You know Fellaini is just the type of guy... You get really angry with the central defenders on your team because they're having a really bad game and nothing is going well! Seriously... the amount of defensive work this guys does in midfield is just massive. With a player like him in their back... Hazard, Mata, Ramires, KDB easily can lift their game to a higher level. "No worries... the big guy covers your back!" But I understand this is something mostly seen by scouts and managers... not so much by the normal football fans.

Not a great tackler: Fellaini was this seasons EPL best tackler with 82 tackles won... leaving Moussa Dembele, Joe Allen, Scot Parker, Lucas Leiva, Yohan Cabaye & Cheik Tioté behind him. Not a great passer: He completed 1231 out of 1500 => percentage of 79,4%. Considering the fact that Moyes has used him in a variety of positions... I say: good job! Not a good header: He won more that 88,3% of his aerial duels this season... far more than ANY CB in the league. Eden will 'dance' around the defenders like he have always done . Just take a look at some youtube clips to see it yourself... those French defenders also tried everything to stop him!

I would say he can be seen as a rather shy guy actually. You never see him in public occasions or interviews acting like he owns the place. Of course he knows he can play soccer. You must imagine how you would be when from the age of 4 you could decide almost every single game on your own (even in Ligue 1 this could happen). So of course he's confident about his football capabilities... IMO something every great sportsman has to have: confidence! Unfortunately sometimes he also tends to wear the Gucci & Armani... (like almost all socces stars at the moment). And I must say I was very dissapointed when he showed up with a mohawk some months ago... Let's call it a youthful sin . But living in these conditions every day (being hyped etc.) I guess these things comes easier. On the other hand I don't think he drove in a Ferrari or Lamborghini. I think he even just had a Peugeot 206 at Lille . Also I remember when he just came to play in the first team at Lille... He had to wear training suits after the game... instead of a costume like all the 'regular first team' players were wearing... But he didn't made much of it. You know he's belgian... we are a humble nation ! So you have so pro's and con's about his character. But he really ain't nothing like the Arrogant prick he was called until just minutes before his announcement to join us (hmmmm that suddenly stopped... I wonder why )! He's a normal Belgian boy that is really talented and has it all to become one of football legends in the near future. The thing I like the most about him and that also tells a lot about his character on the pitch: Hazard has 160 offical appearances so far in which he only took 16 yellow cards!! Knowing he's been Europe's most fauled on player... this tells a lot about his mentality and composure on the pitch! Nothing like 90 minutes of complaining every time you get of push or something doesn't go well like CR7... but keeping his cool and continuing his own game and let the opposition take the cards... reminds you of someone? That's right... Lionel Messi !!

It needs not to be said that I don't 'like' us losing games... that's rather logical. But to be honest... If it wouldn't have been for the European Cup Final... I would have been deeply ashamed of our team's performance that night in Munich. Of course I was over the moon with the cup... but please... no more games like that!! We are f*cking Chelsea FC! We don't need to see a German team dominating us for 120 minutes... with us barely coming on their side of the pitch. Goal attemps 35 vs. 9, corner kicks 20 vs. 1(!)!!!!! It is quickly forgotten when you win the Champions League AND (even more importantly) when you can steal a match from the germans . But next season I want us to dominate is almost every game!! AVB & sexy football?? I haven't seen sexy football at all this season.

I rather lose a game with 2-3 .... then have another run of BORING 1-1 games like we had plenty of last season !! OK I would like to stop the whole BS about Hazard 'claiming' the number 10 and CAM position. I hope that everyone reads this so we can stop the about this topic for once and for all . Eden and nr. 10: As a young boy... Eden always admired Zidane, who played with nr. 10. So the Kid Eden Hazard always favoured nr. 10 on his jersey. Both on the national team as with his club Lille... he was playing with another number (it's only recently that he got his 10 at both teams). At Lille he played for 3 years I think with nr. 26... at the belgian national team he played with a lot of numbers... 7, 11, etc. So the whole nr. 10 story is only based on the question "what would be your favourite number if you can choose?" I think that almost every single player out there has a favourite number. Eden and the CAM position: Let's start by saying... his favourite position is... actually NO POSITION at all! He loves to be given the free role, where he fills up the gaps and looks for his own space. If you take a look at some youtube clips with Hazards games... You will notice he is absolutely everywhere on the pitch. So far the explanation of his favourite position when he can choose himself! Coaches however tend to assign positions to most of his players, dont they ? So Eden is dropped frequently on both wings, CAM, or even as a striker. And you know what? Hazard just played on this positions without complaining... why? Because he does what he's said to do!! Hmmm strange... I thought he was SO egocentric that he claims a position... NO! But does he have a favourite position of he can choose himself? Yes... the free role behind the strikers! Nothing more... nothing less. Why isn't he on CAM in the Belgian National squada Well actually the last games he is. But the previous coach has chosen to play him on both wings or with a free role. Is he a good winger? Yes he's absolutely a world class winger! But you know what? He's even better in a free role behind the strikers... which matches (more or less) with a starting position as a CAM. Conclusion: Will he claim to be played on the CAM? Of course NOT! He will do what he's been asked to do. Will he like it better to play in his free role, like he's been playing at his club Lille now for the moment? Yes! Will he hate Mata because he plays on the CAM? NO.. because Hazard can easily play together with him as a creative tandem behind the strikers! Would it be better that everyone stops about his claim for nr. 10 and CAM position? YES please

Must say... once again proven in the international friendly against Montenegro last night, the amount of ball recuperations, successful tackles, headers won, etc. by Fellaini is really astonishing!! To have a guy like him playing in CM or just in front of the defense makes your midfield sooo strong! Not to mention the half marathon he runs every single game. With a guy like Fellaini behind them... players like Mata, Ramires, Hazard, Hulk, and all other AM ... have such a luxurious position, knowing a lot of ball recuperations will put them straight back in attack mode after a loss of the ball! I know he hasn't got the fanciest style of playing... but this game is of massive importance for the team. Mikel & Essien will surely not be playing forever at Chelsea... my advice on Fellaini: Buy buy buy!! If you can get Witsel next to him... you have a serious extra defensive block in midfield with great attacking options & perfect balance in technique & hard work.
