The Official TC 'We don't hate Man City thread'

Yeh I agree with Sloth, you've had Arsenal fans like Jack Wilshere and Piers Morgan - who probably don't like us much, wanting us to win because Tottenham will get knocked out too. Everyone has their personal preferences but notice how many posters on their forums who are rooting for Chelsea because they hate Tottenham It's English v Germans so there will be a few patriotic reasons too. -

He brought us but the squad didn't change instantly, so it doesn't make a difference on the playing side at all within that week. If he wasn't their we'd have still got their. -

haha no chance, our London rivalry effectively negates that. On a side note I didn't think I'd ever have to argue with a fellow Chelsea fan whether our success is solely down to the money. -
Chelsea players in: John Terry, Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard DOWNING OVER STURRIDGE WTF!

I'm not denying it helped. I said it catalysed us which it did. Your missing the point. Man City were fighting relegation and now just won a premier league. Prior to Abramovich coming we were in a Champions League semi-final and were 2nd in the league that year, with City being in the bottom five I think - go and check if you want. The money took us the next level where as it completely transformed City. Unfortunately everything takes a backseat to a paycheck and they are living proof that you can buy a league. -

No our success was catalysed. They were losing 8-1 to clubs like Middlesbrough and unlike us, have been relegated. -

Well yes to a certain degree. Why do we hate United and Liverpool? It isn't a london derby is it. It's because they've technically been barriers to our success (More so Man U) and Liverpool fans exacerbate my hate, but aren't the primary cause. I hate Utd but City's success is just as bad if not worse because of how they achieved it. Their success was borne out of a sheer monetary injection. You started this thread out of a likening to City fans comments. You should therefore rename this title to 'We don't hate Man City fans'. Personally I don't hate some QPR fans because most I know are top guys, but that doesn't mean I don't hate the club. -

Bit of a joke thread, City are one of the clubs I despise. Literally buying their success. Chelsea were a club with foundation pre Abramovich. This is a fallacious thread. We've lost players like Aguero, SIlva, Toure and probably Hazard because of them and possibly failed in the league due to them. In regards to personal encounters with City fans, I haven't met many, my opinion is instead based on how they have affected Chelsea's success, which is the number one thing. -
The source itself wasn't goal, he told Ona FM - and there are legitimate quotes saying he wants to leave and some others saying otherwise. Just thought I'd post it anyhow - one things for sure he's said he would return to Barca if they called with no hesitation earlier this week.
-
On Top of this before he came to Man City, he said he says he had two dreams - a) too play with his brother ( which he did at City) and b ) play with Drogba at club level,(his Ivory Coast captain). What do you think? I know he lost some fans over the Mata stuff, but he is an incredible player - plus leaving Man City to is a good plus as it'd be a huge loss to them and a bit of a fuck you to their accomplishments if he leaves them over us. I think he's vying a Barca return atm, but Real are very keen and with Drogba at the healm I think it is a possibility, no matter how much City hate it.
-
Ridiculous for you to say that. Have you seen Benzema this season? Just look at his stats, he's scored 30+ goals and got 10+ assists. Nobody could stop him scoring for a large chuck of the season. That sounds like a world class striker to me, not to mention he's only 24 so can still improve. And also these Real Ibra' rumours are BS' (his agent himself said the same).

Eden Hazard: "To Manchester, as I have already said. The decision will be taken soon" http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11679/7756885/Hazard-confirms-Manchester-move Sickening feeling.Good luck on the bench... What a travesty. Let's win the champions league and show him what he missed. He was guaranteed 1st team action at the Bridge.

In the midst of a victory brought by endless pounds Chelsea have finished a derisory 6th (our worst for 10 years) ending the United-Chelsea monopoly. But lets not forget. in the darkness a glimmering ray of light still glows bright aided by our exploits in the FA Cup - The UCL final. On the face of it a victory will give us breath in the Champions league next season, and a prestigious double. But the overtones are far greater. At this stage City with their Ethiad deal provide a most tantalizing prospect for any player to join with Man United being up their too. But winning can change it all - we can't forget our check book is not exactly eclipsed by City. Their purse is ridiculous yes, but with our clear need to replenish footballers looking to play football would surely be enticed to join the European Champions. City have a damn good squad and aren't going to stop replenishing by the looks of it, but Roman won't be so easily outdone. Competing in the champions league next year will go a long way and I firmly believe if we do, players like Hazard - who have shown footballing intellect - will choose Chelsea.Winning the League, will crown you champions of England but winning the Champions league will crown you club world champions. I know what I'd prefer.

That's terrible, one of the worst things that'd be.

Amazing what £750 million gets you...
