Let me make this clear: If anyone posts a picture of him wearing the wrong shade of blue, he WILL be banned.

Joking? JOKING?! This is a serious forum, sir, for serious people to seriously discuss footballing matters!
-
He's still around the club. He represented us, along with Gourlay, at the CL draw last season.
-
Why? We have players in the Koke mold while Andre is our best option for direct football. I certainly would not trade, even if Koke's market value is perceived to be higher.
-
Similarly, NYFC will not want to make their new superstar and "poster boy" (for want of a better term) unhappy. Of course he has agreed to the move to City. Let's not act like he's being held hostage there just because it makes us feel better.
-
Expected, but happy to see it confirmed. He's one of those players you just know has a positive influence around the training ground.

What does Matic has to do with Mikel's wages? Matic is a completely different type of player to Mikel. He is not a pure CDM, in fact he used to play higher up the pitch until his last year or so in Benfica. Makalele played in a different time with a different system. When someone like Mikel was needed in the team, he was appreciated and praised by a lot of fans; specifically till 2011 and even in 2012 under Robbie. But now we need someone who is more rounded and more dynamic to be a starter for us.
-
That is because Oscar's wages are too low because he moved here from Brazil and not somewhere from Europe. Mikel's wages are more than reasonable for an established player at a top club. How about more than 300 appearances for the club, being the non-British player with the 3rd most appearances in the history of the club and the current third longest serving player? Does that make him established? Not my words, the words of Pat Nevin in his segment called "Analyze That" on Chelsea TV. But keep hating :tophat:

Can I just say how awesome of a guy Petr is for actually constantly interacting with the fans on Twitter. And he just seems so nice and intelligent. One more thing... NSFW
-
Yup. That guy was fun to watch....unless he was playing for your team!
-
Yes, let's forget all the sub appearances and a MOTM performance in the CL semifinal... And his wage demands? At least look it up before you say something like that. Mikel is one of our lowest paid established first team players at 75K/wk. John has said countless times that he feels that he owes the club and hence will stay until the club does not want him anymore.
-
I see someone is taking being completely wrong about this very bitterly But, yeah, keep telling yourself that no team in the world wants to buy Vidal and Pogba!
-
No. No, it doesn't No, I get it. Frank has rarely ever done something to upset the fans in the slightest, so you would expect that he'd be the one who wouldn't do it.
-
Really? The exact opposite to me. Because Frank has always been the player to act with his head and despite all he has done for the club, he always seemed to be thinking of his own interest first and foremost which don't get me wrong he has every right to do. While JT has always been the most passionate player in the team who acts with his emotions and puts his body and his all on the line for the team. Loyality isn't logical, it's emotional and passionate.
-
It's really not that complicated, guys It happens with charity and friendly tournaments all the time. Juve, Milan and Inter have a similar one each year during preseason.
-
Done. Log in remains the same.
-
That's actually a fair point. The game has moved on a bit from the type of players like Mikel. Few team use a traditional anchor man. Carrick facing similar issues at united. But Mikel can still be valuable to the team. He showed that after we signed Matic last season. That is why he is staying.
-
You just thank your stars there isn't a @TC_Meltdown account on Twitter!
-
The funny thing is, Juve aren't "asking" for anything because Paul has said that he doesn't want to leave this summer regardless.
-
I'd change it to "The RAWK Part of TC"
-
I don't think all 3 need to be injured. I think if the third keeper is U21 the FA can make an exception. (I vaguely remember something along these lines happening to Arsenal and them being allowed to sign that crazy German dud who's name I can't remember right now). Again, this is not my logic; I'm just saying that we did the exact same thing last season. Take it out with the club
-
I think there is a clause in the rules that states that if you lose all your first team keepers to injury, the FA will allow you to add someone to your squad list even if it is outside the transfer window. Usually it is an "emergency keeper loan", but I guess it could also be bringing in a keeper you have but have not registered. It is the only remotely logical reason why we renewed Hilario's contract last season but did not register him in neither the PL nor the CL.
-
I'm guessing for the same reason we renewed Hilario's contract last season. What that reason actually is, I am not sure, but some people were saying that in (the unlikely) case that our first two keepers get injured, they didn't want someone like Blackman or Beeney coming in.
-
I think it's obvious that the club will not register Mark in the PL.
-
He attempts more tackles and take A LOT more risks which aren't always good things for a DM, imo. He's more dynamic than Mikel, yes, but that is about it. Mikel is still miles better and much more reliable. You'd be crazy if you'd rather Romeu comes on and not Mikel in a CL semifinal or title decider at the Ettihad.
