In india only Leeds vs Everton is being broadcast.... really hoping Some russian Network will pick our game, sometimes Fox soccer picks up chelsea games as well. Chelsea vs Wolves , its not like we're playing a league 2-3 side, so very hopeful. Hopefully we rest Hazard Mata Oscar Mikel and a few others. If sturridge is fit, then give him a game as CF....lets see what he can do, as at the moment, none of us have actually seen him at CF at chelsea and keep saying he will be great there..... he still has to prove himself in that position at Chelsea. He has in many ways proven himself at a wing position, but at CF , Wolves at home should be a good trailer/test. Marin , if fit, should play and show off himself. We should win this 3-1 even with our second team, as we are at home.... cant expect much less.

Shouldnt there be a rule that you've gotta discuss something , or even write a few lines about your views? Nowdays people have stopped writing even one line, or a few words,..... Just a Lineup. WTF? PS if thats what floats your boat...i,e, just a lineup, then enjoy doing that! Nothing against you. i Just think it takes away from a match Discussion.. Cue : close page.

What a Brilliant performance from our boys!! Loved the passing and movement throughout the 90. And Mikel!! Wow! He can be so good both defensively and offensively if he has the right DP partner. Our best DP has been founf today. Mikel and Ramires worked so well. We could utilise ramires' pace and defensive abilities, while that allowed mikel to express himself and go forward so gracefully. I really hope RDM continues with this pairing. Saying that, i also dont want lampard NOT to play. but Ramires and Mikel were Outstanding today, they compliment each other and looked RIGHT, Lamps and Mikel look wrong. It doesnt work as well. WE ARE PROGRESSING.....Yay! RDM has balls....yay!!! only got good things to say today.
-
I actually think Bertrand is really good when he plays in his left wing role. Not that we dont have many players who are more flashy, but he is really good. Ramires sadly does'nt have a spot that suits him in our team anymore, with a 4-2-3-1, he is just being forced in. Romeu is probably really bad in training, for him not to even get a look in. For the Stoke game at Home, i think we should do the polar opposite of them. They are going to put out a team full of strong tall players. We should put out all players who have technique pace, and small. If RDM plays Ramires as RW again, then there is something wrong with him. Moses is Perfect for this game, he is fast, and hungry. Lampard will play, and will be rested for the League cup game midweek. So i guess the DP will remain the same. Hazard can get alot of fouls against the Rugby style of stoke, so oscar mata hazard is a go. If sturridge is available, he has got to get the start. Torres has started every game, and needs to know that he is not invincible. Being benched should make him want to do more work on the pitch for his next game. Right now he is too comfortable. The same applies to Mikel, Lampard and Ivanovic. They are too comfortable atm. Bench them for a game, to give them the hunger and realise that they have people who can replace them, and they have to fight every match to keep their place.

This is a half joke, but 2 words : ANDY MURRAY

Anyhow, i have made 25 quid into 80 over the past 2 weeks, attempting tonite to make it into 104 pounds, that is over 4 times the initial investment. This is my bet, Draw no bet on Athletico seems a sureshot winner. Draw no bet on Napoli also should be a win South Africa vs Zimbabwe T20 should be straight forward. The only dodgy one here is the Draw no bet for Tottenham at home against Lazio. Do not think tottenham will lose, so as long as they win, or even draw, i think ive got a good accumulator going. Its at 2.29, and ive got 20 quid riding on it. Wish me Luck!

