  1. At best he'd a replacement for Anelka not least cause their similar players and both French
  2. Yup, hes right it was a pretty big thing his moving cross country a while back
  3. Sorry folks its just never going to happen. Never. If he was even slightly interested in moving he would more thank likely go to Arsenal Since Wengers team represent a something like 70% french speaking squad, hes got no intention of leaving and even less intention of being played out of position just because he can play out wide it doesn't mean he'd commit the future of his career to doing it. Madrid want Falcao too but I really don't see him going in that direction Benzema had his best season for Los Merangues last season so I can't see him upending that and leaving, in all honesty he seems quite happy as a squad memeber and therefore lacks the passion and drive to be first choice so as skilled a player as he is, I'd rule him out of contention as fast as the Spanish media ruled him in.
  4. From 3 years ago bro, not happening
  5. I think we all know this was never really on the cards
  6. Yeah I think If we were to take him for anywere near £44 a good chunk of that would have to be performance related but for a 21-22 year old its a massive gamble
  7. So seeing that we're looking for a playmaker, young and world class I'd say Pastore fits the bill? But obviously the price Is a bit of a stumbling block but I can't see anyone fronting 50m euros for him, so the price is bound to drop before the end of august and I'd be interested to see how this situation develops. You can't deny his ability to get past his man, probably prince of the Nut Megs about now and hes got no end of flair and was the highest scorer playing from a Trequartista position in a domestic cup final reaching team. So his ability to get past his man coupled with his good eye for a pass and argentinian flair could be exactly what we're looking for, but I suppose we've got the risk of injuries and what not since he's quite dainty and we've all seen what a Premier League CB does to a player who embarrasses them with a nutmeg next time they come in to get the ball. He's my resounding favorite to take over from Lampard in the future as hes got the passing ability and the goal tally which not alot of midfielders offer with a 20+ goals a season, although Snejider could probably hit that mark too and hes deadly from dead ball situations. Also, did anyone see his goal against Catalonia? Scorching!
  8. New here myself! But welcome and enjoy!
  9. The Missus haven't managed to catch her in the new kit yet but shouldn't be long
  10. This is a really back and forth up and down transfer saga One day hes going to Barca, then Mancini wants him, then he says he wants to go to Spain so Man City up the bid then he says he's got no prefrance between the two, then i hear he's left the Chilie camp to sign a contract with Barca, then I hear Man City throw even MORE money at Udinese, now its kind of all come to a bit of a stand still, seems like the whole time we've just been floating around the cusp. But saying that without a manager we shouldn't really be making signings anyway. Also am I the only person that thinks hes a BIT over rated?
  11. Malouda was on fire at the start of 2010/2011 so christ knows what happened there but I mean who would fill in for him? I've noticed Kakuta's got a pretty huge following here so I'm guessing he'd be first choice? be nice to see McEachran and Kakuta come up into the senior first XI as Terry starts to head out but we'd be short a world class winger, don't get me wrong Kakutas good, but Maloudas probably better, even with his faults.
  12. Exactly! Real Madrid want their own Messi, I mean you can't say Ronaldo's not a world class player but hes just missing that something that makes Messi ... Well ... Messi, but I think their expecting Neymar to fill that role and I think hes arrogant enough (from what I've read and seen) to think that he can do it which is going to go one of two ways, he'll be a world class world renowned player, or he'll burn out.
  13. I don't really think we need Falcao nearly as much as Hulk, he can play as a striker or on either wing. we need to strengthen the squad in general look at last season we had 3 or 4 injuries at the same time and it caused no end of trouble, we let J.Cole, Ballack and Deco go and brought in Yossi (who only lasted a few months before suffering an Achilles injury while on international duty and put onto the long term injury list himself) and Ramires who in fairness is turning out quite well bearing in mind its his debut season. But Hulk i would defiantly say is vital, if not him Sanchez or Neymar, little off topic but anyone know if Neymar can play out wide?
  14. I'm sure Red Roman could afford them all and the astronomic wages that follow but with UEFA's financial fair play it seems kind of counter productive
  15. Its pretty common knowledge we need a decent right sided forward and with his scoring record and that left foot of his he'd be perfect especially because of his past with Villa-Boas, but I doubt Porto are going to want to dismantle a triple winning team especially not for less than their clauses allow
