Wigan have been god awful this season. I'd like to see: Cech Ivanovic - Luiz - JT - Bertrand Meireles - Mikel - Lampard Sturridge - Torres - Mata

Andre Villas Boas arrested for assault BREAKING NEWS

I was watching that nutmeg over and over again last night after the game and the best part of it was Kompany almost falling on his ass while trying to turn around -
I cannot believe that the media are trying their hardest to take the win away from us. A win that we worked so hard for and deserved. The players and management deserve a lot of credit for that win. And yet it's all about that one decision. Obviously they have to praise us a little after winning but what are the main stories coming out of the media? "City furious after penalty dispute" blah blah blah. Ridiculous. Clattenburg overall was piss poor yesterday. No one is talking about Yaya Toure and his disgraceful kicks on Mata and Ramires. He didn't even get a yellow card in the entire game ffs. He makes at least 5 to 6 cynical challenges in the 2nd half alone and yet doesn't even get a damn yellow card. No one is talking about how Kompany was lucky not to get sent off. All they can remember from the 90mins is that one incident which went our way. The commentary was so biased & disrespectful as well. In the first half, Alan Parry mentioned a number of times that he hopes that City players aren't given a red card because it would "ruin the game". After Clichy was off, he said "it's a pity" that he's off because "it's not an even contest anymore". ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?! It's as if we openly bribed the referee into making that decision. And I thought the build-up to the game where they were making us underdogs was way too excessive. Yes, we were the underdogs. I am not stupid enough to claim that we have a squad anywhere near as good as City's. But they were making it seem as if City were playing Doncaster Rovers. For all the talent and strength in depth that City have atm, we still have a far superior team spirit and that shone through yesterday. City were so arrogant after the first 15 minutes. They thought they were going to stroll to a win. What Toure did to Mata was out of pure arrogance. The way he lifted his hand to Mata's head and the smirk on his face. CUNT. We didn't roll over and die like what happened to Utd or other weaker teams. I'm glad our players realized as time was slowly passing that this team is a FAKE. For all their possession they created ONE chance.

Yes Jim no need to apologize. Sorry if I came off as rude in my comment. I just wanted to know what was going on

Completely agree. They dominated us without creating much. They only had TWO chances in the ENTIRE match and both occurred before the 10th minute mark.
-
Hope the referee writes about the two incidents in his post-match report. The fucker deserves a ban for that. If he had caught Ramires properly it would have been a serious injury
-
Disgusting. Toure is a disgraceful cheat. Worse than Suarez, Rooney, and all the other cunts.
-
Agree about Ivanovic. I place the most blame on JT because he came out and didn't get a control on Aguero. He should have at least brought Aguero down and given away a fk. Can't believe he came all the way out and just let him keep the ball. Ridiculous. Bosingwa was day-dreaming too but I feel like JT was more at fault for needlessly rushing out so early and when the situation changed when Aguero turned and was facing the goal, he didn't do anything to stop it. And yes, I'm not criticizing Sturridge for that. What I meant was... Romeu, Ramires etc deserve more credit imo (as regards to being the MOM or "Star Man" or whatever) because they were more consistent. imo anyway
-
^ Very accurate ratings and descriptions. Don't understand some of the crazy praises that Sturridge got. Yes, he had a couple of wonderful players but he disappeared from the game for long periods at a time.

It's kind of amazing to think that gems like him came from Barca's YOUTH TEAM ffs. Romeu would be able to slot into any Prem league team easily and yet he's in their YOUTH team. Really amazing, the talent that lies there.
-
Well against WIgan, sure. But in general and especially in the big games he shouldn't start anymore.

I'm not trying to sound rude or whatever but I was wondering if we were going to solve the hosting issues? I really enjoy coming on here to discuss the games. It's really frustrating when the forum goes down immediately afterwards I know it's kind of hypocritical of me to complain about this, seeing as I haven't donated yet. But I'm afraid that I won't be getting some work until Jan or Feb so am pretty low on cash atm. And I still have to get my own debit card. Defo looking to try and donate asap though

hahaha well I guess City fans can be as daft as the Scousers anyway I agree with Henrique. Lampsey's penalty doesn't mean he should be starting. Meireles should definitely be a starter over him. The way the media have been reporting the win... it's as if Lamps singlehandedly dragged us to the win. His two contributions in the match were: a decent pass to Sturridge and scoring the penalty.
-
Think Lucas has been quality the last couple of seasons. I haven't watched him regularly though. Anyway he's injured now. Romeu is absolute CLASS. We should give him a 5 year contract right now

Romeu was CLASS!!!! Very impressed by the young lad

Also how eerily similar is this match and result to the one against Man Utd at SB in March?!?! Went 1-0 down early. The scorer of the opposition goal scored at the Matthew Harding Lower and celebrated by gesturing towards the fans Equalizer by a new signing. Penalty late late in the game. Taken and scored by Lampard to win the match. :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
