  1. That was brilliant work by Ryan there.
  2. I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, but it just sounds soooooo wrong! @, it's okay mate, there are plenty of help and support groups now for kids who were sexually assaulted by one of their parents This is such a @Stingray moment!
  3. I honestly didn't know of him before this news broke out. I had obviously heard and read about us almost getting relegated to the third division in the early eighties, but I didn't know the name of the manager who was the main reason why that catastrophe was avoided. Now that I've read about what he's done for the club and about how brilliant he was as a person, I feel very sad but very grateful to him. I hope the club are planning to do something to honor him. None of us would be here if it weren't for him. RIP Mr. Neal.
  4. The Hull City game popped in my mind while writing that post, the two matches are very similar in more than one aspect, but I have to call that a close second for two reasons. First, Hull were poor in that game, especially in midfield, and second the intensity on Saturday was just on a completely different level. There's also the first half against Bolton under AVB where we literally passed them completely off the park and Luiz's runs from central defense completely destroyed them. But still, the movement in the attack, something we've been suffering from for ages, was nothing like yesterday.
  5. Surely the first criteria to be considered should be personal footballing ability, and in that category Neuer is well ahead all the other candidates.
  6. Not saying he wasn't good, just not better than JT, not even close for me. Wasn't even the best CB in his own team as Vidic was by far the better player, imo.
  7. WTF is this shit? We're not Arsenal or Liverpool to have a shit fans TV. Kill it. Kill it NOW
  8. And Germany fielded their young players which is why they didn't qualify. Tell me, if the Olympics are as important as the WC, why does the USA women NT have two stars in their logo to represent their 2 WC wins and not 4 to represent their 4 Olympics wins?
  9. Ferdinand? Seriously? Sorry, but no way. He never had the football intelligence to be a top player. For me the list of better CBs at their peak includes Campbell, King and Vidic and maybe Adams, but that's about it. Plus, where do you factor in leadership and organizational qualities? Doesn't the effect he has on his teammates and the team as whole contribute to how good a player is considered?
  10. Tbf Xavi had other duties on the pitch to keep him entertained besides just passing the ball four yards:
  11. Not really the same as a WC, though as most teams play younger players instead of their best teams. Germany didn't even play the last Olympics.
  12. I imagine Barca's tiki-taka was rather boring for players to play most of the time.

  14. Nonsense. According to him, Jose was begging him to stay but he wanted a "new challenge". Probably got bored from doing so well at Chelsea that it wasn't even a challenge for him anymore
  15. Very sad news. http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2014/11/john-neal-1932-2014.html Wouldn't be where we are with out him. RIP.
  16. I really felt sorry for Milan yesterday. They were playing with 10 men for 75 mins and only us Chelsea fans understand what they're going through. The moment he came off they got on the front foot and were unlucky not win the derby. They would have surely won had he not started. I just REALLY hope there is no return clause in his loan deal!
  17. They have an excellent team right now but this team hasn't won the WC, while a lot of the current German team won the two back-to-back WCs and the last 3 Euros. Maybe if the USA win the WC in the summer they would be considered the best. Right now it's too close to call between them, Germany and Japan.
  18. On a different note, Di Natalie with his 200th Serie A goal in his 400th appearance!
  19. No surprises. The German women NT is the best in the world.
  20. Zeman! Credit to him, Cagliari went from 2-0 down to get a 3-3 draw against Napoli. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I laughed so hard!
  21. Yeah, but no top class players for them either... Plus, we haven't been benefiting at all from our title contenders qualifying to the CL in the past few years because they all seem to get knocked out of the group stages every season!
  22. Here's a positive point to discuss for a change: Jose alluded to this in his post match conference and I honestly don't think he was exaggerating. Were the first 20-30 minutes the best football played by Chelsea for a long while? For me, it really was the best I've seen us play since 2010. The movement was impeccable, the pressing was good, the passing was quick and purposeful. WBA weren't actually bad, but we made them look poor by how well we played. They set up with a perfect 4-4-2 looking to stay compact and leave no spaces between the lines but we tore them open with perfect movement off the ball, especially by Iva and Azpi who made the very wide. Then the midfielders were able to create space in the middle by quickly changing from one side to the other. Honestly, if we play like that for 90 minutes week in week out and we're probably the best side in Europe, imo. Of course that is easier said than done, and the finishing and final decision still needs work from most of our attackers, but nonetheless it was a real joy to watch. Maybe a glimpse of the future? I really hope so!
