I think the Conte rumors make a whole lot more sense. There's a lot less motivation to come here for both Simeone and Allegri. Both are managing top clubs that will be in the CL next season and competing for the local leagues. This will not be the case at Chelsea. Make no mistake, at the moment it would be a step backwards for both of them. It would take an immense desire for a new challenge or, more likely, a decision based almost solely on money and wages, to bring either of them here.

Cundy's always been a big fan But in all seriousness he did have a very good game against united apart from the first about ten minutes when the whole team started badly. He put in a great shift, especially towards the end where he was dropping back as a CB then taking the ball forward to the midfield. Him and JT worked their hearts out after we went behind. Hard to get that sort of fighting spirit out of players who haven't been here that long.

It is technically possible to break any contract, for a penalty. How much that penalty fee is would basically determine how realistic it is to break it. Of course, you can break a contract with mutual agreement, though I don't see what Gladbach would gain by agreeing to do so. Then there's the possibility that BOTH parties want the contract to be fulfilled and that the club wants Christensen to spend another season in Germany....
