Same. I have a bad feeling about Sterling & Dembele, just like i had about Lukaku. If those are our only available attacking targets, I'd rather just stick with what we have and concentrate on repairing our back line with quality CBs and sign a backup fullback or 2. Given the less games this season compared to last, that should be enough to remain competitive for top 4.

How we go shopping for players:

Well they finally have it. I'll wait, since it's still way before preseason, but I won't pretend it's all fine after their recent track record. Given how poorly they handled Rudigers and Christensens contract situation, they have a lot to make up for. And acting slow, while other clubs snap up targets does not. My personal opinion is that we don't need a lot more to compete for top 4 this season. But we absolutely need new CBs and we should be close to signing one.

It was the same last window too. Which culminated in the disaster Lukaku signing. People here are harping on about new owners like we need their wallet or something. The people in charge of recruitment are still the same. That's the reality.

One of the worst myths on here is that Emerson is somehow defensively superior to Alonso. IMO., he's even more dangerous. Whereas Alonso lacks speed and sometimes concentration., Emerson on the other hand flat out doesn't give a shit. He'll gladly let crosses swing in from his flank to cause chaos at the back, even if he's close to the attacker.
