  1. Not to mention some leagues have started Edit: a friend is watching, just messaged me saying it Does not Look good.
  2. OMFG I was happy that he was starting too, would have been good for confidence!! Let's hope it's just precautionary sub. On the plus Ramires is doing good, and flicked to the Croatia game too see Modric yet again pulling the strings - someone like him would make such a difference.
  3. Agreed, plus many of their players have other clubs in mind, or never wanted to join in the first place. Balotelli's holding up for Milan, Aguero never wanted to be their (doubt it will affect his play) Tevez wants to leave but will also give his all, Clichy once called players who play their money hunters, and I doubt Nasri wants to head off to City also. Plus I also remember Silva & Yaya Toure saying he'd love to play for Chelsea, they was almost asking for us. That's probably some of their best players their and with some of the egos they have arguments and such will undoubtably occur, I remember their were quite a few last year. These arguments could harm the team spirit, preperation and subsequently hinder their ability to play at their best. Plus they also have one of the most negative managers their is who couldn't even conjur up the will to bring on, in my opinion their best striker. In Chelsea we have the spirit, and even Utd for that matter. And wouldn't you know we're the 2 that are always fighting for the league. Arsenal have/had there share of want-aways, Liverpool had theirs, Villa had theirs - and they were all negativly affected. I'd say the Scum-spurs are also pretty united and you can see the results. Not saying that these acquisitions wont help, because they can, but a players mindset is at times as important as his quality.
  4. Oh nice surprise but is that allowed
  5. IMO for a long time we've lacked something on the wing, Malouda can be great at times but since Robben left, we lost speed, flair and creativity their. Even Cole for that matter (before his injury woes). Thats why I was so excited when we were being linked with Neymar I mean a Anelka/Kalou/Malouda - Torres/Drogba/Lukaku - Sturridge/Lukaku Compared to a Hazard/Mata/Neymar - Torres/Drogba/Lukaku- Sturridge/Lukaku the difference really is huge, we'd have someone beating players, speed and better deliveries for sure. Maybe not so much Neymar yet, but he can run past all of them to score However, if we don't sign any wingers this window than Kakuta being given a chance adds something different, more like the 2nd suggestion: Kakuta - Torres/Drogba/Lukaku- Sturridge/Lukaku Not really the finished product yet, but he can definitely do better than what we've been deploying. Plus I think if we can nurture him to fulfill his potential than he can easily become one of the best. I've always wanted to give him a chance, even if we sign a winger he needs some more game time. Don't see why we should loan him out when that is a spot we struggle in.
  6. People thought I edited his attributes on Fifa because he was out-strengthening/speeding players like Vidic, shoving them aside as if he's Walcott. He's virtually guarenteed to be gifted better attributes too just because he joined
  7. Losing Sahin was just frustrating, we'd been chasing him for a long time too Sahin & Ozil is one bright midfield for Madrid, both at discount prices of around $10 million and $16 million too Didn't Gotze sort of label us as a "buying to win" club once though? Still it would be great if we did manage to get him a few seasons down the line.
  8. 3:00 am in the UK, nothing officially finalised yet. Answering magic weeds, I just see that as another positive attribute pertaining to Lukaku's professionalism as it further highlights to me that the lad just loves playing football. Been watching some more of his vids/games and am just getting more and more excited over the prospect of him playing with Torres, Sturridge and Drogba etc. A lot of the rivals are too or rather just beginning to comprehend the versatility and power we avail, especially the Arsenal fans
  9. Ouch it looks like he's broken his fibula! He's going to the hospital now to get it X-Rayed.
  10. Nice work mate like the new feel, however here's a few suggestions if you don't mind I think we should have the rep near the avatar area similar to were it used to be, post count dictates my rep in a way. Also Bigger avatar sizes
  11. :541: Theres many beasts without brains (*HINT* Balotelli) But a beast + brains = Lukaku Saw this comment on youtube, got a good feeling in my stomach On another note, how good are strikers going to be in Fifa He was/is already a beast on Fifa 11
  12. A lad who loves Chelsea and is extremely talented, we're not going to get any moaning from him. All I sense is positive vibes, what a fantastic signing.
  13. Thank God for that, but on another note seeing as though we're failing to get Modric and have failed with Pastore, why not jump in for Ganso? Luiz Alvaro Ribeiro just recently said "But if he wants to leave Santos, we will not have any objections to that. We have to respect the player's wish. He has his dreams, his ambitions". I know his heart is set on Milan but as we've seen many times money talks, and Gallani has already said once or twice he's too expensive. It would be a risk, Pastore-like but greater. The only problem is the price, I wonder what the real demands are if Milan can't match them. I know ridiculous figures like 40 million have been said but I highly doubt it.
