Sigh. Really hoping this time we actually get what the press claim we're in for. Too many times this year, we've been strongly linked with superstars, only for things to end up taking a complete U-turn. If this keeps happening, it will feel like the club is only instigating these rumors just to keep the fan base appeased, and not actually accomplishing anything.
-
Just like Bournemouth, I'd still fancy our chances because it's a bottom ten team again, even with James out. The games after this one could be a bit painful., unless we step up big time.
-
Well, there were times when Ronaldo and Messi outscored better Chelsea teams. Not really an interesting stat. And don't need to show that we need to improve our miserable attacking stats.
-
It's official now
-
Just hope the 3-4 weeks is also not a another case of rushing him back. In any case, even if he does come back., he needs to be eased back in. 20 mins per game or something similar. Obviously there's nothing like a fully competitive fixture, but the fact that it took just 50 mins of real game time, as opposed to weeks of training and friendly fixtures to find out his knee wasn't ready, raises questions.
-
Forget new year resolutions, all you Chels fans out there should make a new year wish for an injury free Chelsea team and a speedy recovery for our already injured players.
-
Did you see Thiago Silva straining his leg in the first half? Seems like some fucker has jinxed the club. Seems like every win has to come at the expense of an injury.
-
If he does come back soon, maybe Potter needs to do the opposite. Instead of starting the first 60 mins, let him play the last 20-30 and work his fitness back up.
-
Tendon or Ligament? Two different things, but I think I get what you're saying. I've heard that a tear or a rupture won't fully recover on its own, but I'm not sure if that's the case with James. But then again, maybe he likely needed surgery but decided against it only because of the chance of playing in a WC.

Koulibaly would have been an okay signing if he was here as a second choice CB. Back in the summer I wanted Skriniar here as first choice and KK as a 2nd choice. That way he wouldn't have been so exposed. Too bad Fofana turned out to be injury prone like we feared.
-
The worst thing is Gabriel's oft maligned replacement, Nketiah, actually scored today, to add to that win.
-
Indeed it would. But Bournemouth is a bottom half team. We've shown that we can at least beat those, this season.
-
Liverpool with their owners on the way out. Still making top notch signings. So frustrating to look over the fence at others Just hoping Nkunku turns out to be the real deal.
-
Yeah I've thought about that too. He has made it clear that his family likes London, and that he would like to stay another year. Plus the CL knockout rounds are still there, so at least for the rest of this season, he should be motivated enough.
-
Please keep him here. Don't loan.
-
Loan is not the worst option at their age, but given our lack of quality in terms of depth, we could've retained the services of a couple of them at least till end of the season. Fofana especially.
-
Glad to have James back. If he's even 80% match fit, that should be more than enought to get a win against Bournemouth., who have their own problems with a virus infecting their squad.
-
I hope he shows the same form he showed before the break, and I hope Todd & Co. renew his contract for 1 more year., and not just make a 'practical' decision based on his age.
-
Maybe its my bias towards players from the Ivory Coast, but I have good feelings about this one. Probably the most exciting signing for me in the Todd Boehly era
-
Not with the release clause being bandied about. Recall Colwill from loan?
-
Our 3rd Ivorian striker, after Drogba and Kalou? Would take anyone with even half their finisihing ability at this rate.
-
I'm struggling to recall what caused the injury in the PSG game. Did it happen off the ball?
-
Are you referring to his 1st season at Madrid, or the last one at Chelsea? I think he was more than solid in his last season (under Sarri). Easily our best attacking outlet, and not just in terms of numbers. He also had quality individual goals against Liverpool and West Ham. Seemed like he was peaking then.
-
Would like Bellingham. But he's probably going to Liverpool to revamp their central midfield
-
Seriously dude? You don't think I'll call out Mount for his bad performances? He's been poor in the first two England games and Foden did much better in England's 3rd game instead. There you go Did you look at my 'favorite player' tag when you made that statement.? Stop accusing people of bias when there is none. Fucking annoying. I should probably call you out on Gallagher each time then, but that would be dumb
