Sky sports News: Didier Drogba's representatives have distanced themselves from the quote in France Football magazine. Just saw it on TV
-
Mourinho was acussed of paying too much for Drogba (ยฃ24m) and said: "Judge it when he leaves the club." One of the best buys in history no doubt.
-
Can't we give him a send off. The UCL win was fitting, but I mean like a small little ceremony style thing like what Hazard had yesterday for Lille.
-
Oh mann
-
First a trophy winning save that is as good as a goal. Chelsea win the FA Cup. Robben gets pen, saves game and forces extra time. Saves an Olic Pen Maybe got a touch on sweinsteiger's pen. Went the right way EVERY time in a UCL final. Chelsea win Champions League. Makes you wonder doesn't it?

Apparently he gave a post match interview to a local German TV station in fluent German.

โฌ32 million apparently, I thought Lucas and Neymar were not moving at all, Pele said to protect them too. It is very difficult to refuse, European Champions come knocking on your door makes it harder too. If we do end up getting him and even Hazard I wouldn't know what to say. Doubt it though, but after this week...

Don't wanna sound like a cheap ass. But, does any one reckon the Champions 12 kit will go down in price? And also are they limited? If the price doesn't go down than I'm going to get one asap (Along with scarf ). I just don't want to buy one and a few days later the price goes down

My take on the situation now: Like I thought a UCL victory would change everything and it has to a certain extent. Man City Pros - They have all the money, and any wage bill could be met. - The attacking football they play is sometimes very attractive and Hazard would suit it. If I'm being honest he is good enough to play in City's wing even with the competition - 'I'll be wearing blue next season' Cons - City's squad is very saturated, Silva, Nasri, Johnson, Milner. - Mancini, even though they play attacking football is a big stumbling block imo. A man who can't keep his word, will not exactly be able to promise him first team like us and Utd to an extent. He's mishandled Adam Johnson terribly, and Balotelli despite what the media say hasn't been handled that well. He's attacked him quite a few times. 'The priority for Eden is one thing: games. Opportunities. It might be best for him to join a club just below the biggest." - Hazard's dad. Everything coincides to City losing ground. A few weeks ago they weren't the 'biggest', 7 points off United, and City seemed inevitable. His manager slipped that he will join his Belgium compatriot 'Kompany' apparently a few weeks ago, and just yesterday he said Hazard' changed his mind. Put the pieces together and it does seem as though he's seen sense. Canal+ have told him about City's squad size before on many occasions, last window they were ruling them out completely saying stuff like 'it's not City, their squad is too large' and were all saying betting it's Chelsea. He just smiled. Man United Pros -Even with Young, Valencia and Nani he may fancy himself - Fergie. - Probably the most important factor. Fergie made Ronaldo, when he promises you games and an opportunity you will get it. Look at De Gea and even Ronaldo initially. He's proven himself time and time again, if he is willing to dish out the cash than Hazard may be tempted. - He said Manchester is where he's going, so before we won the UCL I think United would have been in his mind, contrary to what many think. Cons - Even though they have Fergie, his priority is opportunities. Out of three I think we know Chelsea are the team that can offer him games day in day out. - Money, Their debts are astronomical, David Gill has said they're willing to spend but he's said it time and time again with no actual results. I doubt they can compete with City and ourselves. Chelsea Pros - We were ruled out a few weeks ago, but like we all suspected UCL football next year - so important to Eden - would pull us back in for sure. His dad said perhaps he won't join the best but beyond our dream victory does lay an opportunity to play no doubt. - The lack of quality width in Malouda, Kalou, Sturridge. Opportunities are easily the best at Chelsea. - Belgium and France, his native county is a hour by train, on that same note London is attractive to every footballer in the world. London>Manchester to live - he has a child, and a place close to home may comfort him. - He can completely change the face of football at Chelsea, and will flourish IMO no doubt. First team football all the time, he should look at Mata to see how one player, that we needed so much, got the time. - Money, Abramovich will be beaming still and we can compete with City in money terms. - He knows Lukaku, De Bruyne will join, and Thibaut Courtois. A familiar Belgium contingent is comforting, especially to a 21 year old leaving his home. Cons - Unlikely con this - That belgium security may attract him, but Lukaku hasn't had time at the Bridge. It could deter him to see a first team player in Belgium see so little time, even though it shouldn't. - Lack of managerial security, hearing he'll be playing from the mangers mouth would comfort him even more, but logic should still show that he'll play day in day out. - He's said Manchester Overall United are probably winning the race IMO, with Chelsea second and City last. I hope our financial power can tip the balance though.

The squad: Goalkeepers: Iker Casillas - Real Madrid Pepe Reina - Liverpool David De Gea - Manchester United Defenders: Raul Albiol - Real Madrid Jordi Alba - Valencia Alvaro Arbeloa - Real Madrid Alvaro Domรญnguez - Atletico Madrid Nacho Monreal - Malaga Sergio Ramos - Real Madrid Juanfran Torres - Atletico Madrid Midfielders: Isco Alarcon - Malaga Xabi Alonso - Real Madrid Santi Cazorla - Malaga Juan Mata - Chelsea Benat - Betis Javi Garcรญa - Benfica Bruno Soriano - Villarreal David Silva - Manchester City Jesus Navas - Sevilla Attackers Adrian Lopez - Atletico Madrid Alvaro Negredo - Sevilla Fernando Torres - Chelsea Roberto Soldado - Valencia edit: just saw that, lol

Let's hope it bites them in the ass like it did with us for Aguero, Pastore, Neymar etc.
-
They organised it a month and a bit ago, but since then a lot of equations have entered the fray and if it did play a part then it might not anymore with his manager confessing that Hazard has changed his mind in recent weeks.
-
Damn, sky sources saying he wants to join United. Can't find a link but it's on the channel when they go through their transfer round up.
-
Torres and Mata going to the Euros!

Promising: http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2012/05/21/3116405/hazard-has-changed-his-mind-says-lille-boss-garcia I know its goal but it has quotes and not a exclusive so could be true. Also Guardian have posted the Hazard news, and they have included the quote which said his agent met with Chelsea & Manchester. Guardian are pretty reliable too.

The Suns take on the Canal+ interview, but shows he ain't primarily money grabbing.
-
Yeh that's a legit source too. He told canal+ apparently. Makes perfect sense and is exactly what most of us predicted. It's common sense why pledge your future to a club when your gonna be benched or something only to find Chelsea offer you better opportunities. We need to make a decision on the manager ASAP it adds certainty to the prospect of him being played if he hears it from the manger mouth.
-
At redcafe they were so confident their and now think Chelsea are favorites. He's such a brilliant player but the media and his words aren't doing any good to his reputation. Off the pitch and on it he always seemed like a top guy IMO. Then again everyones bitching because they want him so much and they didn't here what they wanted.
-
He's on canal +
