You don't judge his performance by those shots, he's our CB! He did his job perfectly yesterday and got forward involved in attacks when people in front of him failed to do theirs. He played with all his heart Yesterday. My MOTM.

Judging a politician on his appearances is actually an enhancement on what we have here in the Arab world. Here, what is takes to be a politician is for your father to be one too. The constructional texts may have changed, but we are still living in the feudal ages here.

Yeah but I remember he had problems with Rafa. I remember him saying some stuff about Rafa when he first moved here. For me, he isn't a Chelsea player and never was, as harsh as it may sound.

It's actually in Lebanese dialect which differs A LOT from proper written Arabic. If I were to "translate" it to written Arabic, it would be something like: "الخبر الذي ثمنه المال اليوم، يصبح مجاناً غداً "

Sorry, forgot to answer you, been a bit busy lately. No idea why you get the double quotes, I use chrome too but never get that. Regarding lineup builder, I've never used it before, but it's not working for me either. Probably not supported by the skin. I guess you'll have to save the image and post it like the rest of us do

I love the fact that Ferreira is still around. To me, it proves that the club is not all about business and making profit yet. I think Paulo is integral to helping the new and young players, who could learn a lot from him. He can also still put in an excellent shift when asked to. I know I'm about to go into a debate that I am likely to lose because the reasons for Paulo to stay are more sentimental than logical, but I am glad the club realizes his importance and keep giving him contracts.

LOL I know, I was only joking. I'm not that touchy

In Lebanon, we have saying that translates roughly to: "The news that costs money today, is free tomorrow" Don't get all the anxious waiting. We're still 3 days into the window, the deal will be announced soon enough. Patience..

Yup. You sure know your Vodka! That's a bit prejudice, don't you think? I'm an atheist, mate.

With Cech injured, stick him in goal Seriously though, I fear that Benitez thinks that his move to midfield is a permanent one, especially with the rumors today that we're in the market for a CB. Don't think our season can survive having him in midfield for the next 5 month.

Just found a few images on my phone from new year's eve that I have no recollection of. I think this one explains why
-
Always rated him highly and though that he was unfairly not given a proper chance by Mancini, but I doubt there's much to the rumors.

Hats off to Boateng and all the Milan players for leaving the field.
-
Wait what? Why would he do that?

It was quite a hit, but Krul could have save it had he not taken a step in the wrong direction. It was hit straight at where he was standing originally and didn't take any deflects or deviations. He should have done better with it, imo.

Time to put the QPR match behind us and look forward. We haven't played Southampton yet, but they are a side that plays some excellent football at times. They must not be underestimated.

It's not that they are necessarily greedy people, but I think they sometimes need a reality check. The world they live in is full of appearances and careless spending and it's so easy to forget that their is life and people outside that world. Right now there are about 200,000 Syrian refugees here in Lebanon, and more than a third of them are having to resort to begging on the streets to get food. I would like to think that if Roman, or any similar billionaire took a tour in the streets of Beirut now, he'd think twice about spending that money, that could feed all those people for a month, on a single night.

Alright, that's my cue to leave the forum and go to bed. Good night everyone, and do try to settle down by tomorrow.

5 million for a party?! Unless life on earth was going to end straight after and I had 5m, I would never even imagine considering such a thing.

I take what I said earlier back, this is the best post of the day: Your friend is one weird dude, Artur

Well, this will definitely teach us a lesson or two about complacency. It's a bad result, but not the end of the world. We're still in top 4 with a game in hand. I think we can afford this result after the good results against Norwich and Everton. We are not tittle contenders, never been from the start of the season. The problems in midfield were there against Everton but were over-shadowed by the good result. Hopefully this defeat, as bitter as it tastes, can help the manager and the team rectify these mistakes and make the necessary changes (yes, I'm looking at you pivot). The line-up is one of those things that would have been called brilliant had we gotten an early goal and won the game comfortably. I'm sure had we started Mata and Hazard and lost, the manager would have been criticized for not rotating. Not defending Benitez, just the way I see it. What I would fault Benitez for was his subs. Any one could see that the problem was not in Moses or Marin. On the bright side, I though our defense, especially the CB pairing was very good tonight. Won't go into individual performances, but Iva was my MOTM. Had a few anonymous shots, but played with his heart tonight. KTBFFH

No one who has an autobiography as far as I know. A lot of girls I know used to read Nancy Drew too. Any idea what the level of English in it is? Never read it myself.

Just a a book with good, likable story. Preferably nothing too fiction. Just to prove that the "stories" she watches on tv are mainly shit. I, personally, hate reading in Arabic. It is so much more difficult because Arabic is a very old and complicated language. The written Arabic is no longer used in conversations. Besides, every Arabic writer in history is an arrogant cunt That's actually a good idea. I was thinking about getting her something a bit more "girly" like Eat, Pray, Love.. For some reason Dave, I always thought you were much older I'm a "Potterhead" myself, read the whole series 6 times! I'm pretty sure she hasn't watched the movies, and the level of English is perfect for her. Think I'm gonna get either this or Eat, Pray Love. Never read the latter (thought it was too girly) anyone got an idea of the level of English used in it?
