End of a frustrating half. I don't mind the draw at all but it's just that most of our players have played poorly. Malouda, Lampard, Cole and bossingwa were poor. Torres, mata, Ramires, and mikel were very average. The two at the back along with Cech were probably our best players on the pitch so far. I hope AVB works his magic between the halves, we really need it.

Interesting choice with malouda starting. I guess AVB is resting Anelka and doesn't want to risk Sturridge before he's 100% fit.

I wonder who's gonna play in the holding midfielder position since mikel played full 90mins at the weekend. Would AVB start Romeu?

I really think we will sign him in Jan. Arsenal already bought mertsacer and man don't need defenders, and seeing as his contract expires in the summer we might get him for a bargain 10m-15m.

Of course he will. AVB will definitely put out the strongest available side, believing otherwise is greatly underestimating a side that out-played Barcelona a couple of weeks ago.

I think he's a very good Inzaghi-like striker. You don't score so much goals in the bundesliga if you're not a great striker.

I'm a regular Serie A viewer; Though I've heard of him, I don't remember him ever doing anything that impressed me. I really doubt that he was ever seriously linked with us if even he admits he's not chelsea quality.

This is the most crucial game in our CL group. Winning this game means cruising in the 4 remaining matches imo. So I expect to see the best 11 we have.

Depends if bayern are playing Rafinha then Lahm plays on the left, or Badstuper then Lahm plays on the right. But really on either sides he is a world-class player both defensively and offensively, not to mention he's a real leader on the pitch.