You had odds of 3800?? Is that even possible with only 10 games?
-
I wish the best for Torres this season, as next season i am sure he will not be a chelsea player. He does not fit in to our style, and doesnt do the hardwork off the ball. On the ball he does some good things, but we need a hard worker. Mikel and Lampard both were not at all good today, and it was basically oscar who was making things happen upfront. Terry, while he has his superhero moments a few times every game, is becoming error prone, and ivanovic is not a good RB. Our defence really needs fixing,
-
Torres has had a great game too....leading the line well. And Oscar.... way to go... starter against stoke? RDM might have to give him that start beside mata hazard
-
I am really hopeful of that too, but unlike lukaku, who was not sharp enough and had many many flaws, Oscar is quality in every way. The realization i am having is, where will he play? In our Pivot, Mikel doesnt get injured and he is pretty much the only true DM that we have, so he will keep his place in the DP. Lampard too does not get injured much, and will play atleast 80-90% of our matches. Really dont see Oscar breaking that combination, as RDM likes it, and cant bench Lampard IMO. Then there is Hazard Mata who are dead sure of being selected in the starting lineup. So only if hazard is made to play as a right winger does oscar have a chance of getting in, but for the RW position there are also Marin and Moses and possibly Sturridge at times. Even if oscar can play RW, there are better options for that position so he wont be first in line. Add to that RDM's defensive liking of putting either/both Bertrand and Ramires on LW and RW respectively, then there is one more and sometimes 2 more spots taken up by these two. Where and how is Oscar going to break into the first team, when his opportunities will be so limited? Suppose Lamps is left out for a FA cup game and Oscar slots in, and does well, i still dont think the next PL game, RDM will sit lampard on the bench and play Oscar. He only has a realistic chance of having a run in the team if someone gets injured. As a sub, he will always be effective but in a limited way. Really cant see how we can integrate him into the first team this season atleast.... maybe next season if Lamps goes to MLS, Oscar will be first choice for that position. So having bought him, with this formation, we cant use him often, and he will not grow the way he should without enough gametime. A player of his talent should be playing week in week out, similar to Courtois. He has only progressed to much as he has got Starting 11 gametime, which Oscar is not going to get. So only time will tell if this will be the sort of year a player of his talent requires to become WC.
-
I feel really bad for Oscar. We should have loaned him if we're not going to give him time on the pitch for the important matches. Dont really care if he plays in the Capital One Cup matches. He is quality and you dont buy a 25 million player to make him sit on the bench. Sorry Oscar. Its sad really. Really sad.

This is part of my reaction everytime Torres Scores a goal. Then i celebrate.
-
Yes he has been rated, and he has had more than a few fantastic games for us. Its my personal opinion, that i think we can have a defensive midfielder who is more of an enforcer and commanding than mikel. My opinion will probably not change, but the fact that you have already decided that i will view your observation as irrelevant and not constructive is wrong. What to do, you have already made your judgement on how i will respond.
-
What? I said at the beginning of my post that i dont rate Mikel Highly. Cech must be shit too? Am i missing something here? Some sort of inference? It works differently with GK's . Most Big Clubs have long terms solutions for their GK's. Anyhow, your reply was not in any way constructive, so i will refrain from providing a constructive reply. Ill 'Skip' it.

Your strangest celebration to a Chelsea goal?

The Problem in Chelsea 4-2-3-1 Formation
The Rising Sun replied to ╫rue Blue's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Haha Cheers ! Im waiting for The TC army to slam me for a "knee jerk" "plastic:" "you dont know football" and lastly "we're on top of the league" posts. They're Coming, -
Id rather watch a movie. Whats the point of watching choreographed stuff which has such high levels of manufactured drama. I loved Wrestling till the moment i learnt its fake.
-
I dont rate Mikel highly. I should state that first. Just realised, that ever since any player has joined Chelsea after the Roman Era, there has always been some form of Interest from other clubs for almost all our starters, EXCEPT FOR MIKEL. I wonder why. I really think only our supporters(not all) rate him that well. Tell me how pathetic i am.

The Problem in Chelsea 4-2-3-1 Formation
The Rising Sun replied to ╫rue Blue's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Also, we need to play a formation with more than 1 Striker, as If he is not having a good game, we are in many ways, FUCKED. Most top teams play with 2 CF's. Dont know why we cant do the same. We need to have more people forward who can do stuff. Sturridge and Torres upfront can be a healthy partnership. Ramires cant do stuff, Bertrand can do a little more stuff, but not enough, Mikel is the no stuff guy on holiday. Lampard is capable of stuff but not as a DM. So if Mata is not clicking, and Hazard cant win the game for us, then its very likely that "We're Gona hava A Bad Time"( Russel Peters Style) Sorry guys, couldnt think of an appropriate word for 'stuff'. -
The Problem in Chelsea 4-2-3-1 Formation

