http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/154197.html Steve Clarke leaves Liverpool. Good stuff, imagine seeing Rogers and Clarke working together at Liverpool Wonder if we're going to make a move of any sorts.

Am I really going to get the number 17 on the back of my shirt :lol2: Numbers don't really bother me too much anyhow it's not exactly going to determine how well he plays. Touche. Man United's no.7 has it's own history. Drogba is one of my favourite players of all time but we could potentially start our own legacy with Hazard. Winning the Baloon d'Or as the no.11 would be a fitting testament to Drogba and Hazard does have the potential.

Congrats

See what I mean? Already a couple of doubters.

For real lol, personally I'd like Gotze a lot more, but there's a lot of pessimistic people out there, and I could envisage some people saying "Oh he's a bit lightweight, too risky for the price" etc etc.
-
No real credible websites linking him to Chelsea recently. But I was wondering who would you guys pick between Hulk & Gotze if you had to choose? Personally I wouldn't mind Hulk to the bridge at all. However this guys a great talent and would be my preference, imo we should try our best to get Gotze, he's 5 years younger and incredibly talented. The main + of Hulk over Gotze would be that he's not as much of a risk, and Hulk's also more of a goal scorer. Other than that Gotze ticks all the boxes IMO. That said, we seem very hot on Hulk and not so much on Gotze, and I also don't see Gotze leaving unless there's big money on the table (I think he signed a contract extension recently).

Easily one of the best tweeters :

Agree, the main problem with Torres though was his confidence. It affected important factors of his game. As a striker he should be mobile and try not to drop deep into flanks. A few games where he was even the lone striker he had the tendancy to drop deep. His service was terrible though so I can understand that aspect, and when your low on confidence it doesn't help. But recently, and the last two games in Spain you could see the confidence in his play. I'm hoping he has a good tournament, he has the service in Spain and coming back to Chelsea he may have it here too.

Although there were large parts of the season where he was getting incredibly poor service and not scoring as a result of that. That still doesn't cover up for the fact that Torres himself did deserve some blame, not to the scale he received but definitely some. You can look as early as the WC to prove that, he had some of the best service available; but still couldn't score or even look close to scoring (he may have been recovering from an injury, but thats no excuse imo, recovering from injuries is part of being a professional footballer). The latter end of the season further highlights that he was his own enemy at times, the players didn't change from Jan' to the end of the season. But he started performing well and scoring goals, he gained confidence (RDM definitely deserves credit here) and looked a little more like the player we'd last seen in 09-10. Not going to happen. Abramovich clearly wants him to be the No.1 and signing the likes of Falcao will definitely prevent that from happening. I like Falcao a lot as a player and imo he's the best striker in the world right now. But we can't turn into Man City and just buy players irrationally. We have Torres, thats not exactly a bad thing; I can guarantee you most fans would love to have him in their team (even now). Not to mention the fact the we have some great talents like Sturridge & Lukaku. So I don't think we should go for Falcao at this stage, anyhow the futures bright!

Well he is a top, top player always enjoyed watching him at Dortmund. This year he has been brilliant, made more of an impact to their success in this season than the 1st because of his injury. Gotze may attract the big names but Kagawa's touch and vision could make him an essential part of United's team. He's also scored a lot of important goals this season and I reckon he'll link up well with Rooney. First Japanese player they've ever had I believe, so their will be a big prospect for shirt sales since their Asian fans make up 325 million of the 659 (or whatever) they have.

Saw this comment on Daily Fail's 'Eden Hazard signs' article'. Deluded scousers.

Why are people bitching? We've effectively just signed one of the elite talents.
-
Wikipedia says a lot of things, doesn't make it true. That said however, it does seem very likely that he will be No.11.

TERMS AGREED FOR EDEN HAZARD: http://www.chelseafc...2797352,00.html He's on Chelsea TV too Welcome the Bridge
-
He didn't. The interviewer asked him why not Real or Barca'.
-
Key Things so far: He's in London They asked him why Chelsea over Barca Real: I choose Chelsea because they have the best project. My priority is to play (something on those lines). On Chelsea Manager: I'm not sure if RDM will be manager but I'll speak with him on my position. Converstation with Abramovich: He loves football. Also both Hazard and Abramovich had similar ideas. UCL Win: UCL win made him think it was between Utd and Chelsea, he likes Chelsea's youth too. Interview just finished. Very positive interview IMO. Also this should put a stop to the paranoia now surely.
