  1. If it weren't depressing this would actually be funny. 25m? REALLY??! There is NO PLAYER at Inter who would in any shape or form improve Chelsea. They only had two decent players but they sold Kovacic to Real and Hernanez to Juventus.
  2. Off the top of my head 6-0 vs Arsenal under Jose, 5-0 vs Bolton under AVB, and something like 8-1 vs Villa under Benitez But yeah, I know what you mean in general. It's very rare that we completely control match like we did against Burnley.
  3. He was amazing yesterday, but as some have already pointed out, he was afforded A LOT more freedom yesterday than he has been probably since RDM. In the few times Burnley did try to attack us, Eden actually let their right fullback to run past him (to be picked up by Matic or Kante) so that when we did win the ball back he was running at the CB. Happened in his goal and happened a few other times as well. That's great to see, but I don't think we can afford to do this against better teams.
  4. Great performance yesterday. Probably his best in a LONG while. Hope to see more of THAT, please!
  5. If I'm not mistaken he's number 25. Not talking about what number shirt he will wear at Milan! He's the 25th player we loan out this season...
  6. No seriously, his stats are getting ridiculous. I already lost count of the goals he's scored or assisted so far.
  7. Throw a Hazard in there and you got a deal!
  8. Well I certainly got a hard-on watching him today!
  9. Couldn't he at least let Azpi score there?!
  10. Anyone else starting to get annoyed with that Heaton guy in goal?
  11. Diego has to put those away. Probably won't matter today, but those should be his bread and butter.
  12. That was fun. We've been mostly good and Burnley have been mostly awful. Hope it continues
  13. Regardless of how much blame Antonio himself shares in this, he will be the one to bare most of the consequences.
  14. Didn't watch the PC but I read the quotes and I got a lot of 'Wenger' vibes from them. I hope that he and the club aren't getting their excuses in early for us failing to get top 4 this season.
  15. No offence but the FA can fuck right off after the disgraceful manner they treated him more than once.
  16. How did he do last night? I didn't watch the match but from the highlights he looked like he had a good first half and decent assist for Mitchy's second.
  17. If we start both Kante and Matic and keep Cesc on the bench at home against Burnley, it's going to be another tough match, and deservedly so.
  18. Don't think there is any. I checked a bit today and it doesn't look to be broadcast (at least live) anywhere.
  19. I hope that work on that statue has already begun. Should fit in well right next to the statue of Djiloboji.
  20. Only watched the highlights for the bronze medal game, but he's always so influential for Nigeria. I think he feels like he has more responsibility when playing for Nigeria as everyone looks to him due to his experience at the highest level.
  21. Surprised no one mentioned this, but he won a Bronze medal with Nigeria in Rio. Great achievement considering they nearly didn't make it there.
  22. How is subbing Moses and Cesc on for Matic and Pedro 'injecting pace'? Anyway, pace certainly wasn't what turned the match around. By far the biggest factor was getting an extra striker on and changing the formation. We could have played another 90 minutes with 4-1-4-1 and would not have scored except from a big mistake like the penalty vs West Ham or a moment of personal brilliance, most likely from Hazard. I actually thought Watford were average at best. They played high , certainly much higher than we were playing off the ball, but their pressing wasn't very effective. I think we'll probably face a tougher test in almost every game we play this season. No disrespect to Conte, but he's still some way from building that strong foundation. Aside from the obvious lack of numbers in defense, we don't seem to have the players who suit any of the formations. In 4-1-4-1 we look relatively solid in defense (though still conceding) but can't create anything on offense; we switch to 4-4-2 and we create chances but our weak back four seems to get exposed in every opposition attack. We're REALLY late in the market to start dealing with those issues.
  23. I've no issues at all with him being given a shot, after all we are actually playing Pedro! But Conte seems to rank both Moses and Pedro ahead of him not to mention Eden and Willian. So if he's going to be fifth choice, it's probably best for everyone he spends his season elsewhere.
