  1. The last one I received was on 15/08/08, has anymore been sent out since then? Also did anyone receive that member bulletin thing from Frank the other day, as I didn't???
  2. My membership pack came through just over a week ago, but still no magazine, so have emailed the club again about it today on [email protected] as I've tried using the online form on the website 3 times in the past month and not heard anything so doubt that it works properly.
  3. Not had that problem, but not received my first monthly magazine
  4. Ha ha I can't just see Bush now squaring up to Putin giving him the 'my dad is bigger than yours' line.
  5. How am I wrong? Yes there is more than meets the eye with this, but to put things in perspective, who kicked off the hostilities and started the warfare? Georgia. What happens when you play with fire, or in this case pick a fight with one of the worlds super powers in Russia? You get burnt, or destroyed. As you point out it's not as simple as black & white, but everything I said is right, and what Georgia should have done was approach nato/un for their help as opposed to starting a fight and complaining when there is a big reaction
  6. Georgia kicked things off, then Russia came in to protect it's citizens, and quite rightly so. Then Georgia goes crying to NATO or UN 'whatever' calling for a ceasefire. Bit like going into woolworths, nicking loads of pick and mix, getting caught out and saying in court can we just call all this off. Russia have gone in heavy handed, perhaps some may say too heavy handed, but then IMO can you ever go in too heavy handed when you're at war and protecting your own people? No! The Yanks as always think they are the sole power of the Universe and instead of trying to cool things by taking the stance of, 'very good Russia, you've made your point, now call it a day' they instead almost square up to them talking along the lines of Russia's actions will not be left unanswered. Well done, like that's going to stop things over there, and hey lets start a cold war, or have the US and Russia firing nukes at each other. Why is that a country with so much power is so fooking stupid???
  7. Would be nice, but no, no no!
  8. Drogba on form is formidable, but sadly that is a bit of a rarity, so why anyone would think that the sun shines out of his arse is beyond me, in my opinion Drogba didn't get us to Moscow on his own, but he did play a major part. We pay a lot of money to watch our club, and our club pays a lot of money for Drogba to perform, which he does as and when he can really be bothered, hence why he's not everyone's favourite player. He isn't the greatest striker in the world, and a club like ours can replace him very easily, except no-one was really that interested despite Drogs saying he wanted out, and his agent probably working his socks off to get him a deal at another club. A high price tag might put a lot of clubs off, but in reality it's his attitude that will put most off, as who wants to spend a vast amount on a striker who will probably say he wants to leave after a season or two?? People pay their hard earned to see him at the bridge, on sky etc etc, and when they see a piss poor performance they will have a moan, and quite rightly so. Best way to shut up the moaners is to play well, not sulk like a teenager and put in several more poor performances. Rant over, soapbox put away, good night
  9. The odd £10 here and there sadly
  10. Remember we beat Ipswich on penalties, same compo, 1/4 final if memory serves me correctly from that season as well.
  11. See your point and in a lot ways agree, but would rather JT gave as good he gets so to speak. JT was right last season, until Uncle Fester screwed things up. Ths year with a fully fit squad to choose from, and with Scolari's tactical nous, we'll blow those red shites away, and JT has done a grand job of making ol' Red Nose well aware of that.
  12. Not received my pack yet, although in saying that only got round to sorting it out about a week ago
  13. I've heard and (v.occasionally) used the expression "I would eat her shit" when speaking about hopping onto the good foot and doing the bad thing with a stunner, but vomit is something else, and actually eating it, superb. Commendable performance!!
  14. Kenyon is a prize prick, and IMO brings nothing to the club as he gets too involved talking about football, which he clearly (by his own comments) knows nothing about. I for one am concerned by our spending/debts, and am v.thankful to Roman for what he has done for the club and continues to do. Yes he could walk away, but (again) IMO I don't think he is the sort of man who would walk away and leave the club in a mess, as having put so much cash in, why would he seriously do that? We will become self sufficient eventually, but I strongly doubt it will be by 2010. Hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it. Of course the day will come when Roman decides to call it a day, but I'm sure he'll give plenty of warning as he will realise (being an astute business man) that the club might not cope with wages without his money, so he would most likely stop signing players and wait until all high earners contracts are at an end etc
  15. standing in dog shit, or being shat on by seagulls
  16. Think Sheva will be our dark horse this season. Goal early doors could be the start of a big season for him. I hope anyway
  17. Spoilt for choice in the middle, which is great. Hope I'm not tempting fate (touches wood) but have a sneaky feeling that Drogs is on his way out and if we played Anelka and either Kalou or Malouda up front it could prove to be tactical genius. Let's take Tyler's lineup above for example. The back four is solid, and we have great cover on the bench. Have a four man midfield of Essien, Deco, Ballack and Lamps, with Essien effectively sweeping behind the other three. That would be awesome, Essien picking up the scraps, Deco working his magic and Lampard & Ballack creating killer final balls or going for goal themselves. Plenty of flair in there, and attacking options. None of those four are particularly good for hugging the touchline but, in Anelka and Kalou for example we have two strikers that can easily pull out wide and then allow Lampard and Ballack to take up central positions (along with who upfront hasn't pulled out wide) in the box, with Deco on hand to pick up any clearances. One word, Formidable!! As much as I love Drogs, if the above is the plan, which me and several others really hope it is, then I would rather see him go over Frank any day of the week.
  18. Get in, must admit sometimes select as the song on my phone alarm wise, but ringtone is Blue is the Colour, would be rude not to
  19. Can't sing for toffee, not even when pissed. Would go for the Liquidator and just dance/hum along with it
  20. Jenna Jameson, Tera Patrick or Brianna Banks would do me fine, or all three at once
