    Arthroscopic knee sergeries are major injuries and is consisted career threatning in the NFL and NBA. Ever since FT9 had his sergey he hasn't been the same player. Nobody seems to give that any attention.

    The sad thing is, we have about 3 successful youths per decade. So odds are against our youngest regarding making it at Chelsea.

    @Magic Lamps Mata is a better player this year though. And Frank wasn't that great on our CL run either. Besides, I think Mata did better than Lampard later last year when we didn't play with 11 defenders.

    Retiring numbers is cool, don't retire 1-11 numbers. Nothing wrong with Americanism eithe. Epl would be so much more successful if it were run like the NFL.

    Wish his agent would have kept quiet about the situation. Lampard seems to have gotten AVB fired, if I'm the next Chelsea coach and I don't plan on playing Lampard much, I certainly wouldn't want him around.

    Mata is my favorite player, but I honestly didn't think he'd be this good: even after the year he had last year.

    considering no Chelsea academy "reject" has ever made it big anywhere, I'm thinking Chelsea are right not to give chances to every academy kid.

    some of the names you.mentioned are just names. You can't say azpi, Bertrand, Ramirez and even Marin are reliable AM's. Only Moses is a real winger that takes on players constantly. The rest of our players either struggle or are natural #10s.
