to London.
  10. When Hazard would go from Lille to us (chelsea) => Lille fans would say: he's going for the money. Now he goes to City => Us Chelsea fans tend to say: he's going for the money When Anelka goes to China => he's going for the money Any player that goes to the middle east => going for the money . Luckily we can always blame the money for missing out on big transfers! But ironically... Chelsea fans should actually never use this... . OT now. As a chelsea fan, I'm really dissapointed that Eden does not come to the Bridge. As a fellow countrymen... I'm happy Eden will finally take his chance to shine at top level. Him going to city and not us, in my opinion, we have to blame our manager and board. Hazard has always said he wanted to go to a club where he could play (even tottenham were in the race ). So with a good offer and convincing talks... we would ALWAYS had a chance to get him. The fact we failed on him does not give credit to our board! I'm pretty sure Mancini was very convincing in his plans with Eden next season AND most of all Kompany will have played a HUGE role in this transfer (as the captain and leader of our national squad)! I was really hoping Eden would not have Lukaku's cell phones numbers... But unfortunately I think Romelu had the chance to tell Eden how nice Cobham looks like . I know a lot of you are now hoping he will stay glued on the bench or will fail in the EPL. That's not so fair to someone we were cheering at for so many months. I wish him all the best at City and I'm sure he will show his brilliance in a lot of games (hopefully not against us ). On the up side... another great player in the EPL is better than one in the French league of whom you only hear stories about... and not see in action yourself! And who knows... maybe someday a transfer to the bridge (that will be 1/4 belgian at that time) is still possible !!! KTBFHH
  11. First the good news: After Jan Vertonghen (The Netherlands), Kevin Mirallas (Greece) , Vincent Kompany (EPL), De Bruyne (2nd in Belgian League), Eden Hazard is awarded back to back titles of best player in the French League 1. Now the bad new: And I'm afraid I have to spoil the party once again. Belgian media are reporting he just said he will be playing in Manchester next season. City it will be in my opinion.
  12. I wouldn't mind. It will increase the chances for our national squad to become World Champions in Brazil '14 A LOT! And believe me... if this team will play together every single week... they would bring sort of the most attractive attacking football ever (with a defensive wall (Kompany, Boyata, Vermalen(?) and Courtous to pick up the little errors up front )!! sounds like a plan!
  13. The 'T' at the end is indeed silent. So "Thee-Bo Cour-Twa" (stress on the final syllable) would sound perfect !!! Also don't use Court (like in basketball court) ... but pronounce the C and then the 'ou' like in 'you' (without the J sound so only use the 'ou'). Good luck guys! You'll be chanting his name (hopefully pronounced correctly) a LOT in about two seasons !!!
  14. And while we are investing... we might take Kompany as well
  15. Actually that wouldn't even be a bad idea after all ! A lot of talents... the fact some are playing at the bridge will be very important to bring others + in the past it's been proven that a lot of players from te same nationality bring good results + is great for the teamspirit!! I would go for Hazard, Fellaini, Witsel & Mertens... together with Courtois, De Bruyne & Lukaku a great belgian team .
  16. And then you even forget Fellaini, Dembele (Fulham), Mignolet (Sunderland GK), Chadli (probably Fulham next season), Naingollan (probably Juventus next season) Defour (FC Porto), Van Buyten (Bayern Munich) and Mirallas (Olympiakos & top striker + voted best player in the Greece competition) Our team is very young but amazingly talented. I think the Euros unfortunately came a little bit too soon for them. They play the most attractive football but are lacking to get results (so far)! A lot of big transfers are coming up this Summer so I predict you can put your money (not all of it ) on the Belgian squad as an outsider to win the 2014 Brazil World Cup!
  17. This must be the biggest b*llsh*it I have ever read about Eden Hazard . How on earth would you start calling him arrogant and mercenary? Facts: He is one of europe's biggest talents He got linked with numberous clubs during the last 2-3 years He became champions with Lille, a team that normally never is playing for trophies HE STAYS at Lille for another year eventhough Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, ... are chasing him past summer He himself never said anything about transfers.... the only thing he ever said was he will play in the EPL next season Recently he also said he likes the colour red (shirt of Lille) but next season he will probably wear blue (Chelsea, Man City?) So plays STOP calling him arrogant or a mercenary!!! That simply shows you know nothing about him! He maybe is the biggest talent in Europe and he plays already 4 seasons at a 'small' club in France (every single game playing at the fullest!!!!) with all the top teams begging him to join them! If he chooses to join Man City, money will not be the decesive factor: Kompany & Mancini's (or the boards) talks will be!
  18. Here is a video I particularly like about both Chelsea's prospects Eden Hazard & Axel Witsel (a player where probably a lot of you guys are not yet familiar with). Here in the game against the USA a few months ago. The video shows you how talented both players are + how attractive the whole belgian national squad is playing these days... Unfortunately often still lacking result (which made we are not at the EC in Poland & Ukraine). You can see us dominating the whole game... but only scoring once ! Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVG6TsPtawM&feature=related

  20. Personally I only see one big reason for him to go to city: Vincent Kompany! Do not underestimate the power of the captian of our national squad on younger players like Hazard. Not only is he a fantastic player... he also is a very nice person and a true leader for the young belgian players at the moment. Hazard had always claimed he would only go to a club where he would play (he was the key player for 4 years...) cannot think of him sitting on a bench and waisting his time. So OR Kompany & Mancini had good news for him ... OR there still is a small chance he would come to the Bridge !!
  21. I was talking in League numbers indeed. I think your website needs an update => http://soccernet.espn.go.com/stats/assists/_/league/fra.1/french-ligue-1?cc=5739 => 16 assists!
  22. Cheers mate! Doing my best Although from time to time I'm so dissapointed in some "fans" reactions (like today's reaction on Lukaku's miss... really blows me) that it holds me back from making an effort in doing all the research and share it. But don't worry... I will still remain one of Talkchelsea's best scouts for belgian players !
  23. Well being the best player in the french league twice on a row (last year the best player overall, 2 years ago he was the best young player) and being nominated for the 3rd time (together with 4 other players)... I think we can see he easily rules the French competition. He had a big role in last years championship of Lille (a club that normally not plays for trophies if I'm not mistaken). This year he proved his talent again by scoring 17 goals and giving 16 assists (which makes him the 2nd best assist giver in whole of europe, together with Messi!!). The only player with more assists is Özil. Eden has this rare talent to be able to decide a game completely on his own and on almost any moment in a game... He also has the quality to play amazingly good almost every single game. Knowing that he is Europe's most tackled player (3,6 tackles/game on average) and that he was able to play in 106 consecutive games for Lille almost make him a miracle man ! So yes, he truly is special!! AND he announced he will play in Blue next season... unfortunately I'm afraid it will be sky blue...
  24. At age 19 (he turns 20 this friday) Thibaut will already have played a European Cup Final! Being massively important in last years title for Genk with crucial saves in the title match... and now this! One can only dream about the amount of experience and pressure handling this young lad already has on his resume! An absolute world class GK will take over Petr's Brick Wall at he bridge and will put a few extra layers himself. I think as a chelsea fan we can wish of nothing better than this for our GK spot. The future looks bright for us blues fans :cfc: !!! Now all support for Thibaut on Wednesday to be the first Chelsea player to hold a european cup... the others will follow next week :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  25. Bad news going around in Belgium media: Hazard was seen house-hunting in Manchester after the derby game last week. I'm afraid we will have to put away our dreams of him playing at the Bridge We should have played Lukaku more!!! I'm pretty sure this had a bad influence on Eden's decision.
