Yeh, lol bit of an anticlimax if you ask me.
-
Yep I agree to an extent, the only thing that concerns me is that if and when he plays for Spain (who provide some of the best service to strikers, with the likes of Xavi, Iniesta & Fabregas) he doesn't look much better. I mean fair enough in the WC he had a poor tournament I mean Rooney's was equally poor and look at him now. But I believe that the key to the problem is Torres with the Chelsea squad not really doing any favours, I mean most of the players seem to be trying to break in themselves so would rather get a goal themselves than pass it to Torres. But fingers crossed with Mata here and hopefully Torres focusing on football he should do well, I mean the main game he played well in was against Stoke and he was very unlucky that we weren't at our best and Stoke were being well...Stoke.

Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

Very interesting regarding AVB: Here's the source: http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/columnists/martin-lipton/Chelsea-Why-leaving-Fernando-Torres-on-the-bench-could-be-the-making-of-Andre-Villas-Boas-as-a-top-boss-Martin-Lipton-column-article798002.html -
Don't know, don't really want to sell Torres but I love Pato as a player he is top class, only problem is with injuries. If it involves a loan between the two players than I wouldn't mind. Honeslty there have been two strikers that I've been watching for a few years who I feel can add alot to Chelsea and can become some of the best players in the world, they are Pato and Aguero. Although If there was a swap, I'd expect AC Milan to add money despite Pato's £40+ million'ish Gallani valuation. But still don't really want to sell him I want to see him at his best form again at Chelsea.

Yep, not too sure about Torres too atm - I remember in the UCL he got the nod over Drogba and when Drogba came on he scored, I know they scored minutes after and Torres hit the post but not sure if Utd in their impervious form will be a good place for Torres to start atm he could have a great game I mean I don't think I'd be angry or nervous if he started as I do still have faith. We haven't actually seen a full game with Mata and Torres yet (let alone Meireles too), wonder if we try it against Leverkuson .I know Lukaku won't get the nod but I definitely want to see him come on, especially if Drogba doesn't recover in time. Sturridge & Mata must start, I hope we don't fall for the 'inexperience' factor in a big game like this because Kalouda ahead of Sturridge won't get us anywhere. Without those two atm we do lack flair and are a different beast. Don't want too talk of Lampard not starting because theirs no chance, especially in a game like this but I guess I'm not going to complain because of that even though I am more than confident that Mceachran would do a better job even against Utd Wonder if Luiz could start, if he does Bosingwa will have to be dropped to the bench and Ivanovic would take his place - it's way too risky too have the both of them playing against Utd atm. And like Tomo I’d be scared shitless with Bosingwa’s defending, I mean Boswingwa and Luiz lol it could be genius or disaster. United have looked good, but their opponents (including Arsenal) have been absolutely shocking. The defending has been poor, and we should definitely fare better. Hopefully we have learnt from our last encounter and try and abate the Rooney- Hernandez combination. Ivanovic normally gives Nani a good time, and both Young and Nani aren't going to have the luxury of facing poor fallbacks in Cole and Ivanovic. Meireles looked good against Sunderland, but weather it'd be Mikel or him I'm not sure - either way I think we're ok their. (Still wish we had Essien though ) Anyways we're well equipped, like mentioned its not fulham v Man Utd lol

When's Mceachran going to get a chance?
-
Yeh I remember, like I said I am unsurprised. Guess I just want him to have as much chances as he can ASAP.
-
Kakuta's on the bench, bit annoyed but unsurprised. Also Leverkuson won 4-1 away.
-
He's just quality, still get pissed off that he could of been ours, but when I think of Lukaku it eases the pain. We have to keep the faith with Torres, he will come good hopefully.
-
Bolton Man Utd soon, hopefully kakuta gets a start and helps snatch some points of them
-
4 games over, not the best but got the points. Man City looking really good, Aguero, Nasri, Silva, Tevez, Dzeko! But we started off like them last year, and utd started off like us. Still don't get Kalou being included and Lukaku being dropped. Is Mceachran ever going to get a chance?
-
Honestly... just makes it stupidly tense now.
-
Sturridge you beast!
-
http://www.skysports...7159945,00.html Will that help him or will the extra pressure just cause him to play worse? Who knows but one thing is certain its not going to improve his confidence...
-
Yup, great game by Mata was one of the top 5 players on the pitch
-
Hope Mata stays well, bitter-sweet with Torres, no chances of injury but not sure how his confidence would fair knowing he's not even in the team. Must be precautionary anyways, despite the strength of the fielded players today.

It's quite common really, a lot of my friends say the same stuff about Mikel but they simply don't understand his role or watch the games. He's not meant to be attacking or scoring goals like Iniesta, but is a Defensive Midfielder. IMO The lack of glamour surrounding his playing position, and him as a person further perpetuates a farcical notion that he "shit" and "not good enough". Yes he's not going to be starring in any new Nike or Adidas campaigns soon, but a player in his position rarely does, fact is he's still good at what he does.
-
Lol surely this is worse than the Neymar thread.
-
Oh dear he's been subbed off 10 minutes in the Brazil Ghana game. He's such a talent but he's injury problems are concerning to say the least. Having a player like him injured isn't just bad for Ganso but football in general.

Wow, sorry... I'm merely opening a thread to discuss a possible transfer which looked dead a few months ago when it was closed. But why not open a thread to discuss the possibility of signing a player we are still being linked with. I mean some others are open, which are just fantasy - this may be a long shot but its a possibility. The thread's previous thread's tedious nature doesn't need to be duplicated here, I guess lessons can be learnt. The Modric situation if you ask me is just as bad if not worse.
-
Kinda yeh, I used to come on here as unregistered user and saw the thread remember there being some guy who made a 'Welcome to Chelsea Neymar' video, think it was feroze .
-
That's the thing; I couldn't picture someone like Mourinho signing a risky prospect for a high sum of money when they already have a world class player like Di Maria there. This is definitely a Perez signing, and Neymar & his father need to realize that.
-
In respect of attitude yes, 100%, yes. But its not easy to get those humble personalities like the Zidane's, Messi's & Lukaku's etc. Instead you get cunts like Ronaldo, least if we get Neymar he will be our cunt
-
His attitude isn't good, and he's not exactly built for the league but he has shown that he can still play against the some animals when he's had too e.g Netherlands, De Jong. He dives, for sure yes and he needs to get that out of his system - I think pele actually told him too stop, wonder if he's changed latley, but I think that if any player is good enough they can make it. When Ronaldo came to the league he was damn skinny, and size doesn't always matter - Messi, Silva, Modric etc. Overrated, he may be but he you can't argue that he can become world class. At his age he's already become quite a household name and I think he can succeed. But if you can Hazard/Gotze for half the price than logic would dictate from there, however I think he is the 27th most Marketable athlete in the word ahead of the likes of Rooney and Manny P. So would be a merchandising gold mine for us. Was it really that bad before
