  1. Perhaps, but your captain is the last player you would expect to pull what Terry did, especially considering the time and place and score.
  2. I agree with a lot of what you said there mate, but it was not his desire to wear the outfit. Terry and the other suspended players were instructed by UEFA to wear their uniforms so that the celebrations would look better, same would have happened with Alaba and co. had Bayern won. That doesn't take away that what he did in the semis was about the worse thing I've seen any captain do. If I were the manager, I would seriously think about taking his arm-band away.
  3. Never even tried any of those, or the ones like "who is appearing offline" on MSN. It just sounded unlikely.
  4. Yeah, in retrospective, there are sooo many things I could have done as kid instead of the time I spent watching cartoons that I have already watched a hundred times before.
  5. What's the point? He's a slightly better Meireles. Won't provide the "creativity" everybody keeps talking about.
  6. You know what? I didn't even notice who was on the podium and who was lifting the trophy because everything about that moment was surreal. For all I care, the janitor could have lifted the trophy and it would still have been a perfect moment from a Chelsea fan perspective. Let's not belittle the achievement with this petty argument.
  7. This thread makes it look we spent all of our childhood in front of a tv.
  8. No. Ballack's number should be retired! (sarcasm)
  9. ^^ Exactly my thoughts. Carlo rates him highly and PSG can definitely afford his wages.
  10. Apparently Roma have bought the other half of his contract so the scum can f*** off. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/ticker/tickerhub.html?item=3323242&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed
  11. Apparently obvious doesn't come cheap! We just signed the hottest talent in Europe for 32m, paying more for Hulk who is older and less talented than Hazard is ridiculous. I'm all for pulling the plug on this one and searching for alternatives, and there are alternatives unlike what Porto would have us believe; The likes of Jovetic, Hoilet, Moses, Krasic....are all available in the market. But I do agree, I think we will need a Right winger and Right Back and possibly a central midfielder if we plan to loan out both Josh and Kevin. Luckily we have gone into the market early and the summer is still young.
  12. I was re-watching his last interview with Chelsea TV when it hit me that he really is gone. Almost brought a tear to my eye. His departure marks the end of an era and the beginning of another which will hopefully be as successful as the previous. We can never say this enough, but Thank You Didier. Great to see you posting again mate

  14. He says he's more man than Peter Pan! http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/20876/7838307/Mario-more-man-than-Peter-Pan
  15. In FIFA 2001 I'd score with literally every corner with an overhead volley Those were the days!
  16. LMAO If it was just about "fun", then why was he crying when we kicked his arse from the CL?!
  17. De Rossi attracted by the PL: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2163547/Daniele-De-Rossi-attracted-Premier-League-football.html?ITO=socialnet-twitter-dmailsports Interesting..though he'll probably end up at City.
  18. The same could be said about playing for the national sport team or military service; but I think when you have a sense of affiliation to a place, then the 'work' you do for it gives you a sense of pride.
  19. Okay, "Next to impossible" is an exaggeration, but we have been out-bidden, can't see our chances being good at all tbh.
  20. That does look awesome, but let's not get ahead of ourselves, the odds of this happening are still next to impossible at this stage.
