I hope this isn't the kind of shit that makes him get cold feet. It's one thing to show support for the owner, but like Tuchel said, there's a time and place for it. And this wasn't it. Hope they don't repeat this at the next game, and especially not at the Bridge.

How is it fixed? Isn't the official deadline to accept bids Mar 15th?? Doubt these papers have a real clue as to who the serious bidders are.

John Terry takes aim at Chris Bryant after being criticised by the Labour MP for paying tribute to outgoing Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine, highlighting his vote for the Iraq war and role in the 2009 expenses' scandal https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-10580625/Chelsea-John-Terry-hits-Labour-MP-Chris-Bryant-criticism-Roman-Abramovich-tribute.html

If the paper talk is to be believed there were also some Asian investors waiting in line. I wonder who.

Liverpool get by because of the management structure, Klopp and their recruiting team. Which is why I'm not too worried. Yet. As long as Buck and/or Marina & Cech are retained in some capacity., and obviously Tuchel, we should be okay in the short term. The other aspect is contract negotiations. I hope whoever comes in doesn't fuck around and let players go without knowing their standing in the team. In short, I just hope we maintain status quo. Retain Connor Gallagher. Not even thinking of transfers for next season.

I'm just hoping he can come through for us one last time, and place us in the right hands before moving on. Not entirely convinced by the investor consortium we are being linked with.

Also, is no one commenting on the poetry in motion? The last trophy won under the Roman era was the club world cup, to finally complete the set. The only one missing from the list. The first trophy we won under Roman is the league cup in 2005 against Liverpool. And, in the seemingly the last trophy competed for under the Roman era, we lost the league cup final, against the same opponents.,Liverpool. Also...reading that one line from his statement on the club website is saddening. I hope that I will be able to visit Stamford Bridge one last time to say goodbye to all of you in person. It has been a privilege of a lifetime to be part of Chelsea FC and I am proud of all our joint achievements. Chelsea Football Club and its supporters will always be in my heart.
-
I can't help but feel the same way too. Especially if all this was anticipated.
-
Roman is Chelsea's Alex Ferguson. Hope we can fare better than United after that.
-
If it does happen, let's be glad that it's at least happening when we have Tuchel already in charge. The biggest challenge when ownership changes is what happens to the management structure below. And at least we have Tuchel in charge of the team. Also, Roman was never going to manage the club forever. But it's a shame if it all ends this way.

Forget buying anyone new. Is anyone concerned about how all these events are going to affect contract negotiations for our current crop? No point in speculating I guess. Just a rabbit hole of misery at this point
-
Something that accomplishes nothing is the same as nothing. Of course there is some merit with the club distancing itself further from acrimonious events like this. But it does nothing but slightly improve the image of the club itself.

Like I said before. It's shows how much people lack perspective. Seizing a football club is not going to save lives. Ukraine is with their back to the walls because of Putin. And they're talking about seizing a football club like that's going to stop him. Ridiculous.
-
Just learned that Roman's mother is Ukrainian and he has relatives there.

Kind of shows how out of touch these politicians are with reality. Seize a football club! Yeah, that will save millions of lives.
-
That's what I recall. At least based on the outcome of the Navalny case, where he vehemently denied links.
-
Just curious though. How did he & Usmanov avoid sanctions in the first round? Was it because of a technicality? Also, does sanctions automatically mean seized assets?
-
Yeah. Pulisic and Havertz playing where they did was super weird. Never even saw them interchange positions even once. I'll chalk that down to one of Tuchel's weird moments. Like when he played James as RCB and Azpi as the WB because he was worried about Azpi coming up against a pack attacker in the center.
-
True, but Pizy does have a point about his fitness. After his one month on sidelines he has come back as a far less agile player. Haven't really seen him bully defenders like he did against Arsenal, or Tyrone Mings. All that talk about making amends and he doesn't seem to be maintaining whatever standard he had.
-
The irony if City don't end up winning a single trophy this season. Especially after Craig Burley and every other pundit out there was blowing smoke up their arse the past few months.
-
Bit of a shame to toss him into a WB position. But its better he plays WB than an inside forward . Either play him as a pure winger or WB. Just play wide.
-
I was moaning about this entire 2nd half lol. Havertz was just wasted being shunted out wide. All that pre-match talk about Havertz and Lukaku forming a partnership and we end up playing Pulisic in the no.10 role. And the latter was awful today. Should have brought on Werner to play wide and move Havertz infield.
-
Probably because they have some rival red team fans in charge, lol. They used to make kits for Arse and Man Utd.
