  1. Actually yeah I agree JT + Alex against a pacey attack that includes Silva, Johnson, Milner, Aguero and co. will be suicidal. Bosingwa is a disaster waiting to happen but Sturridge and Ramires will have to track back to cover for him which is definitely possible if AVB gives them specific instructions to do so
  2. I'd definitely play Romeu at CB... ANYTHING to avoid playing Bosingwa but very unlikely that will happen
  3. Think so you can see Rocha is in Newcastle's technical area
  4. OH haha sorry about that. You should have added a trollface
  5. yes but he's only had a year of first-team football so I believe that he'll learn with time. He's doing really well right now and anyway it's not as if any of our other attackers except for Mata are pulling up any trees
  6. Okay, true. But it's not like we were under crazy amounts of pressure. Like for example the way Newcastle were under pressure last week against Man Utd in the last 20 or so minutes. It wasn't that bad but yes I also feel that Drogba should have gone off 10 minutes before
  7. Oh and was pleased to see our defending during set pieces as well. Had my heart in my mouth every time they got a corner because the fans were roaring them on but we didn't lose our concentration and apart from that horror moment by Drogs, dealt with all their crosses well
  8. Very harsh. It's a hostile atmosphere against a team very much in form. They are definitely going to have periods where they're on top. And they only had 2 or 3 really good opportunities. For the most part we defended quite well. And Meireles I agree wasn't that great but Lamps HAD to be taken off he was a liability in that midfield. And Raul produced two or three brilliant balls to start some counter attacks.
  9. Confirmed by AVB and the official Chelsea twitter+website so it's definitely official
  10. No I agree he shouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11 but I'd rather see him coming on as a sub than Malouda!
  11. Agree with mostly everything but think Drogba is more suited to our game because (like I've said in the match thread twice, apologies) he drags defenders with him which leaves more space for Danny on the right. Anyway Mata & Sturridge are more important to our team now than either of those two. Danny does have to work on his finishing though but I'm sure he will. He's played less than a year of first-team football and was only playing reserve league football before this so he hasn't been a regular for long at all. He will improve with time
  12. Yeah Krul did get a touch on it but who gives a shit!! he scored didn't he?! And he had a couple of decent passes including the one played for both Torres & Danny but Danny got the touch and made Krul produce a good save. He also tracked back and helped A. Cole out a lot Still obviously want him out as well but the unnecessary hate is annoying
  13. Mata was just superb in the hole in the first half. He had so much space and he doesn't need much time to produce quality. It's definitely where he's best.
  14. Kalou's performance doesn't change my mind about him. I still want him out of this club. But don't take away this good cameo he had today, cmon now
  15. Agreed. Even though Drogba was tired, this was a good sub because we needed someone who would track back but had pace to counter attack so it was a good move. Would have been a good move against Valencia as well if he hadn't made that ridiculous decision that gave away the pen
  16. Yep that's all they can focus on. Every time he makes a forward run, the commentators start a long monologue about how exposed he's leaving us at the back, etc etc. Just unbearable. Overall I'd say his last 4 performances: Leverkusen, Wolves, Liverpool and Newcastle today have been much improved
  17. Yep and also Mata played much more central today, so he's definitely changing things that aren't working (Romeu in for Mikel, etc)
  18. AVB confirms Anelka and Alex have handed in transfer requests and both have been accepted
