1. Guillem's twitter: GuillemBalague Nani man of the match. Torres best Chelsea player this season so far. El niño is back... Hasn't been our best by he has improved anyone who suggests otherwise are idiotic twats who don't watch football. Oh and that's the difference between the Spainish media and English media, they don't kick a man when he is down but instead are 100% behind them, remember Rooney in the WC and the english media?
2. What about Mata again, his balls were just pure class. Strange game that, especially when Fergie admits we coudlve got 3 in the first half. We were without doubt the better team, the Skysports Pundit seemed to be on a general consensus over that too - however its just that clinical finishing we missed. Utd 5 shots, 3 goals. The difference is just confidence, which Utd are oozing. Rooney can go home smiling though, because he played worst that Torres today who will go home unhappy despite the fact he that played quite well. Overall though I'm happy with our performance, if we lost 1-0 and were negative it;d be a hell of a lot worse that what happened today. Let's face it 2 offside goals and 1 fluke isn't something I'd be too proud of, Utd's " brilliance" has been so exaggerated its unreal. Anelka yet again pulled off a great cameo, fantastic by Boas to have the guts too take Lampsy off. Even though we know hes not the Lamps of old, the media and pundits coudlve really exploited that. The only negative was some shabby defending, a one off for Cole too but I must say I was shitting myself over set pieces. What the hell were we doing for the first goal, even though it was clearly offside. These little cracks will be addressed, I mean it's just a matter of time with the quality our defence avail. BTW who's watching real Madrid v Levante - they had a silence, with a sad song playing in the background.
3. Didn't play again today Ah well, if I remember right Sturridge didn't get the first few game too. Just want him to have a chance!
4. Agreed, I do think his time is nearing an end but I certainly didn't see anything menacing in his tone. He's got a good personality, seems like a funny guy but nobody should be scared of this so called "PR campaign" it's funny how things like this can get so twisted. He's a great human being, with all his charity work and stuff. Anyways none of this will impact when he will be sold, his performances on the pitch will define that. It's ridiculous to assume otherwise, with Lamps, Terry and Drogba it is so very different. Difficult to describe it but no matter what Malouda does it can't ever be the same. But I agree Armour, he's good for the cameras and can speak English. I for one am not worried about his air-time. :541: He said he'd give it a shot and I think Kalouda haven't got long left. God I really hope we target Hazard, he'd help take us to the next level with his speed and also Neymar or Goetze (yes I know these two are unlikely). Hoping Kakuta and Davilla have succesfull loans too because the both of them can be whatever they want if they fufill their potential. Pato would be as good as Aguero would have been for me, they're two strikers I have been following for years and always dreamt of grabbing one. Any of these acquisitions would definitely spell Kalouda's end. Besides Kalou hasn't even had a breath of first team action for a few games now, he's going no matter what ( I hope).
5. They just showed Wycleaf Jean singing in a charity event in a Chelsea kit for a charity with Malouda on Chelsea TV.
6. Lol Drogba calling him now, failing an accent - think he tried serbian? Joking with him about his Midfield position he played against Leverkusen. Good stuff.
7. Thing is Boas did say we were rotating squads so the chances are that our forward line up could be different, whatever the case I certainly hope Lukaku gets a run-in because he can definitely do something against Utd, especially if Drogba isn't fit (he won't be probably). I'd be happy with same front line that e fielded yesterday ( Sturridge - Torres - Mata), but Anelka should come on too sometime - he's a great sub option and proved it against bayer too. Most people seem to have the general consensus on what team we should field and it seems as though we all want it, its a given that Ramires must start he always does brilliant against United, let alone most of his opponents. The only thing is Ivanovic or Bosinwga, for me Banislav because he's the far better defender and in a team with Luiz and Ramires who also loves bombing up front we need a solid player like him. Plus he always shows Nani who's boss :eyebrows:
8. Did anyone see Pato today? His goal was sublime (poor defending still superb though) everything that I like about him, Speed commitment and of course the Cool finish.
9. Erm a toughy I'd probably go for either Ivanovic, Luiz or Mata, close call but Mata would probably pip it just. Can't forget Anelka's superb addition to the game.
10. Look at the comment by this clueless guy on the Sun articale: What a mug.
11. Amazing by Milan one of the quickest goals in CL ever, who else but Pato?
12. Torres could of have 3 already if luck was on his side, 1 definately
13. If Torres scores against Leverkusen tomorrow this thread will probably be locked
14. Dispatches are talking about Chelsea medical techniques atm Both Chelsea and Man U rep's where at some meeting discussing some new medical techniques.
15. Yep I agree to an extent, the only thing that concerns me is that if and when he plays for Spain (who provide some of the best service to strikers, with the likes of Xavi, Iniesta & Fabregas) he doesn't look much better. I mean fair enough in the WC he had a poor tournament I mean Rooney's was equally poor and look at him now. But I believe that the key to the problem is Torres with the Chelsea squad not really doing any favours, I mean most of the players seem to be trying to break in themselves so would rather get a goal themselves than pass it to Torres. But fingers crossed with Mata here and hopefully Torres focusing on football he should do well, I mean the main game he played well in was against Stoke and he was very unlucky that we weren't at our best and Stoke were being well...Stoke.
16. Very interesting regarding AVB: Here's the source: http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/columnists/martin-lipton/Chelsea-Why-leaving-Fernando-Torres-on-the-bench-could-be-the-making-of-Andre-Villas-Boas-as-a-top-boss-Martin-Lipton-column-article798002.html