For all those who know the game of CRICKET, RDM's team selections are equivalent to a cricket coach, starting his batting line-up with all bowlers, so that they can wear out the new ball, so that the best batsman do not get out against the new ball. However, the top batsmen of any team take advantage of the new ball and are there to get the boundaries(goals). Imagine if any coach in cricket's top team would do that against zimbabwe(QPR,reading). He would be smashed by the press and every professional on planet earth. RDM likes playing a test match, with the opening batsmen as night watchmen. It is plain wrong. Tactics and strategies like those are meant for moments where you are trying to stay in the game and are in trouble. We are neither in trouble, and dont need to stay in the game, we need to go for the win ..... and with confidence and style. We have all the players there, why not play them? If we dont get the desired attractive football with results, then go back to Parking the Bus against the southamptons and QPRs of this world, but heck, atleast give the players that have come in to change our style a chance. He plays 10 players from last season and 1 new player, that too with many players playing out of position. What The Fuck Is Going On? Its like having ammunition, but choosing to try and dodge bullets, and on the odd chance, when the enemy is reloading, go slit his throat( counter attack). We are better than that. Take out your bazooka RDM , and fire!!!! -
Can people please stop playing the We're top of the league card? We are only 4 games in, and our opponents have dropped points against good sides. Yes we're on top of the league, and while that is good, i fear RDM has shown his cards, and the team selection for QPR really makes me worried. That is all !! Hopefully his quiet, calm exterior is only a fraction of him as a person , not his personality as a manager. I am worried. He will either grow some balls over the season, or will continue to think that the only way to achieve glory is through the methods he used last season, which were as negative as possible. Understandable at times, as we were playing European Powerhouses, but doing the same more than a few times this season against much lesser sides, what??? This was QPR. He is a nice guy, but he needs to change his mindset and take risks. Change never comes without atleast some risks and gambles. RDM is trying to change things without even a single risk, which i dont think is possible. And to the people saying we got 1 more point than what we achieved last season..... last season was a joke.... 1 more point than last season's result is nothing to be positive about. We are the European champions, and yesterdays Line-up against a much much inferior opposition was an Embarrasment and insult to that Title.
-
I agree.
-
Every Chelsea Supporter should be disappointed we did not come back with 3 points today. There is a difference between going to Stoke and coming back with a draw, and saying we EARNT the point, and in going to QPR ... losing 2 points, and still saying we won 1 point. Di Matteo doesnt look to have the balls to actually implement and take risks to change our style of play. While i might sound stupid here, i really appreciate Brendan Rogers and what he is doing at liverpool. He has a philosophy and he is implementing it at all costs. And they will come good sooner rather than later. RDM on the other hand, isnt ballsy enough to take tough calls on team selections and is generally either ignorant or stubborn with players he likes in certain positions. Today was pathetic. Yes, we move on, but RDM needs to pull up his socks and change the starting 11. Ill say this for the first time ever, but yes, i finally have given up on Torres. He has brilliance and relies on services blah blah, but he does fuckall for 85 minutes. Pretty much walks or Jogs, doesnt pressure the defence or chase opposition players. His switch goes on and off, and it seems that he is as WRONG for us as Dimitar Berbatov was for United. We need a CF who closes down players, continuously pressurises people and in general seems eager and alive. Apart from a few good moments every game, the guy is the biggest Liability we have had ever. The only way forward for our club is to sell him in January/Summer and buy Cavani/Falcao esque players, who work tirelessly and leave their mark on every game. Their presence is felt. Torres is frustrating to watch, and im tired of supporting him no matter what. Now he is on my supporting equivalent of a "Pay as you play" contract. If he performs well, will praise him, and badly, then will slam him. But today is the day i stop telling everyone that he is going to come good, and will get his mojo back etc etc. He is well and truly like a moody girlfriend.

His Man mangement is definitely the type chelsea needs. IMO, tactically he will always be defensive, which is not what as fans we want, but it is silently effective. However, while buying players to change our style to attacking flair, he is notpicking teams for a free flowing style of football. Not that he doesnt have the ability, which he might have, but i dont think he really has a philosophy that is based on attacking football, rather defensive.( till now at chelsea) I know he can steady the ship and help us set up for the future, but i dont think he has the balls to make decisions and name lineups that will scare the opponents, he will always instead choose to counteract the opposition's players , even while he can choose a team that will have the opposition on the defensive. Its a wierd situation, where RDM is exactly what we needed after the AVB disaster, but it is upto him to evolve as a manager who is taking the initiative and gain the confidence to prepare lineups that are fitting with the talent we have. Time will tell. He has the potential, but for me, i want changes in the way he decides to approach games.