  14. I've been hearing some rumors that Milan could use this to finally get Drogba. Not too surprised, their such clever business-men getting players like Ibra, Cassano and Robinho all last season at discount prices. What would you guys think? I'm sure that Drogba has got a season or mabye two in him but how could we use this too change the ultimate price for Pato - bearing in mind that it has also been said that despite Abramovich's intentions to bring Pato too the Bridge previously, this is very much a Boas driven target.
  15. We gotta stop with these pictures, I saw an Neymar one, Aguero one, I made a Pastore one and now a Pato one. Let's hope this one will come to fruition though, as too Neymar hopefully in the future - despite Riberio's persistence in wanting to sell to Madrid, and other interferences.
  16. Exactly! When people say we don't need new strikers they forget that the age of our players and the competition. Look at City: Stil have Tevez, Aguero, Balotelli, Dzeko with David Silva feeding and some great talents like Gae Assulin (leached from Barca) Besides why would we not want Pato, who in their right mind wouldn't take him Yep, 5* skills and all :eyebrows:
  17. Wow, don't want to get too excited but this signing would be as good as Aguero could have. I really like Pato and have done for a long time, he's just brilliant. Yet, this is one source and I'm not going to consider the prospect too strongly until Sky Sports or BBC report it. If I remember right he recently said he wanted to 'become an AC Milan legend' and an important attraction point with him being linked with us a year back was Ancelotti. Since then Ancelotti has gone (but Villas-Boas who could prove tantalising to a player of his style has taken over), Milan have signed some more Brazilians ( not that we haven't), won the Serie A, and both parties agreed to pen a contract extension to keep him at the San Siro until 2014. Besides the way we've been negotiating recently, like Henrique inferred, the chances of getting him of Milan's hands are even lower. I mean £20 million + Kalou/Anelka haha
  18. Don't want another failed signing, Chelsea snap him up ASAP. We've missed out on so many potential gems, heck we even missed out to PSG! Wish we went after Aguero the people around him seemed to say Chelsea was best for him: http://www.espn.co.u...ory/103457.html<--Even former United players...
  19. Well obviously many people are reluctant to take his signature off Real Madrid's hands at his age, and due to his injury woes. Their are players that take precedent to him thats for sure, but if we can get haggle a cheaper price tag mabye 15 million or less, a figure that I'm sure will be effectively lowered with his shirt sales and merchandise, it isn't too bad. Van Der Vaart showed us how you can move from Real to the premier league and achieve great success. I see no reason why Kaka can't. But it all depends on a reasonable price, Kaka's chances in midfield have certainly lowered at Madrid, and mabye we could use this as a ploy to lower his price. Nevertheless capturing Modric is most definitely of an higher priority, it's not like by January we will be lacking midfielders by the number and talent.
  20. 4 hours 20+ mins last season = Drogba+ Torres no goals 27 seconds pre-season = Drogba + Torres (1) goal :champions:
  21. Crazy to think this is Torres's 2nd club trophy/achievement since his segunda division's promotion to la liga. At least we can always tell Liverpool fans that Fernando Torres has now won more trophies with Chelsea than he did in his whole career at Liverpool. Hopefully the first of many, good game and a brilliant first half too.
  22. I'm not sure but over the past few weeks I've been getting an annoying feeling that the Chelsea management, and all responsible for transactions feel that our squad is good enough, and additional acquisitions are luxuries. Apart from the Modric saga I've never sensed urgency. I don't want to criticise, because I do really like AVB and want him too stay for a long time but I can't help but think that if Ancelotti had this window a few names, mainly Aguero would have been signed.
  23. I really want Neymar too, I've wanted him at Chelsea for so long but it just seems that with the influence of Pele and Big Ronaldo Real Madrid would be his most likely destination . But If somehow Roman can bring him in than ALL the our misses will be forgiven for me :cfc:.And on Pastore I really don't mind losing him out for €43 million for that we could get Mata+Lukaku+K.D.Bruyne or Modric/Sneijder. Besides if Pastore himself choose PSG over Chelsea we don't want him, becuase its not like we don't offer good money he just went Robinho on us.
  24. I beg to differ, Yossi was an astute signing by Ancelotti but David Luiz will hopefully become legendary and stay with us for a very long time. Ramires & Sturridge were also other brilliant signings by King Carlo, all of which I rate higher than Benayoun's acquisition. IMO.
