  1. Prime Mourinho had it all. The looks. The personality. The squad. Hoping for the day we get someone like that again.
  2. What would be interesting is if Newcastle appoint Tuchel somewhere down the line. That will throw the Clearlake Saudi PIF connection under more lights.
  3. Really? I'm more surprised at how many people have more loyalty to an owner who just arrived a few months ago, over a manager who was part of the clubs identity for more than a year and part of an upswing of fortunes. Yes, Boehly pulled us out of the fire with his massive investment. But let's be clear. If not Boehly, it would have been someone else. Don't see why fans need to lick his feet. Atm, I'm seeing trigger happy actions similar to what we've seen in Roman's early days, and even he wasn't this trigger happy then. I hope it all turns out for the better, but it is jarring to say the least
  4. Did Roman sack Ranieri as soon as he bought the club?
  5. Are you going to create a new terminator avatar for Todd?
  6. The players would have caught wind that the new ownership doesn't trust Tuchel
  7. Pulisic and Ziyech must be licking their lips waiting to win favor of the new manager.
  8. No disrespect to Graham Potter. His team play some beautiful football at times, punching above their weight to win against big teams, but some managers do well at mid level clubs and fail when making the step up. It's not really about coaching ability, but it's about personality. Managing a bunch of egotistical millionaires is a whole different scenario. There's also the incredible irony that we loaned Colwill, and sold Gilmour to Brighton to be managed by him. Gilmour must be feeling twice fucked by the club.
  9. This to me is a problem. And it's probably what the players sensed too, making them down tools so easily What all of us wanted from the end of last season was some continuity and stability with the new ownership. In the span of months he has tossed out a lot of the admin and now, the manager which was the only piece of identity remaining from the old regime. And he has allowed the club to bring in more B grade signings. Amateurish. Just like his decision to give KK a 4 year deal.
  10. Based on the sound bytes...we're in for a rough ride. The new ownership seems to be so imposing on the manager. Just days after talking charge and already burning bridges. Who would want to coach a team like this. For all the talk about supporting Tuchel, they seem to be hypocrites. No wonder the team chemistry has been poor. It starts from the top.
  11. Fuck. Another amateurish decision. I mean, things were not rosy but this is some scatter gun approach.. If there was a time NOT to remove a failing manager and destroy continuity, this would be it. We have no DOF, and a lot of brand new unintegrated signings and now this. And why?? Losing the first CL group game and 6th place in the PL after less than 10 games played is definitely not an unsalvageable position to be in. And who are we supposed to bring in? Poch?
  12. You say new league. But the brain fart yesterday happened against a Croatian team. Does he need to adjust to that too?
  13. I've been calling for him to be dropped for a few games. He was dropped for West Ham but he's been promptly recalled for the very next game. Tuchel probably thought he would deliver against weaker opposition. Hope he has now woken up and will relegate him to the bench for the next few games. He needs to work his way back to the starting 11, if he's interested. Mount has not looked his usual self at all this season. No idea what's going on, but the team can't afford to take a chance anymore.
  14. If its just 2 or so players not giving 100%, that can be rectified by dropping them and seeing what happens. And that's what I'm suggesting he has to do to at least try turning things around. The problem is, it seems more deep rooted than just a couple of disgruntled players.
  15. Only just found out that we actually gave him a 4 year contract. No idea why. I mean its not like we'll have to fend off other clubs in 2 years time for his signing. No wonder he's just been phoning it in.
  16. Looking more like a dud to me. Still prepared to give him more time to settle, but that was mainly to adjust to the pace of the PL. Amateurish defending for the Zagreb goal, and every game he looks like he came out from a sauna, just 10 mins into the game. If Tuchel has sense, he would drop him for Chalobah or just stick to playing 2 CBs
  17. So underrated Essien these days...because of his injury ridden career, a lot of people have forgotten how damn good he was. Better than Makelele for me. He could defend, AND he could actually attack with great passing and powerful finishing. Did a lot of dirty work for the team in CDM, CM and even RB roles.
  18. Sigh...hope this guy turns out to be the opposite of Saul and actually turns out to be revelation. The position he operates in midfield is a game changer and can dramatically improve our solidity as a team if it works.
  19. Leave Koulibaly and Mount on the bench. Fat chance though. We'll still see that crappy 3 CB formation.
  20. Based on Chelsea's past when it comes down to squad vs manager, squad always used to win. If Tuchel stands a chance of turning this around., he needs to start from square one again. I'm not talking about just benching every single first teamer (that would just cause an outright revolt among the players). He needs to bench some of the key underperformers for an extended period of time (and not just a game or 2). Drop Mount. Bring in some of the new youth signings. Drop KK (this one is really important, because the guy is turning out to be dud). Either change the formation to play with just 2 CBs and or play Chalobah instead. Give the new CM from Juventus a run out. Yes, we've been terrible with a back 4, but with a different CB combo and more importantly, the right midfield combo, it can change. Back 5 atm is only giving us a false sense of defensive security while offering virtually nothing in attack. Also, he needs to avoid bringing on players like Pulisic or Ziyech. These players don't care about the team. It sucks that we still have them on the bench, like dressing room poison.
  21. I think Mason Mount is the biggest clue here. Something is wrong with the kid to play with so much disinterest as he has in the past 7 games. Granted he's not the most consistent, but you could see him put in the effort in games.. This is an unhappy dressing room atm. For Tuchel's sake...he needs a miracle and a couple of big wins (same thing I suppose) to turn this shite around.
  22. Tuchel sucks atm...but don't want this fraud anywhere near.
  23. We should have allowed the both of them to leave and retained CHO. Dumbass decision to keep Pulisic especially. The guy only cares about the USMNT with the WC approaching soon.
  24. 4+1???? Fuck...that was an amateurish decision. Wouldn't have happened in Roman's watch. Can't blame Boehly because its his first year, and tbf almost everyone thought this was a smart signing. I blame KK more than anyone. The guy seems to be phoning it in.
