  1. Kagawa is not a top player. Yet. Vidic has been in and out of the team just like Terry, hence won't read that much into it too. The thing is whenever we have played Utd, it always looked comfortable. As if there weren't any surprises when they were playing against us. On top of that their wingers are in terrible form and hence that left them with only RVP who carried the team for a long time but has now ran out of steam(According to his own manager). Rooney is still the only player i fear from that side and nobody else. Hence i am quite confident of beating them again. I have no idea how the hell do they have a 15 points lead at the top of the table. May be English football is in decline, and it needs something special. :eyebrows:
  2. Not wearing any blue tinted glasses, but may be it's my observation that Rafa has got the set up of the team against a big team spot on. It's the mid table teams that i fear right now because we don't turn up against them but the team looks motivated and there is a hunger when playing a big team. May be it's down to the manager or may be it's down to the players but i feel quite confident about Chelsea in those situations and hence i think we can win at OT especially if they wrap up the league by the time we play them. Anfield could be tricky though, i agree!
  3. Rafa Benitez's men have won three (all at home) and lost three (all away) of their last six Premier League games. The Blues have not lost a Premier League game at Stamford Bridge in the month of April since a 3-0 defeat by Manchester United in 2002 (W17, D8). Chelsea have scored 12 headed goals this season, a figure only bettered by leaders Manchester United (13). Chelsea have lost the last two league matches that John Terry has started (v Newcastle and Southampton). Paolo Di Canio will become the fifth manager (including caretakers) to start his time in a Premier League job with a trip to Stamford Bridge. None of the previous four have managed to win (D1, L3).
  4. I actually expect QPR to get some points of Arsenal. Arsenal are also yet to play united. Old Trafford doesn't concern me that much TBH. Having played them thrice this season , we dominated about 200 mins in those matches. I am expecting a win at OT. Liverpool haven't really played well against top teams and they are a classic case of hit and miss, i think we can knick that one too. More than that, a win against Spuds will seal the deal for me!
  5. Arsenal will be playing 2 relegation threatening teams in Wigan(H), QPR(a). They finish at Newcastle which could be tricky as well.We only play Villa who will be in relegation scrap. Could work in our favor!!
  6. Like a proper Chelsea fan, have ordered next season's jersey allready. :eyebrows:
  7. Chelsea have won 15 of their last 16 matches against Sunderland in all competitions. Chelsea have been winning at both half time and full time in their last 4 home matches in the Premier League. Chelsea have won their last 4 home matches in the Premier League. Chelsea have been winning at both half time and full time in their last 3 matches against Sunderland in all competitions. Sunderland have lost their last 3 away matches in the Premier League
  8. Bertrand: 'Ashley Cole's injury is a chance for me to come in but we must just focus on the next game and get the right result.' #CFC Bertrand: 'Rubin Kazan knocked out the Europa League holders and have good away form so I am sure they will be tough opposition.' Bertrand: 'As an upcoming player, the Europa League is a chance of another trophy and any competition for me is important.' #CFC Bertrand: 'I was a good friend of [Rubin Kazan's] Gokhan Tore when he was at Chelsea.' #CFC Benitez on team news: 'No confirmation on Ashley Cole's injury, but we think around two weeks.' #CFC Benitez: 'Today we worked on some tactics, little things, because we cannot push [the players] too hard with this number of games.' #CFC Benitez: 'We proved against Utd we can compete against anyone. It was an important game for us.' #CFC Benitez on improved players: 'Azpilicueta, David Luiz, who was criticised at the beginning, showed on the pitch they are growing.' #CFC Benitez: 'We know Rubin Kazan is a good team. They are well organised. It will be tough.' #CFC Benitez on Bertrand: 'He knows how to move forward, progress and improve. He is learning from people with experience.' #CFC Benitez: 'I told the players they have to be ready for any game. That is the way to compete and be capable of winning.' #CFC Benitez: [The players] know how important it is to win trophies and finish in the top three.' #CFC Benitez on Rubin: 'They have ability in the wide areas, good passers in the middle and a strong defence. They have good balance.' #CFC Benitez on Cahill & Cole absence: 'Hopefully the others can do a good job. Ivanovic, Terry & David Luiz have done well. We can manage.' #CFC Benitez: 'I prefer to play at home because we have so many games. It's better to stay here than travel to Moscow [this week].' #CFC
  9. More than mobility, its the lack of tacklers in our team which is our biggest problem. Ramires is a scamperer, Mikel is a hold up guy, Lampard is a um..ball hoofer, but we have no ball winner at all. When a team is under pressure or when it is pressing, a tackle or 2 really maintains the momentum for a team. That's why Meireles was so important. Although, Meireles was more of in your face player rather than a tackler but within our squad he was still the best tackler.
  10. Yup, Spurs match will be postpoed and most probably will be played in GW 35/36.
  11. In the Europa league, that is. Considering he was pretty good against Bucharest. These stats are from whoscored.com.
  12. ] Rubin Kazan have kept a clean sheet in 7 of their last 9 matches in UEFA Europa League. Rubin Kazan are undefeated in 9 of their last 10 matches in UEFA Europa League.
  13. Fergie before the match: "Chelsea never had a good oppostion in FA cup for a long time." Looks like the old man was correct. We still haven't had any good opposition in the FA cup.
  14. And i know Ba scored a cracker of a goal but my man of the match goes to Cech for that awesome, out of this freaking world save from chicharito. Absolutely phenomenal. That was the moment which made me believe, we are winning this.
  15. We're going to Wember-ley, we're going to Wember-ley, fuck your history we're going to Wember-ley!
  16. No RVP, No Rooney. Second String considering RVP has brought them where they are in the season.
  17. Not being able to put a goal past a second string United team. Sums up the season nicely.
  18. Oscar, man he looks like he should have started the next gen final later tonight and not play with the big boys.
  19. Reading that Rafa has been sacked by the Chelsea board, even as an April fool joke, it felt so good. Such is the dire state of us fans now.
  20. Chelsea (8) Arsenal (8) Tottenham (7)Sunderland (h) West Brom (a) Everton (h)Tottenham (h) Norwich (h) Chelsea (a)Fulham (a) Everton (h) Man City (h)Liverpool (a) Fulham (a) Wigan (a)Swansea (h) Man Utd (h) Southampton (h)Man Utd (a) QPR (a) Stoke (a)Aston Villa (a) Wigan (h) Sunderland (h)Everton (h) Newcastle (a) The match against Spurs is now a cliff hanger. If we lose that match, i don't see coming back to top 4. Hopefully Spurs will drop points against Everton which might give some breathing space and then if we beat Spurs , that would open up a 3 point gap with a game in hand for Chelsea(Provided Chelsea beat Sunderland too). I expect West brom to nick some points from Arsenal having lost to West Ham and the them playing at home which will make us go 5 points clear of Arsenal again. Everton again hopefully will get a draw at Arsenal which will widen the gap further. The fact that Spurs and Arsenal both play 2 relegation threatened(Sunderland and Wigan for Spurs and QPR and Wigan for Arsenal) sides might work in our favor We only play Villa(banana skin) which might be safe at that point. I know it's all wishful thinking right now! But i feel positive that we can finish in top 4 unless of course there aren't any brain farts from the players of from the waiter.
  21. Yeah, Rooney is fine if he wins it but i don't want that cunt Rio to win it. Pretty sure next year, if not this year will be Rio's last at Utd.
