  1. I'd start it with his assist in his debut against Utd. His goal against Hull from that impossible angle in the opening match of the 09-10 season hasn't been mentioned either.
  2. I know what you mean, but I'd rather him over the inexperienced Pep.
  3. Probably. I don't think Pep will come here any time soon.
  4. This is only being delayed to try and minimize the fans' fury when someone else is appointed.
  5. I completely disagree. First, I'm as happy about the Hazard signing as any other Chelsea fan, but we are yet to see how good he really is. Just because he was excellent at Lille does not mean that he will replicate this form here. As for Mata, whenever he was deployed on the left, he ended up playing a more central position leaving the opposition RB to roam as he wishes. On the counter, Mata on the left always passes back because he does not have the pace to beat any fullback.
  6. Great! Would absolutely love to play you guys again
  7. Whom would you play him instead? Statistics, especially in passing, account for absolutely nothing. When I say he cannot pass, I mean he does not have the vision or ability to pick out a pass that will stretch any defense. He has a high percentage because he most often attempts 5m-10m easy passes, while Lamps tries to make every pass count and gives us the option of playing accurate long balls. People say that Robbie turned our season around, but it was also the partnership between Lamps and Mikel that was key to winning the double. As for the defensive part, I have no doubt that one on one Ramires is the better defender, but Lamps reads the game much better so his defensive positioning gives him a huge advantage. Those tackles Rambo made actually tell me that he is often late and has to resort to tackling. Honestly I would much rather have Ramires rotate with the wingers while Josh Raul (realistically) rotate in the CM position.
  8. It's a good thing for us. He'll get to rest that hamstring.
  9. 6-0 win and top of the league I did not see this coming!
  10. Essien is long gone mate. He will probable be sold/let go in the summer. And I don't see Ramires playing a central role in 4-2-3-1 because he can't pass for his life. Mata on the wing has proven to be disastrous, especially defensively. He simple does not have the pace to play on the wing. So what I would expect if we sign Hulk is: Lampard-Mikel Hulk-Mata-Hazard Torres
  11. Definitely agree about the Sturidge bit; in my eyes, he has done much more to deserve that CF spot than Torres. I'm not saying to play it against Arsenal, but against teams who park the bus at the bridge I sure Mikel and the back four will be okay versus a lone striker. As I said it could be a good plan B to try if we want a goal in the last 20 mins or so of the match.
  12. It's only normal when our next match is 50 days away. I hope this place gets back to life during the Euros.
  13. You can't play Ramires in the center alongside a defensive midfielder because neither can create. Ramires can't link-up between the defense and attack because his passing is shocking. Unless we play 4-3-3 I don't want to see Ramires in the center. Moving back on topic, when will we know what number was he given?
  14. Definitely agree, we can't start with that. But it's actually not a bad shot if are ever chacing a game. But it woud probably be more like: Mikel Hulk-Mata-Hazard-Marin Torres
  15. I am really excited about Marco. He has the skills and the pressure on him is minimal. I have a feeling he will be a great success here.
  16. We can't send him to Fulham, they'll sit him on the bench just to piss us off. Everton would be a good choice, or maybe Sunderland.
  17. I just read that Anelka wants to be back in the PL. He is rumored to join Westham, Tottenham, or QPR Really hope it's not true.
  18. ^^ Hope you feel better soon. Tomorrow is my last day at the university. I am feeling a bit sad but a whole lot anxious.
  19. Honestly I can understand both view point and I think, although both are right and make good points, I think both the Moderators and the members complaining are exaggerating a bit. The staff here are doing an incredible job and deserve all te praise in the world. What they have done here has made this forum the best I have ever seen and for that they should be appreciated by all. I understand that the rules they make are vital for the success of the site, but I do feel that they might have come off a bit too strong regarding the last issue. I have no doubt that SHM deserved the ban he got, but the announcement that BL made in the "Clean Slate" thread saying that thread derailment can cause warnings and eventually a ban is very scary for us members because thread derailment is a subjective term and can be interpreted to include a wide range of things. The members that have voiced their concerns are all excellent regular posters who have the website's best interest at heart, no doubt. The members, me included, believe that what makes this forum special is the great community it houses and the family feel around the site. Keeping things all "business" like will definitely change that atmosphere around here. We don't want the forum to change because we love it as it is and we are frightened with the ban threats because we want to continue to be a part of this wonderful forum. However, saying that this turning into RAWK or CFCnet is over the top, and although it sprouts from the members' emotions towards the forum, I think it is a bit disrespectful to the staff who have done so much for us. To conclude, I think everybody just needs clam down and be MUCH less defensive about the whole matter. There are no two teams here; we are all, staff and members, in the same boat.
  20. Finally! I grew tired of him breaking the site down!
